- SebastianoD_120 contributionsSmall but mighty! Our guide was one of the founders and you could feel his passion. So much knowledge. Loved it! Can’t wait to try their chews making classes!!! Highly recommended if you like cheese. Don’t expect a huge museum, it is a couple of rooms super interesting and lots of fun facts!Written 2 February 2025
- johnhenrir0 contributionsFabulous cheese class, not to be missed in ParisThe staff did an incredible job guiding us through cheese making and cheese tasting. We learned a LOT about how to make fresh cheese, butter, and the 1,200 different varieties of French cheese. I would recommend this class HIGHLY to anyone who enjoys cheese or learning about new foods.Written 1 January 2025
- Gennypenny0 contributionsCute to learn about the importance of cheese in French cultureFun spot to learn a bit about cheeses and taste a few! I loved the interactive cheese making process board and tasting samples! My favourite part was doing the quiz what kind of cheese are you!Written 28 December 2024
- nuseja0 contributionsFailed to give refund after they cancelled tourThis is not a review of the walking tour we scheduled and paid for 2 months in advance as they cancelled the tour- by phone while we were in Paris- 2 days prior. No explanation and assured me my credit card would be refunded. We made other (non refundable) plans and they called again-oops we can now take you. I advised by phone and multiple emails we could not change our plans and to proceed with promised refund ($220 US). After weeks this did not happen and I was forced to file a credit dispute through my credit card. No response. This is unacceptable behavior from a business and customers should beware.Written 1 December 2024
- Wklstoywife0 contributionsSmall museum but wow…so nice, friendly staff and you get samples!I had remembered this while my husband and I were figuring out what to do today, so we decided to go….I just thought it was a do it yourself museum but when I got there it wasn’t but we lucked out and were there in time for the next group….um…reserve ahead, don’t be like me and apparently I did not read well at all. The man who greeted us was so nice and explained stuff to us and said he had room for us. I am not sure how big of a group they do and if there is a max. We were let in the waiting area and there was stuff to read about cheese and a “interactive” map of France. We had a nice time waiting for others and talking to people too. Our guide came and we started our tour. Very knowledgeable about cheese..(cheese is a food group…just my opinion). We learned a lot. In one area, there were cheeses under a cloche, oh man when he opened them….that gorgeous smell of cheese. Then he went and got samples of a few types of cheeses (4)…YUM! He also told us about each one. After that we were asked if there were any questions and allowed to look at information on the walls. I loved our time there, my husband did too and well of course we loved the tasting! Highly recommended.Written 27 November 2024
- K7299IYdavidt0 contributionsWorth the priceExcellent! Agathe led us and she was fabulous. Highly recommended. I did not know how intense and complex cheese can taste.Written 20 November 2024
- Sydney D0 contributionsWorth its weight in cheese! The Living Museum of Cheese was incredible! I saw this museum when I planned my trip to Paris in July, and knew we had to go. We paid €20 per person for a full guided tour in English. There were only four attendees on the tour, so it was personalized to our countries of origin and tastes. I can’t remember our tour guide’s name (he was Italian), but he was so excited to share the process of cheese making with us. He encouraged questions and interaction with the exhibits. The tasting was great, we got to try cow, sheep, and goat milk cheese with a variety of hardness and rinds. The shop had a huge variety of cheese you could take home, including the ones from the tasting. This was a great experience and I recommend it to anyone that has an hour to spare or wants to learn more about cheese!Written 7 November 2024
- helendS8590GI0 contributionsCheers for Cheese!Excellent excursion - it was expertly presented, informative and great value for cost. We would recommend the experience to anyone with an interest in cheese. Accessible location, friendly staff and well equipped premises.Written 7 November 2024
- Yel_ldn0 contributionsGreat introduction to cheese making with an experienced guide. Highly recommend. This is such an interesting and worthwhile activity if you like culinary experiences and interactive or creative pursuits. The instructor was very knowledgeable and gave a great introduction into the process of making cheese. We learned about cheese from all over France, the differences between hard and soft cheeses and flavour profiles, for example. Not only did we make cheese, but we also made butter, then we got to taste-test bread, wine and cheese. The location is clean and well-maintained; hygiene is not an issue. For the price, what is included and the instruction given, I would say the experience is good value for money. Moreover, the location is easy to find and can be reached by public transport. It's a very short walk from the closest bus stop and metro stop. When you're done with class you can browse the products on offer in the fromagerie and purchase with a discount (given to those who attend class). Note that there are a few hard to find cheeses in stock at the fromagerie, so if you're lucky to spot a unique cheese, buy it!Written 1 October 2024
- MacPrawn0 contributionsEnlightening and delicious workshop! What a beautiful, eye opening workshop! We sadly don’t know much about where our food comes from or is made anymore. It turns out making cheese is pretty simple, a work of love, and of course the result is highly dependent on your raw product. Granted the cheese we made was a very simple cheese, and we took shortcuts, but it does taste better when you make it yourself! And I appreciate much more the work and artistry that goes into traditional cheese making now. Plus, the short interlude making butter is not only welcome, but also SO delicious! Seriously, I highly recommend this workshop. I also made a visit to the new museum of cheese, and both visit completed each other very well! I’d recommend the museum first, get the history and a bit of theory, then this workshop to apply what you have learned. (And still learn more!)Written 26 September 2024
- SkyTripper170 contributionsCheese and Wine TimeThe class was really cool. You get to see the shop and check out some cheeses in the freezer and learn some things about regional cheeses. Then we made out own cheese and butter and both came out amazing and delicious. We ate our masterpieces along with a nice selection of cheese from the shop and some wine. Everything was so delicious and such a fun experience. I only wish I was staying in town longer to buy some cheese to enjoy, but I would definitely recommend the class. It was such a fun experience!Written 3 September 2024

