What to expect
  • This private 2-hour tour of the Orangerie Museum in Paris accommodates up to five people. With your select family and friends, enjoy an inside look at the museum led by an official guide. (If you do not already have an admission ticket to the museum, you can upgrade to include this before starting the tour.)   Your personal tour is focused on the museum’s collection by Paul Guillaume, the art dealer of Impressionist masters Renoir, Cézanne, Modigliani, Picasso and Matisse. You’ll be amazed by Monet’s Water Lilies, displayed on oversized-panels in oval rooms.   During the tour, learn about the museum’s origins as an orange grove of the Tuileries Gardens before it became Monet’s designated display site for his work completed at Giverny.   Hear about the drama that shrouded Guillaume’s coveted collection, including a fake pregnancy, murder and a court case. Along the way, soak up fun facts about the extraordinary life of Coco Chanel.   Please note: A minimum of two people per booking is required.

This private tour exceeded our expectations. Napoleone Tour went out of their way to make history come alive; they simplified the complex history of where the collection originated from and made it both memorable as well as entertaining. This museum is not as massive and overwhelming as the Louvre, or the Orsay (all of which we also toured). It does not have the massive crowds thus allowing you to get up close to the art and contemplate what the tour guide (I wish I remember his name, he was FANTASTIC!) shared or pointed out. We also had our 20 year old son with us and he agreed that it was a fantastic tour and great museum. I highly recommend not missing this museum but REALLY recommend doing the tour with Napoleone Tour. They just made it different from all of the other tours we took (we did almost 2 tours a day for 7 days!); we loved it!

We booked this tour due to good reviews in Trip advisor and it was absolutely perfect. Our guide was knowledgeable and with nice personality. We were never bored. It really worth the 2 hours in the romantic capital of France.
