About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- soozywoo19560 contributionsLovely evening BEWARE THE TAXIS OUTSIDEWe went for the meal and show evening option. Food and service absolutely first class and the show was very good and entertaining. A memorable evening. We are staying in the Arc de Triomphe area and a taxi in the pouring rain and heavy traffic on the way there. cost us 13 Euros - driver really pleasant. It took about 30 mins. We left the show at 10.30 the there was a load of taxis outside - the security on the door told us they were ridiculously expensive and to go to the taxi rank over the road which we did. Very light in traffic and took about 8 -10 minutes., He charged us 67 Euros apparently because it's 'night time' we were in by 11pm!! We remonstrated but to no avail. ABSOLUTELY FUMING - be warned. Really tainted a lovely evening.Written 8 October 2024
- G3768DDsoniab0 contributionsNot really with the visitThe show was average especially the standard of the dancers. If it's a bucket list thing you may wish to go but wasn't the risqué show that is use to be! I have seen better shows and quality dancers !Written 6 October 2024
- MaxineW1210 contributionsGreat show but crammed inMy husband and i went to the 9.00pm show and booked the table and champagne option (no dinner). We were sat with 2 other couples on a small table not big enough for 4 so was uncomfortable. We did have a good view of the show and enjoyed it but the seating arrangements spoiled it a bit.Written 28 September 2024
- Raukey0 contributionsParis Moulin RougeIf it’s on your bucket list then go. If you are on a budget trip maybe use your funds elsewhere. We enjoyed the meal but we were squeezed in a table of 8. Some of the dancing was very good and some average. Some spectacular moments. Do go if you have always associated a Paris event with Moulin Rouge.Written 28 September 2024
- benc00070 contributionsBest Show in Paris a Must SeeIf you are visiting Paris you have to go see this show. It is absolutely amazing and beautiful. We’d booked the VIP tickets which gave us a queue jump straight into the venue to a reserved table where we were served champagne. As part of the package we got a nice goodie bag. When our table was ready we were personally shown to our table where there was a fresh bottle of champagne waiting. You will also get Evian mineral water and soft drinks included with this package. We had good seats at the top. Service was brilliant. You’re not allowed to take pictures or videos. Truly an amazing performance. We watched the 11:30pm show which finished at 1pm. I would say when you leave the venue after the show and in need of a taxi, be warned all the taxi drivers which have their green lights on will rip you off. To give you an idea we paid €29 on the way to the venue which was a 30 minute drive on Uber. The taxi outside the venue charged us €80 for the same journey back. All the taxi drivers work together and they all keep together so don’t try and play them off. What I would suggest is all the bars are open to 2am, walk down the road to a bar away from the venue and have a drink to kill time then call a Uber and it will be a lot cheaper. Seriously stay away from the local taxi drivers which have their green lights on it’s all dodgy and cash only. The taxis are not governed after mid night and they can charge what they want.Written 27 September 2024
- teril7930 contributionsCrammed but entertainingThe show and performers were wonderful! We were a bit crammed in though and it was hard to move once you got seated. But still a great experience j would recommend.Written 26 September 2024
- XSki0070 contributionsCabaret ShowThis was truly an amazing show. We did not come for dinner. We came to the show at 8, an hour early, and were seated up front. There was a band and several singers providing entertainment to the diners who arrived at 7. It seems that most came for the dinner as well. The cabaret was 90 minutes of fun, some frontal nudity and amazing costumes. Not to be missed.Written 23 September 2024
- johnbC1650BV0 contributionsAbsolutely Brilliant Night OutThis was such a great night out. Just a wonderful venue, great food and a brilliant show. You honestly cannot take your eyes off the show. The costumes are just amazing. Didn't have a clue what was going on most of the time, but it was a real spectacle. Didn't want it to end and will definitely go backWritten 23 September 2024
- lar19650 contributionsCrammed in like SardinesWe were crammed in like sardines. Table was supposed to fit six. Our party of four joined an extremely selfish couple, who hogged most of the limited space we had. They totally obstructed our view, where we had to lay our head on the table in order to see. This made for a very unpleasant experience, which spoiled the show.Written 21 September 2024
- Keith M0 contributionsBecause we CAN CAN CANWe booked the VIP experience and were treated like royalty. Led to a holding area with bubbles by the gift shop and finally up into the tented area with a perfect view of the stage. Staff were on hand to pour drinks and the show was magnificent!Written 19 September 2024
- lomaniwaihomestay0 contributionsMoulin Rouge disappointment.Had I known, we would never have gone. It should be a highlight but the way they pack you into Moulin Rouge is just a joke! We got seats on the second tier after the main floor at a table for 6, side onto the stage, as all the tables were. The couple at the front of the table were OK, the other 4 jostled to see past them so only caught glimpses of what was going on. Once seated, you couldn’t move at all & no room to take your legs to the side of the chair so had to sit with your neck in a funny position for two hours!?! For what they charge you to get into the show, they could at least make it comfortable & so you can at least see the stage!? Big disappointment, like I say, should be a highlight but just another French rip off.Written 17 September 2024
- O166BTsusann0 contributionsDon’t go!Don’t go! It wasn’t worth the money. It was cheesy and had no story line. It felt like something my 70-80 year old parents would have liked. We had the 3 course dinner and my husband’s stomach began hurting near the end of the show. So wouldn’t recommend the food either.Written 16 September 2024
- Ben H0 contributionsBreathtaking experienceSimply breathtaking experience. The costumes were amazing and so much energy throughout. So many champagne bottles being popped before the show which was a sight in itself The Can Can was amazing and traditional and a must do Only shame was no actually singing. All mimed but still a truly memorable experience Also we did tur 23.30 show which was late but plenty of transport outside to get you homeWritten 14 September 2024
- 59katerynal0 contributionsDisappointing Experience - Not Worth the HypeOur evening started with a 50-minute wait in a hot, dull room, which set the tone for the night. Once we were finally seated, it felt like we were packed in like sardines—crammed together with four other people at a tiny table, leaving no room to move or even breathe comfortably. As for the show, it was mediocre at best. The dancers lacked synchronization and seemed to forget to smile while on stage. As a former dancer, I found it incredibly disappointing that out of 60 performers, only two stood out as remotely professional. The one saving grace was the costumes, which were truly stunning. However, it was clear that the production and direction fell far short of expectations, leaving the impression that the whole affair was more about milking money out of tourists than delivering a quality performance. Overall, a very disappointing experience.Written 12 September 2024
- johnpro_120 contributionsTerrible , tacky and expensiveWe tried to book dinner and show but it was booked out so we ended up with just show at 11.30 pm. What a load of pure rubbish! Poor choreography , poor dancing ,no live band ( backing track and lip sync) how cheap can you get ??? Yet we paid over 300 euro just for this! We were packed in like sardines, God knows how we would have eaten a dinner! Tacky to the extreme ! Just look at the outside of the venue with the worn red carpet ! Well, it is the same on the inside!! Don’t waste your money but of course you will do because like most of the world you suffer from FOMO. But you will be disappointed, and you will have a restricted view and you will be practically sitting on top of the person bext to you . Lots of topless dancers who’s only asset are their boobs but there is a boring sameness about them all because they are hired for their chest and hip sizes etc and certainly not for dancing skills . Good luckWritten 11 September 2024

