Exceptional Private tour by Allied Victory Tours
Oct 2021
Allied Victory Tours and tour guide/owner Mike provided a wonderful, informative full day American D-Day tour. From the beginning I found the website engaging with all the information needed to plan accordingly. Communication with Mike was prompt. My group of five were met at the train station by Mike who went over the itinerary and allowed time to get a bite and freshen up. For the remainder of the day Mike drove us around the invasion sites and told us many facinating historical stories about the planning for D-Day, the invasion and post D-Day events. Mike knowledgeable answered our questions. Whether you plan to spend a day or more having a guide like Mike made the visit so much more interesting and enriching.

Incredible Guide!
Mike took us on a full-day guided tour of WWII sites during our latest trip to Normandy. We had visited the area twice before, but this was our first time with a guide. It was a wonderful experience! Mike was the perfect person to introduce us to the details of each area and to the personal stories of those who fought there. He even tweaked our itinerary based on the sites we had already visited and included a more detailed look at Easy Company's path - of particular interest to us because of Band of Brothers. Mike's friendly demeanour, extensive knowledge of, and passion for history made the full-day tour both educational and entertaining. His van was very comfortable for our group of four and there was easily room for more. He wore a microphone when he talked in the van so that we could all hear him clearly. He answered all of our questions and gave us recommendations of the best museums to visit and places to tour that we did not get to do on our tour with him. We are so happy we booked with him! Book with him now for your trip to Normandy, you will not be dissapointed! Thank you, Mike!

Wonderful trip to the D Day invasion sites in Normandy. Mike is a wonderful tour guide and historian.
Mike is an excellent tour guide. My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our tour of the D day invasion on the Normandy beaches. The lowering of the flag at the American Cemetery caused me to choke up hearing taps and seeing the thousands of white crosses representing those that made the ultimate sacrifice for our freedoms. Not only was Mike extremely knowledgeable about WWII history but he was so passionate about this time period that his fascinating stories made this time period come to life. He was also very personable and kind. It was a pleasure to get to know him and sit back and relax as he drove us all around to the various sites in his comfortable and clean vehicle.

D'Day Historical tour
Jul 2021
Great day from start to finish. If you want a "historical he culmination of the day was a visit to the Normandy American cemetery which put all the day's visit into perspective. The taking of the US FLAGs down at 5:00 pm with taps was especially moving. Every American/European should do this tour to get an appreciation of the sacrifice all ours soldiers gave.
Anyone planning on visiting Northern France/Paris, needs to take this guided tour.
Highly recommended.

Total 5 star experience from a truly amazing guide
I can’t say enough about Mike and his tour. I traveled with my wife and three boys (13,12,9) and Mike did an excellent job. He picked us all up directly at our hotel, and had a perfect van for my family. He was perfect with the amount of information he provided throughout the day. He kept things broad and interesting for my boys, then would fill in details with my wife and I about places and events. He would quiz the boys to keep them engaged throughout the trip. It’s clear Mike is passionate about his job and this subject and his job. We only did a half day tourney to my children, but I would recommend Mike without resignation for a short tour like ours, to a multi day deep dive into the events and places surrounding D-Day. His knowledge clearly surpasses just D day information regarding history. Not only is he clearly a mountain of information, he’s just a great, enjoyable person to be around. Can’t recommend him enough. Seriously, just book him, you won’t regret it.

A year later and my family is still talking about Mike's tour
Nov 2020 • Family
My family went on Mike's tour in early December 2019 and we are STILL talking about this tour and how it was the best part of our trip. My mom, sisters, niece, and I took my dad who's obsessed with WWII. If I'm being honest, my mom, my sisters, my niece, and I could have cared less about going. Mike's description about the different battles was very descriptive and incredibly interesting. We've been on tours before that our are so boring but Mike's was not the case. Do yourself a favor and book Mike's tour, you will not regret it!

Excellent professional meaningful full day visit
Sep 2020 • Family
Highly recommend Allied Victory Tours! Mike picked my intergenerational group up from our lodge in a remote village in his comfortable, spacious van right on time. We spent the whole day with him and we all enjoyed every minute. What I appreciated was his ability to provide a great, solid overview of the history at each stop that everyone could understand and then he was happy to delve into more details and anecdotes depending on our questions. He also knows when to let the group chill out and admire the countryside during the drives vs when to talk. We were traveling with my two year old and Mike was very patient and accommodating with her, thankfully :). You can't get this kind of an experience no matter how many museums you visit, so if you can, see if you can spend a day with Mike! Memorable, meaningful, educational, and fun experience guaranteed!

My husband and I had a great tour with Mike. He is passionate and knowledgeable about the events of D-Day. He brought the sights to life with his stories. First Rate Guide for Normandy
Jul 2020
I had a great tour with Mike in Normandy. I was tracing the path of my Uncle's Battalion (HQ Company, 1st Battalion, 134th Regiment, 35th Division). Mike was an excellent guide, and really full of passion and knowledge of Battle of Normandy and the D-Day landings. With Mike's help I was able to pinpoint areas that my Uncle's unit fought and he brought to life in particular how the fighting took place with in the hedgerow countryside. In addition to Mike's knowledge of the D-Day landing sites, Mike is also well suited to guide around St. Lo area as he and his wife also run a B&B nearby (Pont de la Pierre - where there is a memorial to the 115th Regiment, 29th Division).

Exceptional Tour!
Jun 2020
My family of 4 (parents and teenage boys) did a tour with Mike. He was an excellent guide! He has had a passion for this since he was 12 so has so much knowledge to share and interesting stories..even to keep teenagers e engaged! The sites are humbling, moving, beautiful...an incredible day. I am very happy we decided to tour with Mike rather than on our own as he taught us so much and was able to point out things we would not have otherwise noticed. When we return with friends who are visiting, we will not hesitate to have him be our guide again.