- AngeliqueDancer0 contributionsFantastic workshop making cheese, butter, and sipping wine! A must do!This was a such a fun experience! Not only did we make cheese, we also made butter. We learned about cheese making, the different types , and then sampled more types of cheeses from the store below. The teacher was informative and fun! This is a great class to do with your family, friends, loved one, or even by yourself. The class size was small enough that each table felt they were receiving amble attention and personalized instruction. We thoroughly enjoyed and absolutely recommend this workshop!Written 11 July 2024
- TMOH80 contributionsA wonderful way to spend an hour!We visited this small museum and learnt that it had only been open for a couple of weeks. I truly hope and believe that it will be a success. In our small group of four we took one of their English language tours and learned so much about the history and process. Our guide, Evangelina?) was enthusiastic, through and entertaining, welcoming and answering numerous questions about cheese culture and etiquette. It's only a small museum but well worth a visit. It costs €20 per person, takes a hour (and we could easily have stayed longer talking about the subject) and includes a tasting of three cheeses. At the front of the museum element, there is a stunning cheese counter where you can buy your favourites, irrespective of whether or not you take the tour experience. These people LOVE their cheeses with a passion and enthusiasm that is so refreshing. I wish them every success and will recommend others to give it a visit. Bon chance!Written 27 June 2024
- Jet537646483430 contributionsAn excellent new museum and shop - worth a visitAn excellent experience led by staff who are passionate and very knowledgable about cheese and the making process. They tailored the trip to what you wanted to know and our guide spoke excellent English - and was interested in English cheeses and our tastes. They make cheese on the premises and showed the initial process There is an excellent shop (which is accessible to all) with a mind blowing selection of cheeses to buy. Unfortunately our travel arrangements prevented us from purchasing. We would recommend the experience for all who love cheese - as we do!Written 21 June 2024

We spent a delightful 2 hours with Agathe learning about the types of cheeses, how to taste wine, and finally how to taste wine and cheese together. Agathe was an amazing teacher, full of enthusiasm, and very easy to listen to. I highly recommend this as a great activity in Paris to break up museum hopping. It was engaging and my daughter and I both learned a lot! Highly recommend and thank you for doing such an excellent job, Agathe!