Amazing thrilling show! We had the dinner to start, arrived at 6:45 and seated at our table around 7:15. Our waiter was absolutely lovely! We didn’t realise the entree fish is not cooked and he replaced with a vegetarian option as I am pregnant. The food wasn’t amazing so would recommend spending the money on a nice dinner and then arrive for the show at 8:30. The shows starts at 9 and you have to arrive prior otherwise the doors will be shut.
You can take photos during dinner but once the show starts you must not take any photos.
It is a very tight squeeze in the theatre so don’t take too much with you.
You will be amazed by the costumes and dancing so close to you! Enjoy!!! We walked back to the hotel after the show as taxis charge so much from outside.

It was my birthday celebration last year and definitely a highlight of our Paris trip!
We booked the dinner and show option that started at 7pm. We were seated with several other people in a table but that did not bother us, the couple beside us were friendly but we did not talk that much, we were seated at the corner table giving us a good view of the front stage. While having dinner we were serenaded by a couple of singers and a band who performed both in English and French. I know this was not the Feerie show but I enjoyed this dinner entertainment so much as well. The dinner came as starter, main course, then dessert. It came with half a bottle of champagne to share per couple. The dinner tastes ok (not great) but presented very well. I've had better meals in other restaurants in Paris. But the champagne I had here was so good I keep on reminiscing about it. The servers are pretty quick but they get busy serving a lot of tables it is hard to call their attention sometimes.
Coming to the Feerie show after the dinner, I did not expect there is a hidden stage right beside me, it suddenly popped up when the show was about to start. The show was in French, while on queue by the reception they offered english translation booklets - but why read when you can just enjoy watching them sing and dance.
This is probably my first time watching a cabaret style show and I truly enjoyed it. Definitely recommend booking the dinner and show option for a fuller experience. (Of course when it is safe to do so).
I went last year in October 2019 (the option is giving me till November 2019 only).

I have to admit, I thought this thing would be a tourist trap and a waste of money, due to the movie. However, my wife wanted to go so I had no choice. 😊. I am sure glad we did, because the dancing, the choreography, the amazing outfits, and the great stunts made this show eye popping! We paid around $130 with champagne included, and it was worth that price.
Great show! It was like Disneyland for adults.

