Overview
Venture below the avenues and Metro tunnels of Paris and into the Catacombs, whose population of skeletons far outnumbers the living city above. This group tour includes Skip-the-Line Entry and lets you access parts of the Catacombs that are off-limits to individual visitors, so you get more out of your experience. Exclusive sights include the Sacellum Crypt, where bones were blessed before beginning their rest in the tunnels.
Highlights
  • Learn more about the popular Catacombs in Paris on a guided tour
  • Bypass lines often in excess of two hours with a skip-the-line pass
  • Explore the bone-lined tunnels in a small group limited to 19 people
  • A guide brings the history of the subterranean labyrinth to life
What to Expect
The tour begins near the Catacombs at a time of your choice. After greeting your guide, you’ll sail past long lines with your skip-the-line pass and descend to macabre tunnels lined with human skeletons. As you explore the dimly lit labyrinth, your guide reveals historical information crucial to understanding the Catacombs. Discover the reason residents were buried beneath the city and relish the morbid atmosphere of this unusual Paris attraction. The tour concludes outside of the Catacombs.

The tour was fantastic, as were the Catacombs! Our guide was friendly and informative (a self-proclaimed cataphile), giving us such great historical information on the Catacombs! We visited at 2pm on Sunday 13th and skipped a 3 hour queue with this ticket! I genuinely do...More

We thoroughly enjoyed the Catacombs and our guide Victoire. The skip the line portion was essential as there was a good-sized group waiting to purchase tickets. (They keep a very strict limit on the number allowed in the Catacombs at one time.) We did feel,...More

There are two or three places that the tour guide has access to that the primary line of visitors don't have access to. It is worth it.

I am not particularly tall, so I had no problem in the catacombs. I agree with the other answer, there were a few spots where the ceiling was low, but only tall people had to duck. the walkways are wide enough for two or... More
