I took this tour alone on a cool rainy day but enjoyed every minute even in the rain. My tour guide is well versed in French history and culture, and brought this area of Paris alive for me. I learned a lot in addition to eating a delicious breakfast (and learning how to order coffee in France), tasty patisseries, savory cheeses, and smoked salmon. Time flew by, and when we arrived at the wine bar for wine tasting, I was already stuffed. The wine tasting mirrored the rest of the tastings - delicious! One recommendation: don't have any breakfast before going on this tour. But do go on this tour!

Thank you very much for taking the time to leave us a review. We are really happy to read that you enjoyed your food tour, that you ate a lot of delicious food and learned a lot too! We do tend to offer a lot of food on our tour, so your no-breakfast recommendation is probably a good one! We think that if you are taking a food tour then we should have you taste and enjoy plenty of wonderful food and great wines, so we do include breakfast, tastings and lunch. The area around is so fascinating you can always walk it off afterwards! We hope to have the pleasure of hosting you on another of our tours in future!

This was exactly the type of tour I love: small group, a knowledgeable tour guide, and a relaxing (and highly tasty!) finish. I loved everything we tried, I loved the neighborhood, and it was a really short walk between places so I wouldn't call it much of a walking tour. Every place you go to you get to try things and then also bring something with you, and then at the end of the tour (at the wine bar) they prepare everything for you and there is so much to eat! Don't worry though, if you can't eat your way through the rest of the picnic lunch they will wrap it up to take home.

I would HIGHLY recommend this tour and this company!

Thank you so much for your very kind review, which we are delighted to read! We are really happy that you enjoyed both the food and discovering the neighborhood, which is a very typical area of Paris, full of locals and also full of history. We very much appreciate your recommendation and hope you had a wonderful stay in Paris. We'd be delighted to welcome you again!

My husband and I took this tour on our first full day in Paris. We met our guide Hervé and were happy to find that we were the only two who had booked on this occasion. This made for a very personalized experience.

The itinerary was very well planned and was as follows - 1. a local bakery for a coffee and a pastry of choice (both truly excellent), 2. a visit to Rue Montorgueill (the most amazing food street in Paris) for cheeses at a fromagerie and a delicious chocolate shop, 3. Patisserie Stohrer, the oldest patisserie in Paris for a pastry to eat there and some for later, 4. an Epicerie which sold traditional delicacies, such as pâtés, terrines and foie gras from South West France, and 5. our final stop was to an award-winning wine bar for a typical French picnic-style lunch with food purchased by Hervé earlier on the tour accompanied by a flight of French wines from 3 different regions presented by the sommelier.

Hervé was an excellent guide and his story of the history of the sections we were passing through on our walk added an interesting dimension to the experience. The vendors were passionate and proud about their products, and the quality and quantity of the tastings offered was generous. The tour was excellent value for money and took us to shops we would not have visited during our stay.

I highly recommend this as a wonderful way to get a taste of authentic delicious French food.

It was even more than we expected. Jessica, our tour guide, was informative about the food and wine and included enjoyable tidbits on the history of how the foods many of the foods were introduced to France.

We had a group of 4 with Jessica today, and she was an absolute joy to be with for the tour. We learned a lot about the 'belly' of Paris along with history and interesting facts all along the way. We ended with an exclusive lunch and learned all about the wine regions and different types of wine from Nicholas, our sommelier, who guided our wine, cheese and mear tasting. Worth every euro spent, and then some!!! Very much recommend this tour, and ask for Jessica and Nicholas!!

Thank you very much for your review and recommendation for our tour! We are really happy to hear that you enjoyed this tour, the lunch and wine tasting. It's quite a new tour that we launched recently, and we worked hard to make it a really authentic and local French experience for our guests. It's very rewarding for us to hear that you appreciated it, thank you!