Overall it was really good however the guys looked as if they had been plucked from the audience and told to dance. They did their best but it was painful to watch at times. The singers did a lovely miming job. A bit like seeing Justin Bieber on tour. The ‘story’ got a bit bizarre as it was a walk through time in one segment but it was all over the place. I was so confused I lost the plot. The costumes went from wow to why? The acrobatics were amazing and were the highlight for us. Be warned live animals are part of the act which we didn’t know in advance. Can the girls doing the can can scream a bit as that would have made brilliant finale. In a nutshell - worth it but it is like prospecting for gold. A few nuggets and some needs re-thinking.

The show is tremendous fun. Expect lines but they are orderly and almost all seats are good seats. 11pm show starts queuing at 10:30 and takes about an hour until everyone is seated. You can pre-arrange a taxi for 45 euros which might be worth it since you'll be getting out closer to 2 AM

I have deliberately waited a month to write my review as I wanted to see how I felt after time!
The positives! It's a bucket list thing for me to see a show at the Moulin Rouge so from that perspective I am happy I did it and really enjoyed the overall experience. The acrobatic acts were excellent and I loved seeing the cancan. The costumes were spectacular for the most part and the overall effects of some dances were brilliant. The individual sitting and idea of being on the tables as you would've been years ago was great, mostly.....
The negatives! You are really packed in, back to back and right next door to your neighbour. We were a two and our table was for 6, luckily another couple only was sat with us or it would've been unbearable. My seat backed the stage so I had to work in unison with the man behind me to turn my chair so I could see, that's how tight it was. If there was an emergency it would be incredibly difficult to get out safely from many parts of the show. We did have a good view. Some acts were just weird, two flying singers, a woman wrestling a snake in a pool and and an ill advised Asia themed dance and set. The singers were lip syncing and that was so obvious, the dancing was good but some were not great. You just expect live singing and a bit more complex dancing.
Overall it was a good night but it was expensive and I would say there are better shows out there, it needs updating and given some more life and it needs to be genuinely live performed. I'm glad I went, I'd say definitely go and experience it but don't expect your socks to be blown off.

If you want covid then this is the place to go!
€250 to go to this show to be cramped in a theatre with 100’s of people. We were sat in the middle of our section with two others on our table. To the back of us were four others on either side. We couldn’t even rest back on our chair they were that close. Zero social distancing. There’s a reason why they don’t let you choose your seat as if you saw the seating plan before you went you wouldn’t go.
Ok show but not worth the risk of covid.

We couldn’t go due to France not allowing British tourists in the country and even though on the get your guide website said free cancellation up to 24 hours before. We were told no refund would be given which is false advertising. If it isn’t free cancellation this need to be removed from the website

TLDR: Your money is better spent elsewhere. The show could use some work. *Some spoilers below*
As a lover of the 2001 film, I was excited to see the origin of the Can-Can dance and Parisian entertainment. We were sadly left confused and baffled at the end of the night.
We were a group of 3 friends total who had purchased tickets online for the show + champagne weeks before. We arrived when they requested and waited in a long line to enter. We were finally escorted to a tiny table (6-top) in the back center, across from a couple with their teenage son. We were confused as we thought we would have our own table and could barely squeeze in between the other table that was crammed next to ours. When the waiter came over, one in our group swapped their champ for wine and the additional waitress that came over struggled to open the bottle, citing it was her first night on the job.
The show began and the elegant dancers emerged. The female dancers were all on point, but the male dancers were not as on point from the get go, and seemed like they could have used a few additional rehearsals.
The performers in between (roller bladers, acrobats, swimmer, dancers) were amazing and a true spectacle! However, the storyline overall was lacking and it felt outdated at times (I recall a weird jump from an Asian country to a 1940's jukebox). Could have dealt with less costume changes as well, but most were beautiful.
I know times are tough and they probably increased the ticket cost to stay open/pay staff accordingly, but I couldn't help but feel like we had wasted our money at times. And the Can-Can didn't even end the show... leaving two stars for the dancers and performers that delivered that night!
All in all, and without too much shade, you are better off spending that same money on a proper Cirque du Soleil show or elsewhere. Hope they can sharpen up the show for future iterations!

Everyone suggested we see Moulin Rouge on our 1st Paris trip. The show choreography was as dated as the costumes. Lip-syncing too? Please let the young dancers do a more new-age show with fresh young costumes, maybe some dazzling lighting and without snakes. And real spot lighting for the floating man vs. handheld flashlight. Come on guys it's 2020, it's only fair that the men should show as much skin as the women. The men had clothes from head to toe to wrist. Go to Vegas and see how it's done!

Will the play still be showing in the end of March/beginning of April? That when we are visiting and I would love to get tickets. Also is the play done in English or French? Thanks?
Written 7 January 2024
I agree with both previous answers. Check directly with the show people and regarding language, it has to do with music and dance.
Written 17 January 2024
Stupid question alert: presumably this show is in French.
Has anyone who doesn’t speak French seen it?
Is it still a positive experience?
Also, has anyone seen it in London and Paris and can explain the difference? (Presumably language is one difference!)
