Loire Valley Day Trip with Paris City Vision
Mar 2020 • Couples
While in Paris we took the 12 hour Loire Valley Castle day trip with Paris City Vision. Francis was our driver and guide in a comfortable van with 4 others. Francis was knowledgeable and friendly and spoke multiple languages, which was helpful, as we had two from Brazil in our group.

It was pouring rain for much of the 3 hour drive and that put a bit of a damper on the day. But the castles were beautiful and full of history. You don’t have much time in each one, but it was interesting to see each one. Francis gave us a history lesson in the van, then sent us off at each location with a headset to guide our tour. We went to Ambroise, Chenonceau and Chambord.

We had lunch in the town of Chenonceaux, which was very cute and they made me a tasty vegetarian meal, while everyone else opted for the beef. Seems that everyone enjoyed it, although the wine wasn’t great. Better to order off a menu, but we were in a bit of a hurry for that.

I do recommend this tour, the chateaus were amazing! Hope you can go in better weather.

The people in this group melded and together we had a fun, learning experience. The meal was good while conservation was lively. The tour guide was superb: informative, entertaining, kind and caring. Finally, each castle was a thrill to see.

Loire Valley - 6 person group - private mini van
I want to begin by saying how wonderful our tour guide Pamela was all the day. She was warm and friendly, engaging and man did she know her stuff. She gave us history along the way and at each stop we visited. She let us sleep when we wanted (the tour begins at 6:30am) and we laughed and chatted during the remaining drive. The tour was pricey for a group of six, but it included a beautiful lunch, private van, all admission and a great driver/guide for 12 hours. Totally worth it. If you’re on the fence - do it, but be sure and request Pamela. She made the experience 100% worth it. The Chateaus are extremely beautiful and highly recommend as well.

Amazing Chateaux
Nov 2019 • Friends
Started out with 'very early' pickup. This was very nice as we didnt want to hassle with metro sooooo early. Celine was our guide and she was wonderful. She was so experienced and we felt very comfortable with her. Her knowledge of the history of Paris area and the Loire Valley was amazing. Almost as if she lived it. We had rain almost all day but it didnt dampen the experience. Ask for Celine and you will enjoy your tour immensely. Highly recommend!

Dear Horsemules, Thank you for your review ! We are so happy to read that everything was fine despite the early departure. Céline is an incredible guide and we are glad to know you enjoyed your day. Unfortunately we cannot do anything about the weather, but the castles are so breathtaking that we usually forget this little downside. We hope to welcome you again soon ! Best Regards, Alexia

Picked up out in front of our Airbnb and ferried to each of the three castles. We saw Chambord, then Amboise, then Chenonceau, which turned out to be perfect because I liked each more than the last. I'm super happy with how easy a day trip this was from Paris.

Dear katiehotchkiss, Thank you so much for your comment ! Luckily, the weather has been nice recently ! Which means that you benefited from the best conditions to visit the castles : no crowd, beautiful sun, small group. We are very happy to know that the day met your expectations ! Awesome Guides
Nov 2018 • Friends
Our guides arrived right on time in a beautiful mercedes van. Ziggy and Andres, very educated and fun. We played a game in the van which was guite fun and a little hard. The Amboise Chateau was beautiful and the town surrounding it beautiful. Our first stop just stunning, there we learned everything to know about making winethe tour guide there was reaaly excellent and fun. And not to mention the wine was outstanding bought a few also! Cant forget Lillie the 10 yr Mastiff who needed many belly rubs. We had an amazing lunch there the food was unforgettable! The only thing I will say is wear climbing shoes the walk up to the vineyard is a little tough Andre was such a hero and helped up and down! The trip is worth 100 stars and Ziggy and Andres 1000 stars!

HIghly recommend
Dec 2017 • Friends
We went on this tour in Dec and are so glad we went with this company. Our group was small, only 5 adults, so it felt almost like a private tour. Our guide (unfortunately I can't remember her name) was friendly, knowledgeable and spoke great English. There was a couple on the tour from Brazil so she also did everything in Portuguese. She was great at giving us the history and backstories about every place we went and gave very clear instructions about where to go, what time to be back at the van, etc. She made sure we had a great time and had more than enough time to see each castle. The highlight for me was Chateau Chenonceau, but all three were amazing. Highly highly recommend.

Excellent tour
Booked a small group minivan tour - there were three of us and no one else booked so it was private. Tour guide was excellent, castles were fantastic. Lunch that was included was phenomenal. This tour far surpassed my expectations, I would book again in a heartbeat.
