    Off the beaten path
My sister, niece and I enjoyed our ride with Antoine. We saw parts of Paris that we would have never known about otherwise. I appreciated his willingness to speak French with me during our tour.

    Step into a painting
Our guided trip to Claude Monet's house was truly amazing — Our tour guide, Nic, was fantastic and incredibly knowledgeable. His fluency in multiple languages, including Spanish, made the experience even more enjoyable. The transportation to and from the house was comfortable, and Nic's insights into Monet's life and work enriched the tour immensely. I highly recommend this beautiful tour to everyone seeking a memorable experience.

    Normandy day tour
The Normandy tour was great. We really learned a lot and enjoyed the day. Julian our tour guy was extremely nice, knowledgeable and helpful. We would highly recommend this tour. The radio broadcasts that he played in the van made it feel like we were back in 1944.

A wonderful day in the Champagne region!
We had a fantastic time on our Champagne tour with Will as our guide. It turned out that my husband and I were the only ones on the tour. I wondered if other companies might cancel the tour in this situation, but Blue Fox/Will went forward with our now private tour. Lucky us! Will is very engaging and knowledgeable about the Champagne region and France in general. He also very kindly gave us many practical and language tips as our ability to speak French is deplorable. The tour itself was perfect, with visits to both a small family run vineyard and larger winery. Both tours were quite interesting and we learned the champagne making process from two contrasting perspectives. We also had ample time for a visit to Notre Dame in Reims and the burial site of Dom Perignon. A lovely day with delicious champagne tasting.

    Worth Every Penny.
Antoine our guide was fantastic. He was so personable, fun, knowledgeable and accommodating. The entire tour was smooth from start to finish with plenty of time for all activities. The tour of all the D Day sites was an amazing yet somber experience about a terrible day that led to the end of WWll. Worth every penny. Lunch was also delicious and memorable at the 13th century apple farm. I highly recommend Blue Fox Travel. C’est fantastique!

Memorable Adventure to Giverny and Monet’s Estate
Excellent guide led a half day trip to see the countryside and visit Monet’s gardens, home, and grave. The guide provided interesting information during the drive, the beginning of the visit to Monet’s estate, and while visiting his burial site. We were given the perfect amount of time to explore the grounds independently. The guide answered all questions throughout the trip and helped make the day memorable. I highly recommend!

    Monet's gardens, a must see
Ideal group size. Out tour guide was super nice. Could have had a little more time at Monet's hoise as we returned to Paris before the estimated time, but we had a nice time.

A tour company you can trust
We did the Normandy/Beaches/American Cemetary tour and loved our tour guide. Good company. Easy to deal with and punctual. We later decided to cancel the trip to Mont St. Michel (more than 24 hours in advance) and funds were immediately returned to my credit card - true to their word. I would recommend this company.

    An emotional and unforgettable experience!
Words cannot begin to describe how incredible this day was for me and my Mom. Nic, our guide, was so accommodating, friendly, and detail oriented. His warmth and kindness shone throughout the day and made the trip even more special. As someone with family history of Canadian soldiers who fought in France in WWII, I thought I knew a lot. But Nic had so much knowledge to share, and delivered it in a passionate and respectful way. Nic, the Juno Beach Centre, the beautiful family maintaining the Canada House, the town of Courseulles-sur-Mer, I cannot thank enough for an unforgettable day. It was an emotional and life changing experience that we will never forget. Merci beacoup!

Fabien made this an unforgettable day at Versailles. We met outside the Gare Saint-Lazare in Paris and Fabien guided us onto the train to Versailles (about 30-minutes) while explaining the day's activities and getting to know everyone. When we arrived, we went to pick up the bikes and rode the bikes to the market to pick up the food for our picnic lunch. Fabien introduced us to many of the vendors and suggested many delicious food options for our picnic — yummm! Then we began the bike tour. Keep in mind that the majority of this day involves riding the bike around the ENTIRE grounds of Versailles, which are massive. We stopped several times to learn about the history of the French Monarchy at the time before eventually sitting down for our picnic. After the picnic, we resumed the tour and got to spend some time at Marie Antoinette's separate home and fake town / farm (the Petit Trianon and Queen's Hamlet). It was beautiful and hilarious (it's like Versailles Disneyland, everything is fake). We wrapped up the tour at the Palace entrance where the guide will leave you with instructions on getting back to Paris yourself.

Note that this tour does not include a guided tour of the Versailles Palace itself and you will not get there until about 4PM. My only regret was not having a tour of the palace or the gardens directly outside the palace. I just didn't read the description quite closely enough, apparently. The grounds close around 5:45, so if you prefer to spend most of your dad at the Palace and Gardens, I would recommend a different tour.

Our bike tour with Cecilia was incredible and the highlight of our trip to Paris!! We met at the metro station and on our way to Versailles Cecilia deftly handled some minor train delays and warmly engaged us with some interesting and fun historical background on The French Monarchy. In no time we were arriving at Versailles, and after a short walk, we selected our bikes which all seemed brand new. She even offered us gloves (it was a chilly day), helmets for our boys and rain ponchos just in case. We can’t imagine having not done this amazing tour with Cecilia because we’ll remember it our whole lives. Cecilia even gave us precise, easy to follow directions to within a block of our hotel. Don’t hesitate to do this. The experience was way beyond our expectations!

