- 47aubreyt0 contributionsFabulous ExperienceDarren was a fantastic guide! He really went above and beyond to ensure we understood the history and significance of every place we went. He also made sure we had the best opportunities for photos! Incredible views, and top notch service!Written 20 March 2025
- Colette O0 contributionsAbsolutely Awesome Tour! What an awesome day we had on this well-planned, beautiful, interesting, and fun tour! James was the perfect guide; he wove together history, legend, and fun facts, including a well-orchestrated music selection that fit the tour perfectly! He took the guesswork out of visiting a new place by providing tips and suggestions at each stop. We were immersed - yet not drowning - in the story, culture, and people of Wales, Chester, and Manchester. The sites we visited were a marvelously selected sampling that made for a delightful and diverse day. Mike was a pleasant, safe driver, too; we could relax and see the sights without worry as he navigated the roads for us. Additional kudos for charging ports at each seat, a fried-and-true visit timetable, and willingness to answer questions above-and-beyond. We would definitely recommend this Rabbie’s Tour to those visiting the area!Written 11 March 2025
- Climber419190465720 contributionsAMAZING... except ChesterMy wife traveled as a solo female and she loved every second of it! Stunning views, knowledgeable guides, the works. Super punctual pickup in a safe and easy to access area. The only thing she mentioned was perhaps spending less time in Chester and more time in Wales per se. Other than that, all good!Written 5 March 2025

- vanessaandradeb0 contributionsA Lovely DayRabbies luxury minibus 🚐 tour of Conway Castle 🏰 and Chester Cathedral. A thoroughly unique, bespoke, enjoyable fun day out. The mini bus was spacious, comfy, and immaculately clean. Robert, the driver, was very professional, caring, and extremely helpful. He provided us with an excellent commentary on the History, myths and legends of the places we were visiting and was extremely knowledgeable throughout. The tour was run like clockwork. The day started with a trip round Conway castle and a delicious breakfast in Conway. We got to stop off and visit various Beaty spots along the way which were breathtaking. These included a drive over both Menai straight bridges and stopping off in Anglesey at a viewing point to take in the Snowdonian mountains. A drive up and over the Snowdonia pass and stopping off at another viewing point looking out over the Snowdonian Valley, including Lakes, and Slate Quarry. Followed by Afternoon lunch in Betws y Coed. The final stop of the day was Chester Cathedral. A truly magnificent building which is steeped in history. Finally returning back to Manchester at around 7pm. A truly wonderful and fun filled day out. We travelled 🧳 on Saturday 11th January 2025. The weather in Manchester was -5 degrees. The Snowdonia Mountains were covered in snow and it was a truly wonderful experience. A beautiful dry, and frosty winters day. I strongly recommend this tour with Rabbies Minibus Tours. A fabulous and fun filled experience. A throughly good day out. Excellent value for Money. 2 very happy customers. Thank you Rabbie, and Thank You Robert the driver. Brilliant Service. 🙏Written 12 January 2025

- Sanchita S0 contributionsI had an exceptional experience with Rabbie's Manchester tour, led by the knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide Clive.I recently took a fantastic tour with Rabbie's, exploring Manchester with my parents who were visiting from India. Clive, our driver and guide, was exceptional – his knowledge and enthusiasm made the tour truly unforgettable. If you want to see Conwy Castle , Snowdonia NP and Chester City along with beautiful on road sights and learn about the area in just one day, I highly recommend this tour.Written 14 December 2024
- WilliamB22580 contributionsExploring the Enchanting Lake District with Rabbie’s ToursVisiting the Lake District had been on travel bucket list for a while, and Rabbie’s three-day tour provided the perfect way to explore this charming and picturesque region. Despite November’s unpredictable weather, I was confident in Rabbie’s professional driver-guides, and our trip turned out to be blessed with great weather and a fantastic guide, Clive. We stayed in Keswick, which served as an excellent base for our daily adventures. I opted for the B&B accommodation and was delighted with Rabbie’s choice—a cozy local house with a delicious breakfast each morning. While I typically gravitate toward Premier Inns, staying in a traditional home added to the authenticity of the experience. The Lake District offered an incredible variety of sights, from breathtaking natural beauty to literary landmarks. Our days were filled with scenic hikes to waterfalls, serene lakeside strolls, and even a cruise on Windermere. Clive’s commentary was both insightful and engaging, offering a mix of historical context, natural highlights, and even local music that added to the atmosphere. In addition to the stunning landscapes, we visited cultural landmarks associated with William Wordsworth, Beatrix Potter, and John Ruskin, which perfectly complemented the region’s quaint villages and idyllic charm. Clive truly made the trip exceptional. His expert driving through narrow, winding roads and over mountain passes instilled a sense of safety and ease. He also provided thoughtful recommendations for how to spend our free time, enhancing the overall experience. This was my first three-day tour with Rabbie’s, and based on my satisfaction and enjoyment, it certainly won’t be my last. The Lake District’s unparalleled beauty, combined with Rabbie’s excellent planning and Clive’s expertise, made this a trip to remember.Written 3 December 2024

