Our guide, Una, was a Belfast native who gave us unique insights to the city and Sidney, our driver, was fast! The Cliffs of Moher and Galway City tour with Wild Rover Tours was an incredible experience from start to finish! The tour was exceptionally well-organized. The guide Dave was knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Irish history and culture, which added so much depth to the journey.
The bus was clean, comfortable, and equipped with Wi-Fi, which was a nice bonus. The driver Steven navigated the winding roads with skill, ensuring a smooth and safe journey.
The Cliffs of Moher themselves were absolutely breathtaking, and we had ample time to explore and soak in the stunning views. The itinerary struck the perfect balance between structured activities and free time, allowing us to explore at our own pace.
If you’re looking for a hassle-free, informative, and enjoyable way to experience one of Ireland’s most iconic landmarks, I highly recommend Wild Rover Tours. I’ll definitely be booking with them again for future trips!

We started our day from the city center and left promptly at 06:55. When we started away Eve, our guide, clearly explained how our day would go. She set the expectation of being back to the bus on time. She was very informative when it came to the history of Ireland as well as provided awesome recommendations it was time to stop. For the 1st stop at gas station, it was recommended to grab something to eat at the cliffs and make a pit stop to the restrooms. Also, when we got to the cliffs she recommended to see the views first before checking out the shops and didn’t recommend the interactive experience. The cliffs were awesome, amazing views and was lucky enough to have great weather. Also, there were golf cart shuttles for those that had accessibility limitations which someone in our group needed. I do think 2 hours was more than enough time there. I kinda wish we had 1 hour and a half to have a little more time in Galway. When we got to Galway Eve provided a great recommendations to ensure we got the most out of our time there. Overall great experience if you are into learning the history of Ireland, want to see the different terrains of Ireland, another city of Ireland. Ultimately, our experience with a guide would not have been made if Eve and JP didn’t love what they do. So glad to have them as our guide and driver. You can rest easy if you get JP as your driver. If we were going on small windy roads their was always a heads up to allow those who may easily motion sick a heads up.
Kings head was a great place to eat. Their chowder was amazing. Murphys was great for ice cream and their staff are super friendly. Also if you go to Thomas Dillions, if you pay cash you may save 5 euros.

My sister and I took three Wild Rover day tours during our 10-day trip to Dublin. We visited the Cliffs of Moher/Galway, Giants Causeway/Belfast, and Kilkenny/Wicklough mountains. The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, sharing not only the history of each region, but fun and interesting stories as well. Sarah, our driver for all three tours, did an excellent job of safely navigating both the high speed highways and the narrow, winding country roads of Ireland. The buses were relatively comfortable and had cell phone charging ports. While there were no toilets on the buses, the number of stops during the day at facilities was sufficient. The cost of each tour was reasonable, and booking three tours with Wild Rover earned us a nice discount! We highly recommend Wild Rover Tours!

I recently took a tour to the Cliffs of Moher, and it was absolutely breathtaking! From start to finish, the experience was seamless and unforgettable. The journey to the cliffs was scenic, with plenty of opportunities to see the stunning Irish countryside. Our guide Maurice was knowledgeable, sharing fascinating stories and insights about the history and geology of the area and our driver Sarah is a true star , both of them give a extra , thank you both
Once we arrived at the Cliffs, the views were nothing short of spectacular. Standing on the edge, looking out at the Atlantic Ocean, felt like being on top of the world. The wind, the sound of the waves crashing below, and the dramatic cliffs themselves created a truly awe-inspiring atmosphere.
The tour also provided plenty of time to explore the area, walk along the paths, and take photos. There were helpful safety measures in place, which made me feel comfortable while enjoying the natural beauty around me.
If you’re looking for a tour that combines stunning views, great commentary, and a well-organized experience, I highly recommend this trip to the Cliffs of Moher!

John O’D and John B drove and led our group respectively and both were at the top of their game. Informative, timely, and entertaining throughout the trip we couldn’t have asked for a better lead on this trip. After staying a few days in Dublin this experience felt like a completely different take on Ireland, highly recommend for anyone that has a day to explore.
The group disembarked on time, made great time on the roads, and despite some VERY tight passes, we felt secure throughout.
The Cliffs of Moher was VERY windy, pack a jacket, and a hat that won’t blow off your head but the landscape was an unrivaled in its majesty.
Along the way to Galway, our guide John B called out all of the pertinent landmarks and John O’D was keen to make sure folks got a chance to snap a photo from our charter.
Galway itself is a must visit in terms of culture and history, its pubs and restaurants line the major thoroughfares with buskers dotting the paths, music permeates the atmosphere. Highly recommend visiting after the cliffs as it felt like a welcome treat.
If you’re thinking about going on this day trip, go ahead and do yourself and your travel companions a favor, book it.

