My husband and I had an excellent private tour of Carcassonne with Anna. We walked around the old city and learned all about the history of the area, and toured the inside of the castle and the ramparts. It was interesting, informative, and great fun. Anna was very friendly and enthusiastic and we very much enjoyed spending time with her. We had been skeptical about visiting such a busy tourist destination (which we visited as a day trip from Toulouse), but Anna directed the tour in a way that we hardly noticed other tourists. Great destination, great tour, and a really wonderful guide!

We weren't sure what to expect other than an old fort and references to knights. We were so mistaken! Not only was there so much to see in the old town, from stone ramparts to restaurants to sword shops, but Anne was a superb tour guide! She was knowledgeable and full of interesting information about Carcassonne across the ages. She shared facts and humor across English and French (she also speaks Spanish), and was happy to focus on the parts that interested us. She also offered suggestions on restaurants and bars. She even helped us discuss sword construction with one of the shop owners. In short, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and flexible for us. We definitely want to come back, and highly recommend Anne as a guide!

Excellently narrated and fun walking tour today with Anna. Our group of four learned so much about Carcassonne and it’s walled city. Anna was informative, fun and took us around at a nice pace. We all said we would highly recommend Anna as a guide.