- angelvC6295XR0 contributionsExplore to your heart's content! The tour with Darren was filled with his shining personality, humor, amazing food stops, photo opportunities, and self exploration. We saw the most beautiful places in England and Northern Wales. We learned so much about the culture and language on the way there through his stories. Darren entertained us the whole ride, played music, and we were able to bring our food on the ride from different stops. My favorite part was the ability to independently explore each area for about 45 minutes each to an hour. He would share the go to spots to explore in each city. It was lovely to choose which areas and roam the city as a couple. There were so many local artisan shops to buy unique gifts from. Overall it was such a fun and relaxing day! It was one of our favorite tours the views were just unbelievable.. 😍Written 26 October 2024
- 939daynad0 contributionsEnjoy the beauty of Wales and so much more!My son and I were in Manchester for a work/personal trip, and we decided to take this trip. It was extraordinary. The scenery, the stops, the information from our driver/guide: all of it was simply incredible. This was a day well spent, and I would encourage anyone to take the day and enjoy this trip. You won't regret it.Written 13 October 2024

- arielr9390 contributionsSooo much to see! A few helpful tips includedThree impressive locations in one day! I saw so much that I’ll be processing my photos for days. Wales is beautiful, even in the pouring rain. Things I wish I’d known: There are stretches of as many as three hours between bathroom breaks. You’d better be able to hold it because options are few and far between. The mini bus has double seats and single seats. The heaters blow full blast under the single seats. 💺 🥵If you’re menopausal - stick with the much cooler double seat side. If you’re perpetually cold, then the single seats will warm you right up. All of these locations, including the Conwy castle, are essentially outdoors so bring your ☂️🧣 or other gear you need for being exposed to the wind/rain. But you can also leave stuff on the bus throughout the day if the rain dries up.Written 27 September 2024

The day trip to the Lake District with Rabbies was absolutely fantastic! The tour covered all the items listed on the itinerary with ample time for exploring. Our amazing guide, Darren, was full of knowledge of the local area and took the time to educate us on not only the history of the district and the places where we stopped, but the history of Manchester (our departure point), the local wildlife, and the local musicians of the area.
Unfortunately, we experienced some less than desirable weather on the day, but nevertheless, Darren ensured we all still had a great time. He even organised a rainbow for us, because he's a nice guy! 😂
Definitely also recommend the optional additional boat trip on Lake Windermere. Even in the most miserable weather it was amazing to be on the lake itself.
100% recommend this Rabbies tour - excellent value for money and a great day out with a company that prides itself on high quality customer service!!

Rabbie's tour to Windermere and the Lakes District was a wonderful experience. The tour was punctual and on a small group ~11 people. The tour guide provided us with ample and interesting commentary on each of the places we visited, such as Beatrix Potter, William Wordsworth, Uhh Taylor Swift song about grassmere, etc. In addition, during the entire tour the music was kept on theme: Christmas songs, music from Manchester bands, and the aforementioned Taylor Swift reference. Finally, the driver took care of the passengers warning about windy roads and offered some solutions, also Rabbies has an excellent policy regarding forgotten items in the coach.