If you are traveling to Ireland, this is the must-go place during your trip.
The length of the tour was about 13 hours. Started early before 7:00 AM in Dublin, then a bus will take you to The Cliff of Moher before 11 AM. You get to spend 2 hours sightseeing the amazing view of the Northern Atlantic Ocean, then headed to Galway for another 2 hours browsing the city. Plan your bathroom break and meal time by asking a guide ahead of time.
Our tour guide was Holly and the driver was Marco. They were professional and friendly. Despite the recent starting on this job, Holly looked like an experienced tour guide and very knowledgeable about the history of Ireland. She spoke with every tour guests to ensure they had a great time. Marco's driving skill was fantastic. He maneuvered the bus hugging the tight corners in the city and rural roads.
Highly recommend wearing a warm jacket or windbreaker as the place could be chilly and/or rainy even during summertime. Certain spots have gusty wind, too. Also, recommend wearing comfortable shoes as the path have a lot of ups and downs.

Cliffs of Moher and Galway Excursion Review
Our experience at the Cliffs of Moher and Galway was simply unforgettable! The breathtaking view of the cliffs, with the rushing sea crashing against the rocks and the wind whipping the face, left us speechless. It is one of those natural wonders that you must see at least once in your life.
Our day began with the journey through the Irish countryside, an expanse of green hills and picturesque villages that look like something out of a postcard. The guide, a true professional, made everything even more special: he was nice, welcoming and incredibly prepared. Along the way he told us lots of stories and curiosities about Irish culture, local history and even some fascinating legends. His enthusiasm was contagious, and you could feel how much he loved his job and his country.
After admiring the Cliffs of Moher, we headed to Galway, a vibrant and colourful city that exudes charm. The free time to explore the narrow streets of the old town, full of cozy pubs, craft shops and street artists, was perfectly balanced with the explanations of the guide, who suggested the best places to visit and the typical dishes to taste.
In summary, a perfect excursion, made even more special by the guide who, with his sympathy and competence, has transformed a simple day into a unique experience. I recommend it to anyone who wants to immerse themselves in the magic of Ireland!

I took the Wild Atlantic tour from Dublin, making stops at Cliffs of Moher & Galway. My tour guides, Dave, and bus driver Sarah, were very resourceful & a pleasure to travel with. I Iearned so much about Irish history, important landmarks, restaurants & shops. As a solo female traveller visiting Ireland for the first time, I felt very safe during the entire experience & found that the instructions to get back to the bus, find public washrooms, and avoid common travel pitfalls were very well detailed out by Dave. 5/5 star for the tour.
I would recommend (if travelling in peak summer or early fall time period) to wear layers (tank top with a jacket on top) instead of 1 warm sweater). This is because by the time I finished with Galway, it got very hot. Secondly, be punctual!! The tour guides pride themselves in efficiency + completing their tour on time. Get coffee & snacks before you board the bus from Dublin. I think the 10 min break in the morning was not enough to use the bathroom AND get coffee/refreshments, due to the long line-ups at the ladies room. On a more general note, the Cliffs were very foggy during the 2 hour stop of my day tour with Wild Rover (even though I had checked the weather well in advance, I've learned that the Irish weather can be unpredictable at certain times of the day). So for next time, I would definetly stay closer to the Cliffs so I can spend more time there. Also Galway is such a vibrant yet cozy city, that it deserves more than 2 hours to be fully discovered. But this tour gave me a beautiful glimpse of it. As Dave had mentioned, this tour serves as a tasting platter of a 5-star restaurant. I know I'll be coming back for the full course meal in the future 😉

We went on the day trip with the team of Tour guide Maurice and driver Podge who delivered on the great reviews. Podge drove is safely through roads I wouldn‘t have wanted to drive with a car let alone a bus and kept the estimated driving times - great job.
Maurice was a fun tourguide with loads of interesting tipps and infos about the sights along the road and at the stopps as well as anecdotes for practically everyone on the bus no matter where they were from. Fascinating talent to an introvert like me *lol*
All in all would fully recommend as the sights are great, the hours on the bus seem not too long with a mix of commentary, talks and local music as well as quiet time.
It‘s a great way to see a lot of Ireland in a day.

The views of the Cliffs were amazing. Sarah was a fantastic driver… even in a brand new coach she had never driven before. David was very knowledgeable about Irish history and kept us entertained with his stories and song. He was also very helpful with places to hear live Irish music and places to visit for those who were staying longer in Ireland.
Would highly recommend this tour company.

Could this be a one way option with drop off in Galway. Also can you bring a backpack that would fit in the back of the car.
Written 28 January 2023
You can do a one way drop off in Galway, you just need to let them know ahead of time. The bus has space overhead to store backpacks and also at your feet. Lots of people had backpacks/bags on board!
