- MorelliA70 contributionsgreat evening @ manchesterit was a very pleasant evening, and we enjoyed the knowledge and expertise about Manchester with our guide Jutta we had a great time with her and would recommend this tour, thanks Jutta❤️Written 5 October 2024
- yellabena0 contributionsGreat Private Manchester History Walk with JuttaThis was a 3 hours Get to know Manchester private tour with Jutta, on my first full day. It was great. I wanted to learn some history and see something of Roman times to Industrial Revolution, architecture and music scene over time and now. Jutta is amazingly well informed about all these things and much more. The pace was perfect for me, although some might want a slower pace and she was happy to let me choose the pace and distance.. Jutta was willing to sit for a rest if I wanted that. The tour was like having a smart local friend in town. A great experience for me.Written 29 September 2024
- Derek H0 contributionsManchester walkingDarren was a fantastic guide with lots of wonderful stories about Manchester’s history. I especially enjoyed the sit down for a beer and was introduced to a new favorite from Taack breweryWritten 6 September 2024
- X2047HBjeremyr0 contributionsManchester Music Scene with DarrenThis is an unforgettable experience. Darren is personable, knowledgeable and tremendous company. We saw so much and learned so much taking in the famous and not so famous sites, interspersed with personal stories and reminiscences. We walked for miles but the time just rushed by and left us thirsting for more. If you have time to spare and an interest in the Manchester music scene, then you miss this tour at your peril!Written 23 August 2024
- seansS6206VF0 contributionsHomework NeededI am afraid this tour was very poor . The guide was a very pleasant man but he lacked any in-depth knowledge of the city which we know is rich in history and culture . We abandoned the tour after about 45 minutes after the stop at the Cathedral - the guide’s lack of knowledge of this , one of Manchester’s most historic sites confirming our misgivings .Written 18 August 2024
- paulgN9429HX0 contributionsExtremely professional and entertainingRoy is a wonderful guide. He gave us a great picture of the history and culture of the city. He tailored the tour to our interests and we enjoyed a nice time in an ancient pub. Would take a tour with him again any time.Written 26 July 2024

- Z1844SHrafaelf0 contributionsAwesome!!!Darren was amazing. Awesome insight into the amazing Manchester music scene and was so cool to just hang out with and chat and hang with. I look forward to seeing him again in the future and doing more tours.Written 30 June 2024
- Tour2638070 contributionsManchester Music WalkJutta was a tremendous host and navigator on a rainy Manchester day. She made our day by hitting all the amazing Manchester spots we had asked for and especially the Salford Lads Club, where we got a terrific history and tour. My family was thrilled. I was thrilled. It made my once teenage heart swell with the completion of pilgramage long overdue. Jutta was thoughtful and full of of historical wisdom as we trekked about. My only critique is that it truly isn’t long enough for the distances that need to be covered. Highly recommended.Written 7 June 2024
- Stacie B0 contributionsAn Absolute Highlight of Our Trip!My husband and I were so excited about the Manchester Music Scene tour - but I couldn’t possibly have imagined how beyond incredible this tour was last week! Our guide, Darren, was a Manchester native and knew the city and its history like the back of his hand! My husband and I love all the great Manchester bands from the 80s and 90s, and Darren was the perfect person for us to connect with! Even prior to our visit (I’d shared with him upon booking the tour that this was a surprise trip to England for my husband, and that we’re celebrating our first wedding anniversary), Darren reached out personally to understand our interests, our taste in music, and even what we like to drink so he could plan a couple of pub visits on our tour. Darren took us to all the places we wanted to see, and included several surprises too (special locations in the city - the warehouse where Joy Division filmed their video for “Love Will Tear Us Apart”, the first place The Stone Roses ever played, Noel Gallagher’s first flat in Manchester, and so much more!). We couldn’t have asked for a better tour or better guide! By the day’s end, we felt like old friends who spent a crazy and cool day together. 10/10 - especially if you like the same kind of music as we do, ask for Darren!!Written 16 April 2024
- Deborah M0 contributionsWomens rights meets Manchester‘s musicDarren gave us a lovley tour with many insiders. He is funny and interested in his audience and wants to provide the best possible tour for non-locals.Written 20 March 2024
- johanneskR4089PE0 contributionsInsightful and entertainingI had a very lovely experience with Jutta as my local guide through musical Manchester. She shared her profound historical knowledge and many interesting insights about living in the UK. I very much enjoyed our conversations and the sights she brought me to. Full recommendation!Written 11 March 2024
- tywinl20240 contributionsKnowledgeable, patience, fun, i just want to end this by thanking you Darren for a great experience, thank you .To start with i just want to express how incredibly patient Darren was with my father and me, we had decided with Darren to meet up at a certain location, but because my father and me basically got lost on the tram system we ended up meeting up at a different location to meet up and Darren was nothing but understanding and warm about the whole situation. Now to the actual guide, not for one second did this feel like a tour, and I mean this in the best possible way, it felt like going through the city with a friend rather than a tour guide. Having said that. his knowledge of this place was immense, he was with us for almost 4 hours and not for one second was there a pause, so many things he told us about. I have been a Manchester United fan for a long time, but this tour gave me a new rejuvinated passion not only for my club but for this beautiful city.Written 17 January 2024

1st time in Manchester and was wondering around the Arndale Shopping centre, when we discovered some smaller markets, and these were lovely, we then decided to venture a little further and found Albert Market , and wow was it worth the walk, Fabulous atmosphere, more Christmas stall/huts than we have ever seen at any Christmas market, all very well presented, with everything from food, sweets, hot chocolate, mulled wine, beer, trinkets, ornaments, the list is endless. I can highly recommend the trip.
