The second great museum of Paris, and a must see - unlike the Louvre, featuring the collection that is almost entirely made of French art. A definite recommendation and a unique experience.

Whispers of Water Lilies at the Orangerie Museum
The Orangerie Museum's intimate setting, with Monet's Water Lilies enveloping the walls, offered a peaceful retreat from Paris' bustle. The collection's depth and beauty provided a tranquil and enriching experience.

      Excellent Guide
Excellent experience with Milia. She is an excellent guide. Very knowledgeable. Well worth the cost. We learned a great deal about Picasso beyond what we knew previously.

      Good Guide Boris
Great tour! I don't think we could find better guy than Boris to guide us! He has a lot of knowledge of art, architecure, literature and history. We had so much fun and interesting discussion about range of topics!

      Let there be light!
Another really great tour with Boris. La sainte chapelle is absolutely magnificent and Boris was able to bring it to life. The conciergerie was also a great addition, with the history and architecture being so wonderfully gothic. I would 100% do this again!

      Everything I expected and more
I honestly really enjoyed this tour. 1.5 hours was the perfect amount of time to get a decent understanding of the Orangerie and its main pieces. I would definitely go back! If you are looking for a great way to get in-depth knowledge about the pieces on display, this is the tour for you!

      La Sainte Chapelle is magnificant!
What a tour! Boris is more than engaging - he knows so much about architecture, churches and history! Also, he is very entertaining. La Sainte Chapelle is of course a must if you visit Paris. I live in London and I do not think there is anything similar as this marvelous experience. Out of this world!

      Do not miss this tour
The guide was so knowledgeable and engaging - this tour is excellent! Even my 7 year old son asked questions and did not lose interest to the end! Orangerie is one of those Parisian places you can not miss - my sincere recommendation!

More than just an art tour
Yes, the museum itself is a wonder. Yes, the art is enough to keep you immersed for a long while. And yet, Boris finds a way to make the experience even more enjoyable with choice tidbits of history and spicy details behind some of the works. You will not regret going on this tour, believe me.

A wonderful look into the past and present
Boris led us through this marvellous monument on a tour which was so full of insights that it left us in a thoughtful and openminded mood through the rest of our stay in Paris. He demonstrated a great ability to look at things from many different angles at the same time. I wholeheartedly recommend Paris in Person for all your tourist needs.

Such a uniquely meaningful guided experience
Wow what a tour! Many people come to this attraction simply to enjoy a quartet at sunset bathed in the magnificent light. On this tour, you will discover the very meaning of light! The guide is unlike any regular, mundane type that one usually finds in big tourist traps. He took us into the inner secrets of aesthetics, architecture, religion, the angelic realm, leaving us with a sense of having ourselves just participated in a kind of liturgy! Although some may find the content deep or ‘academic’, the guide is actually hilarious and is easy to engage with questions (or jokes for the clowns like me). Highly recommend!

      Loved it!
I always wanted to go and visit La Sainte Chapelle but never took the time. I’m really glad I finally did and chose Boris as our guide. I have learned so much! My husband and I absolutely loved the tour. Thank you again!

      Depth, quality, humour and surprises!
Boris led a thoroughly comprehensive and thought-provoking tour, with depth that was a change from the banal and ordinary which one could easily discover oneself on Google. Instead, we were taken on a sort of artistic adventure into aesthetics, light and shade, the lives of artists, of Parisian salons, France & Europe across the centuries from Catholicism to secularism, and beyond. Where one may expect a few hours of distraction to fill up a day and tick a tourist box, one left having acquired something truly meaningful.

If you are not a big museum lover, the Musee D'Orsay is the perfect museum to see. It is just one building and 2 floors. Tina was our guide and did an outstanding job giving us the type of information we wanted. She was attentive to our slower pace and answered our questions. It is a 2 hour tour and easy to see everything during that time. It has the type of art and sculptures that kept us interested. Again this was 1 of 4 tours that I specifically booked with Paris In Person after doing extensive research of many tour companies. I was Very Satisfied with the quality of the tour and the communication with the owner, Boris. If you are on the fence about a tour, just look this company up and do any of the tours they offer. You will not be disappointed.

Our tour guide, Amy is an expert in the French art and history. Amy arranged the sequence of art she showed us in a manner that was easy to understand and see the differences and points she described. I see art much differently now that Amy explained how to look at the evolution of the styles and history. Amy made the art very interesting and fun. I highly recommend Amy for GetYourGuide, Musée d’Orsay tours.

Boris provided an exceptional tour of the Musée d'Orsay, blending deep knowledge of art history with delightful intellectual banter. His passion for the subject was evident, enriching the experience and making it both educational and enjoyable. He skillfully navigated through the museum's collection, offering insights and engaging conversations in a captivating manner. He was kind to detour to pieces that we inquired about with a vast range of knowledge on the entire collection. Overall, Boris's tour was a highlight, leaving a lasting impression and a deeper appreciation for art.

We had a fabulous tour with Amy through the Musee D’Orsay. Amy was fantastic guide, orienting us - and most importantly our two kids - on the history of the museum and the key themes of Impressionism. She made the tour fun and engaging for my kids and the whole family had a blast learning and exploring. Great tour!

I’ve wanted to go to Musee d’Orsay for years and I finally had my chance. I consider myself extremely fortunate to have had a guide as knowledgeable and gifted at sharing his insights as Boris. It is an overwhelming collection but he gave us an outstanding 2 hour tour - grounding us in some fundamentals up front and then walking us through the 5th floor. Boris provided historical and cultural context at an unusually high level that was both fascinating and fun.

We had a great private tour of Museum D'Orsay. Amy is incredibly knowledgeable not only in art (especially paintings), but also architecture, art history and French history. She made the tour interesting, fun and even approachable for my wife and I. We saw some wonderful works of art, but also learned about art and French history. I wish we had scheduled a longer tour (ours was 2 hours), but we will defintely go back and do other Paris tours with her. Five stars, would do it again.

Boris was our tour guide at Musee d’Orsay. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding the complex relationship between art, history, philosophy and the evolution of world power. He thoughtfully described how these associations affected the human condition for centuries. We spent several hours with Boris and we’re engaged the entire time with him.

He is a brilliant historian and if you are hoping for a guide who is passionate and well educated, schedule a tour with Boris. You will not be disappointed. He may change the way you look at art and the world.

We met Amy in front of the Orsay museum, and immediately she whisked us inside for our tour. Me, my husband and our two teenage daughters were completely jet lagged, but Amy kept the tour interesting and engaging. The pace was perfect and my girls said after it was the best tour we ever had, and I agree. Amy is friendly, knowledgeable and we thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the museum with her as our guide.
