As one of the world’s most famous paintings, the Mona Lisa rarely gets much peace. During regular visiting hours she is almost constantly mobbed by hundreds of people, severely compromising any time you get to spend with her. In order to avoid the crowds, we’ll take you to see her after most visitors have left and give you plenty of space to enjoy her beauty. Tested and perfected through countless research trips, your itinerary inverts the normal Louvre route allowing you to see much more than other visitors who are on the normal tours that try to fit the rest of the museum into 1.5 hours. During the tour, your guide will show you the Louvre’s most treasured sights, including the historic foundations of the Kings’ palace moat, Greek and Roman sculptures like the ‘Venus de Milo’, ‘Cupid & Psyche’, and Michelangelo’s ‘Slaves’; and many of the greatest works ever created by French artists such as ‘Liberty Leading the People’ by Delacroix and ‘The Raft of Medusa’ by Géricault. You’ll also see France’s old crown jewels, the world famous ‘Winged Victory’ monument, and works from Italian painters like Caravaggio, Raphael, and da Vinci. There are many ways to see the Louvre, but only one way shows you all the best works and gets you in front of the Mona Lisa after most of the crowds have left. Your guide takes care of all the time and logistics so all you have to do is enjoy the art. Adam was able to guide us through Lovre with his exceptional knowledge. The tour feels very cohesive and the things he showed us were selective and built up on eachother. He managed to engage everyone throughout the whole tour and even surprised the ones who visited the museum before with very interesting perspectives and facts. I can highly recommend everyone this tour when they want to visit the museum!

Our guide Belen was amazing! She was so knowledgeable and led our group of 12 throughout the museum in a very efficient way. She explained the history as well as the art itself in an amazing way! Going later in the day meant the museum wasn’t crowded but the Louvre is not something you want to do on your own. I would definitely do this tour again! (And don’t forget to tip your guide!)

Adam was an absolutely fantastic guide. We have experienced many museum tours in several countries and I can pretty confidently say that this was one of my all time favorites. Adam’s knowledge was above and beyond anything that I have experienced previously. Not only did I walk away with a greater knowledge of specific significant pieces of art at the Louvre, but he gave us a road map of knowledge of how to spot certain key signs for viewing art in the future. The Louvre can be an overwhelming place that I have heard other travelers come back saying they had a bad time because there was too much to see which is stressful and tiring. But this tour made it truly fascinating and highly enjoyable to the point of actually being disappointed that the tour was ending. Do yourself a favor and don’t go to the louvre without Adam!

Booked the tour thru Trip Advisor with booking ref BK-871879322 for April 14th. There was zero communication from the tour operator with no instructions or email on where the closest station was to the attraction. What we had was vague instructions that we received from Trip Advisor. We called the number listed (Walks Devour) when we were not able to meet the tour guide and it took them 45 minutes to trace the tour operator who apparently was a different person. It was a total waste of time and money and apparently a few other people have also had the same issue.

Dear 756mohanb, Thank you for reaching out about your experience with us. We work very hard to ensure the success of our services and rely on our guests' direct comments to always improve. First of all, we wanted to apologise about what happened, as we can only imagine the disappointment. At the same time though, we would like to receive more information to investigate things further as this is the first time someone reports this issue. As a matter of fact, TripAdvisor's booking platform should automatically generate and send a confirmation email with all our direct contacts as well as the tour directions upon completing the booking. Could it have ended in spam perhaps? Again, we are terribly sorry this happened to you and would like to discuss the matter further, so please feel free to contact us at feedback@walks.org at any time and we will be happy to assist you. Kindest regards,

Adam was the best guide we could have hoped for. He timed every story and exhibit perfectly. Throughout the entire tour we got the feeling that each explanation prepares us for the next one. His narration was eloquent, vivid and highly entertaining. His control of the subject matter and approachable presentation were superb.

The theme of the tour was learning to appreciate the Mona Lisa. I feel confident in saying that mission was very successful but even if we had never got to see the Mona Lisa (we have, it was impeccably timed) the journey there was more than worth it. The Louvre came to life through it.

Team Adam FTW!

We had Adam as our guide (Team Adam!!!) and he was simply the best. His knowledge, inviting warmth and ability to read our group and have as much fun with us as we had with him made this amazing trip to the Louvre even better. He was extremely engaging, bringing us into the conversation as much as he was educating us, all while we smiled, learned and laughed. We have taken a few "Walks" Groups in our travels, and while near all our guides have been fantastic, Adam is about as memorable as seeing the Mona Lisa and really made the afternoon such an enjoyable experience.

We could not be happier with our tour of the Louvre. Adam was our guide. He was a delight. Entertaining, knowledgeable and able to deal with our, sometimes uninformed, questions. It was a highlight for both myself and my teenaged granddaughter. When we got to the Mona Lisa we both understood what we were looking and had time to spend close to the painting without being rushed along. It was money well spent. I would definitely do another tour with this company.

A for art, A for amazing, and A for always Team Adam! We learned to A-lot from Adam: he is incredibly knowledgable about the Museum and the art contained within. We learned that most early statues of people were modeled on men; how to identify a front facing statue; where the largest French crown jewel wound up; why the eyes of the Mona Lisa follow you and much more. Nope, not given up the secrets, that's what it means to be on Team Adam. Join one of his tours and be a member for life! Yes, it's that's good, and fun.

We took the Skip the Line Closing Tour on Monday December 23 – a very crowded afternoon at the Louvre. Our tour leader, Adam, AKA "Team Adam!," led one of the most extraordinary tours our family has ever taken, culminating in the Mona Lisa, no less. In fact, for an art museum tour this was hands down the best tour we have ever taken; our family of three, including a millennial, was not bored for one second. At the beginning of the tour, Adam articulated his goal of ensuring that when we viewed the Mona Lisa we would appreciate and understand its beauty and historical relevance. In essence, Adam’s tour was a crash course on one of the most significant eras of art history, He used the Louvre as a 'live classroom' and we had the privilege of being his attentive students. We bore witness to some of the most famous pieces of art in western history, and learned how they all tied together, ending with of Da Vinci's (what I think is deservingly, I might add) most renowned work, the Mona Lisa. In fact, later in the week we took a private tour (with a different company) of the DaVinci exhibit at the Louvre – and we quickly discovered what we learned from Adam was exceedingly beneficial in understanding the DaVinci exhibit. If this review has yet to make it obvious, he more than fulfilled his goal and the tour exceeded our expectations in all respects.

We are certainly lucky to work with such excellent guides who are not only well informed in their respective fields, but also passionate enough to bring an era and a story to life for all who listen! Thank you for your review; we hope to have the chance to tour with you again in the future!

the experience was stress free the guide staff showed up on time and the meeting instructions were perfect. Our tour guide was very helpful and gave a good presentation with lots of interesting facts. They provided headsets so hearing was very easy, important to me as I am somewhat hard of hearing. the walking was fairly easy with few steps. Monday would be a good choice since so many other museums are closed on monday. The tour was about 3 hours We could have spent several days there and will when We go back
