Overview

Explore the countryside on Dublin’s doorstep with this double-decker bus tour to Glendalough and Powerscourt Gardens. Skip the hassle of a rental car and take in the scenery during the drive south to the village of Enniskerry. Stroll through Powerscourt Gardens, and then continue to Glendalough, a monastic settlement from the sixth century.

What to Expect

Meet your guide in the center of Dublin and board a double-decker bus to Wicklow for this Glendalough and Powerscourt Gardens Tour. (Hotel shuttle service is available on request).

Departing from Dublin city center, the tour passes the Docklands neighborhood before cruising along the banks of Dublin Bay in Sandymount. The tour continues inland, moving towards Wicklow Mountains and the village of Enniskerry, home to the Powerscourt Estate and Gardens.

The tour includes a stop at Powerscourt with time to explore the gardens, including formal Italian and Japanese gardens.

The next stop is Glendalough, a monastic settlement founded by St. Kevin in the sixth century. A one-hour visit includes time to wander independently and walk along Glendalough’s scenic wooded trails.

The bus returns you to Dublin. For extra value, passengers can access one free loop on the hop-on hop-off city tour on the same day as this Glendalough tour.

Don't miss it!

So happy we did this tour. It is amazing and this area is an important part of Ireland's history. It was a windy day and we enjoyed a cup of tea above the Glendalough area. Beautiful! Words can not express the beauty.

Glendalough tour

I felt that we were rushed here and there as the company strove to put in too much visits in one trip. There was the Glendalough leg, the powerscourt leg and then onto the hop on hop off tour around Dublin. Time management appeared to...More