My wife and I had reservations for a Blue Fox bike tour of Versailles in May then the coronavirus hit. I am a healthcare worker and all vacation leave was cancelled for April and May in anticipation of the peak of the pandemic in our area. I had extensively planned our three week trip and had advance tickets for multiple tours and attractions. Attempting to cancel these reservations and request refund was a daunting task. Some did not allow any refund and others made the process so difficult it was frustrating. Blue Fox was a breath of fresh air. The banner on their website announced a very client friendly cancellation policy. I simply clicked on the Contact Us button and chose "Reschedule/Cancellation." I left a brief message explaining my situation. By the next morning, I had a very personal email from Jean-Philippe confirming the full refund and wishing us safety in the crisis. With this type of wonderful customer service, we will be sure to re-book with Blue Fox when we do finally make it to Paris! Our thoughts and prayers are with Paris, France and the rest of the world during this crisis.

The tour was super fun, it was my first time going to Versailles and my boyfriend's second time going. My boyfriend said that this time was a far better experience being able to go with a group instead of aimlessly walking the grounds. From start to finish the experience was seamless. They took care of all the train logistics, got us to a market where we could get food, and really gave us the inside scoop on the market as well which was extremely helpful. Once we got on the bikes I was thrilled to see how comfortable and easy to ride they were. The overall ride of the grounds is very very chill, not many hills or anything treacherous and our tour guide made sure that we were all together the whole time. The picnic was outstanding and touring the grounds felt seamless as well. Once we got to each location our tour guide gave us some history on it as well which was a total bonus. I highly recommend doing this tour if you want to get a very good idea of what Versailles is all about.

Hi,
I enjoyed the tour very much - Fabien our guide "clicked" with us from the very start with his candid friendliness, his enthusiasm, his knowledge of the sites we visited and last but not least - his sense of humor. His attention to each and everyone of us made the biking - touring "nice and easy"', fun despite the rain! Our picnic by the big pond was a great idea, enabling the members of our small group to get acquainted with each other.
I also want to thank your customer service at your office for allowing me to join the tour at the last minute (due to a mistake I had made in my booking).
I do recommend allowing a bit more time to visit the interior of the palace which is vast and filled with multiple rooms that are worth visiting. Some of us wished also to have some refreshments at the famous Angelina Tea Room before we pass from the bike tour to the palace visit (and that took up some of the time).
Hope to enjoy more of your tours in the future!

Our guide was amazing, friendly and very informative. We are active "seniors" and had no trouble keeping up. Everyone in our group was various ages and very friendly. We enjoyed our day immensely! Our tour through the market and our hand-picked selections early in the day. . . fresh cheeses, meats, baguette and wine made for our perfect picnic lunch by the water overlooking the palace ! At the end of our bike tour our guide dropped us off at the grand palace to continue on our own. For whatever reason, I thought we could go directly to the hall of mirrors but we actually entered the main entrance and ended up touring the entire palace before reaching the mirrors. Arriving at the entrance @ 4 p.m. resulted in maneuvering through heavy crowds throughout the palace itself. It is SO massive that we were overwhelmed after all the magnificent buildings we'd seen during our bike tour earlier in the day. I'm not sure we would have entered the building if we'd known that, as we would have preferred to have wandered around the beautiful garden grounds and fountains that were less crowded by that time of day . Overall I would highly recommend this tour to anyone that loves the outdoors and fresh air. It was delightful and one of the high-lights of our trip to France.

Hello 910rosanne, Thank you for writing this nice review. You are right, the market is really fun and so tasty! Yes, the hall of mirrors is in the middle of the Palace, it is indeed quite big... it's a palace after all, right? Have a lovely stay in France!

This was a beautiful tour! Hubby and I are 35 yo. We had Mapi as our guide, she is an actual comedian on the side, and had great energy the entire trip and answered any questions.

We were lucky in that the temp. was low 70s and sunny. The town was quaint and the market was so easy to navigate. Most vendors speak English and Mapi advised you where to shop to get better prices. The bike ride was evenly paced. Enough to take in the sights but also keep you on track efficienciently without being rushed.

The chateaux and palace where amazing. Usually you can do that on your own with out a guide but the whole experience from riding the train, riding the bikes trough the town and park around Versailles, the market, the picnic and an informative guide made this experience unique.

It's scary to do full day tours bc if it's bad, youre stuck until it ends and you wasted an entire day. This was never the case, totally worth it! Definitely a top highlight of our trip. We loved every minute of it!

What an incredible day we had spending the day with Blue Fox Travel on their Versailles bike tour. Our guide Cecelia was simply the best! Her storytelling was engaging, fun and kept our 10 year old interested and excited to be learning for the entire day. From our market trip in Versailles, to our traditional French picnic by the canal, exploring Marie Antoinettes cottage/farm and seeing the Palace itself, the entire day was well thought out/planned and the bike ride was easy/fun on this sunny, spectacular day. Merci Beaucoup Cecelia and Blue Fox. You knocked this out of the park for us and highly recommend this tour to anyone wanting a great day outside the city.

The bike tour was outstanding from start to finish! Our guide had terrific knowledge of the palace grounds and the surrounding area in Versailles. He moved at the right pace so that it was relaxed but still keeping on schedule. We liked that the tour ended with the Palace so that we could spend as little or much as we wanted inside the Palace on our own using the free audioguides provided. This is an easy and fun day trip from Paris.