This was a great tour of a beautiful area. Chris was our guide and he was awesome, very informative and entertaining. He took us to three places, each distinctly different from the other. There was a boat ride on the Windermere which was wonderful, given we had a beautiful sunny day with blue skies (everyone says that is most unusual for this area this time of year). I highly recommend this tour, and, I was going to go to Chester by myself but when I learned that Rabbie does a day tour there, decided to do that instead.

A very amazing and interesting tour of the beautiful Lake District from Manchester.
The duration of the tour was about 9 hours.
This tour was an ideal way to see such greenery and great landscape along the way to Lake District. The tour takes us to visit the medieval village of Hawkshead where we had a light lunch. As we move on, we travel through incredible Landale Valleys and it's really beautiful, indeed a breathtaking scenery of the landscape.
A very different environment from the busy city life. The whole journey was comfortable, smooth and a joy as the weather was great, though a bit cold as we get off the bus to take photographs. As we reached the Lake District, we had a cruise ride which is really enjoyable across the Lake and get to see the cozy surrounding areas. The Tour Guide was very experienced and knowledgeable. She was very accommodating and helpful, giving us sufficient time to move around to see the surrounding places.
All in all, the entire journey was excellent with a good insight of the English Villages as we pass by along the way to the Lake District.

I had no idea of Beatrix Potter’s conservation efforts and the impact of those efforts. The Lake District is available today because of her love for the area. The Lake District was as beautiful as its reputation. The tour took us to some of the most picturesque spots I've ever seen. Thank you, Beatrix.
Our tour driver, Tom, played a significant role in making this trip memorable. He was polite, and his in-depth knowledge of the area enhanced the experience. The stories were fun.
Hawkshead is famous for its connection with Beatrix Potter. The picturesque village provided multiple lunch and shopping options.
Overall, this Lake District coach tour exceeded my expectations.
Many UK public toilets require entrance from 20p-50p. I recommend bringing a handful of coins.

An amazing experience with the Rabbies tours. I booked the Lake District day tour with family and everyone enjoyed the boat ride in the Windermere lake, chocolate factory at Hawkshead and peace and quite of Grasmere. Darren our guide was fantastic, he shared all the back stories of the places we visited. He also added an additional stop I.e Kirkstone pass which was not part of itinerary .
The tour was perfectly timed and on schedule.
Overall a worth the money spent 👍.

Beautiful tour of the very beautiful Lake District. I think Rabbie’s tours are very good for going around the best sights of any place when you have limited time. Our tour guide was Darren a jovial fellow who besides giving a lot of information put up the most appropriate music along different parts of the journey.

We didn't have enough time to take pictures because the driver was in a rush to finish the tour and go home.
The tour was supposed to finish at 7.30pm but we got back to Manchester Piccadilly station half an hour earlier than expected even though there was a lot of traffic due to the football match on 14 August. I think that Rabbie's tour time details need to be revised so that participants have the correct information.

Hi,
We're sorry you didn't get what you were expecting from the tour.
It's important to remember the return time is approximate and this is to allow for situations out of our control such as delays and traffic. The tour ran as expected and your driver didn't cut any of the stops short. It also seems like this time you had a fairly good run through the day and we really hope that you were able to enjoy all the time you had in the towns through the Lake District!
Thanks,
Jo

Fantastic tour, the Lake District is absolutely stunning and was a welcome change from the business of the city. Visiting with a small group allows access to less crowded places, and we were able to truly enjoy each stop.
Clive was a great guide, knowledgeable and friendly. He played music related to the area, which was a very nice touch.
The coach was comfortable and silent, and its big windows were perfect to admire the beautiful landscapes along the way.
100% would recommend!

The best part of the tour was our guide/driver, Clive. He presented just the right amount of information humor, and guidance. The trip was just the right length, giving us a full day excursion to the Lake District, but not so much that we were completely spent at the end. I strongly recommend this tour and the driver, Clive.