This was one of the highlights of our trip to Paris! Agathe was simply adorable -- she was SO knowledgeable and passionate. Her anecdotes were perfect, and you could tell that she loved her culture (and her job). We learned so much about wine and cheese. So happy we did it!

This was a *transformational* experience (especially the blue cheese and Syrah combo)! The staff were friendly, charming, and knowledgeable and we learned a great deal about wine and cheese (see title). We highly recommend this experience to foodies or anyone looking to enjoy wine and cheese in a new way.

We recently attended the cheese and wine pairing course here. Although the course was enjoyable the company has charged us twice for the experience and has refused to offer us a refund. The course was slightly over priced anyway with a minimal amount of cheese and wine offered so it is absolutely terrible for paying double what it is worth. The customer service has been shocking in trying to resolve this issue which is extremely disappointing. This has really ruined our experience. Beware of booking with this company!!

Dear jazz_0328,
We are terribly sorry about your message.
We have researched with trip advisor and it appeared you booked a month in advanced for the 30th, and a 2nd time 24h before the workshop of the 29th. Be we did not know about it as you did not booked with us on our website. In anyway be sure we will find a solution :)
Regarding the quality, we spoke with the cheese master and she was very surprised as you told her you "had a fantastic time and wanted to give an outstandingly excellent review".

I have a reasonable knowledge of cheeses and a good one of wines, Unfortunately, with 1 or 2 exceptions the cheeses served were of very average quality. The wines were all very mediocre, bordering on bad. I have had many good French cheeses and wines in my life, but these were not found at this "tasting". Many of the pairings were poor as well. Considering the price of almost €100, I expected much better quality. I can't help but feel this was a money grab.
Another perplexing thing is the fact that you are not provided with a paper of the wines and cheeses tasted with notes and other info. They are simply written on a black board and you are told to take a photo! Would it be too much trouble to print a list and give everyone a pencil so they can make notes?

This was a really fun and interesting experience. Our host was very skilled! The cheeses were perfectly ripened, and thoughtfully chosen for pairing with good drink. Although we have traveled to different corners to France, and tasted lots of cheese, there is always something new to taste and learn. Before we left the shop, we bought some more cheese so we could continue tasting (and smelling). No problems with reservations and payment. Recommended!.

What a great way to spend a couple of hours in a really buzzing and previously unexplored area of Paris. Agatha was fantastic and her passion for French cheese and wine was infectious.
All 7 cheeses we tried were delicious and we both learned a lot. Would highly recommend the experience even to the less cheese-obsessed (my partner is a definite cheese novice and mostly came for my benefit and to enjoy some wine, but he also loved it). Thanks to all involved.

My husband and I went to Paris for a long weekend, and this was a "Must Do". We wound up having a private cheese and wine tasting with the knowledgeable and friendly Damien. If I could give this experience a hundred stars I would! We sat in the cozy cellar where he ran through 8 different cheese with us and told us of his upbringings in France. We casually tasted wine and had such great conversations with him. He told us all about the different cheeses and it was so personal and exquisite. Thank you so much, Damien for a great day, it was the highlight of our trip!

My girlfriend and I had so much fun during this tasting. Experienced cheese tasting in a way that we haven't experienced in the States. We learned much the process of maturing the cheese (different from making), process in how they make it and how to pair it with a wine. For two people who are definitely not connoisseurs, it was a really fun experience, with a delicious tasting with very hospitable hosts. I can't remember his name at the moment, but the gentleman who gave us our tour was fantastic. Would highly recommend this to anyone looking to experience the culture and for a break from seeing all the sights of Paris.

What a wonderful cheese and wine tasting! Agathe is extremely knowledgeable and highly entertaining. We had a group of 13 people and this experience was definitely the highlight of our trip. We couldn't stop talking about how much we enjoyed it and how much we learned. I highly recommend booking this experience and would do it again.
