    Giggles at the New Inn
We went to the New Inn for a Ghost Hunt, we all met up at 7 and there was a board saying what rooms and area's we would be going too. We went in to a cellar which was a complete pit and dangerous, we went to a single bedroom which we all had to crammed in too and then in to an empty room at the front that used to be a coffee shop. We did not go in to the rooms they said we would. We payed £35 pound for a tour that started at 7 and said 2am on the ticket. We got kicked out by the Land lord who was very rude at 12.20, we went to find the people that were doing the tour and they were all sat with their coats on waiting to go. The New Inn is a complete dump and its a shame, such an historic building and its being ran in to the ground

Excellent tour for Ghost believers and skeptics (STAY AT THE NEW INN it makes it more fun)
Excellent tour. We began by going over our views of an reaction to paranormal events. Had an excellent time exploring the history, architecture and innards of the New Inn. The confusing part was that some sites claim that the Oak Suite is the most haunted room and others don't. This tour is a must for anyone interested in history AND/OR ghosts (the real kind, not Scooby Doo kind). We appreciated Becky's approach to ghost hunting because she approached it as a science not sensationalism. If our time in the area was longer, I would have also booked the walking tour.

Great tour, very knowledgeable guide. Really enjoyed the tour and would definitely recommend it for locals and tourists. Guide was very engaging and articulate, and the evening was full of good-humoured banter - well worth the money.

The historical parts of the tour accompanied by photographs were very interesting but I was not drawn in by the Guide's storytelling. It lacked substance and credibility. The decision to run a tour into the late evening (11.10 finish) was questionable as the city centre at that time of night is not a pleasant place to be and I felt nervous. The decision to take the tour to a secluded corner of the Cathedral grounds where a homeless person was just bedding down was insensitive and that part should have been missed out. The visit to the shop was very interesting and the shop owner was very engaging. The Guides energy and enthusiasm for the subject could not be faulted. It was an interesting experience overall but don't expect to be converted if you are a non believer!

Hi Madeleine Thank you for your review. I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy the tour. Apologies about the homeless person, this is not a place that is used by homeless people to sleep, in the 5 years doing the tour, it is the first time we have experienced this, so I do apologise. We have also only just started adding Cauldron Creations to the tour, we were in there a bit too long, for that I also apologise. We do usually finish the tour at 10.30pm, as it does state when you book that the tour is two & a half hours long. My customers safety is paramount, I try to keep clear of late night crowds, they’re usually on Eastgate Street at that time of night. I do try & move us along when someone approaches as quickly as possible. I also never go out to try to convert a sceptic. I know this is a near impossible job, as they have always told me, that unless a ghost walks right up to them to shake their hand, they will never believe in ghosts. I just want I make people think. If you hear things, double check what it could be, as 90% of Hauntings actually have a plausible explanation, it’s the 10% that doesn’t. If you could also please let me know how you think I could make the stories more credible & with more substance I would appreciate it. Again, thank you for your review, I will take this all on board.

I've lived in Gloucester for a while and there was lots of info I didn't know. The best thing was the personal ghost hunting experiences of the guide and walking one by one down the medieval alleyway. I highly recommend this experience and want to say thank you to the guide for being funny, friendly and professional throughout the whole experience.

Just terrific! We were all entertained and engrossed for the whole walk (party of two adults and two children). Perfect for those interested in history and supernatural goings on. Lots of interesting stories and facts, enhanced by good use of technology to show photos and clips. Gloucester's past is so interesting...more should be made of it in its present and to grow its future. Ghosts and Giggles - thank you for a great Saturday night!

Very informative and good fun, some interesting facts and some spiritual activity. Best tour I’ve done mostly due to the guide and her love of what she does.

If you want to learn a bit about Gloucester, delve into the history and see another side to what happened I’d highly recommend it.

My friends and I did the guided tour with Becki, who was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and the spooky stories linked to the local buildings. Becki pointed out all sorts of interesting places, architecture and local landmarks which we would never have spotted otherwise. There were plenty of ghost stories and it wasn't a gimmicky ghost tour, great for anyone keen on the paranormal or simply wanting to find out more about the history of the area. It was a perfect way to explore Gloucester, well worth the money and would definitely recommend. Thanks G&G👻

A lovely enthusiastic hostess shared stories, truths and myths with us. We walked for 2hrs so wear good shoes .
It's well worth doing this as we will now see things not noticed before, so thankyou.
We had time for questions and nothing was to much trouble. Such a passionate hostess, great to spend some time in her company.
THANKYOU 😁
