        Must Do from Bayeaux
Eric was an excellent tour guide. He’s very knowledgeable, and you can see his passion for WW2. It was a jam packed tour and one of the highlights of our trip. We only had 5 on our tour, so it felt like a private tour. The van is comfortable, and the stop for lunch was very good. I liked not having the food price included. This is an absolute must do in your lifetime. These men sacrificed so much for freedom. I’m so glad we did this tour from Bayeaux. It gave us extra time at each location.

        Highly recommend this great tour!
We had the best day! The tour that Alec gave was so informative and very interesting. The visit to the beaches, The Utah Beach Museum, and the stops in between were fantastic! The American Cemetery in Omaha Beach is so moving and breathtaking. Be sure to be there for taps. What a beautiful and emotionally great site that pays tribute to those who gave all. Alec’s recall for numbers and interesting facts is remarkable. He, an Englishman transport who lives in France knows more about the USA, Great Britain and France together than anyone - especially ourselves!

        Omaha Tour
Ou guide was very knowledgeable and made very efficient use of the time allotted. He spoke English. I would definitely recommend and take this tour again. The area is large and the history vast, this tour allows for a good understanding while also covering a lot of areas geographically.

        A meaningful experience
I have wanted to see the Normandy beaches for quite a while . Finally had the opportunity in December. The weather didn’t really cooperate, but we were ready for it. The stories of Eric , our guide, were still compelling and he clearly knows his stuff. We were a small group of 8 in the van and as expected at that time of year, it was pretty empty. We really got a good sense of what the fighting had look3d like. I’ve taken off one star because I felt very rushed at our last stop, the US cemetery. It was closing at 5, we got there about 4:30 and they wouldn’t even let us walk all the way down because it closes at 5 on the nose. Nor did we have time for the Visitor Center there, which I had read was fabulous. Sadly, this was because we spent about 45 min listening to Eric while standing outside the first stop at the church. While interesting, that stop could easily have been 15-20 minutes which would’ve left us more time at the end. I felt as if our timing was off all day.

Full-day Tour of American Beaches and Cemetery
A thorough, interesting tour of the Omaha and Utah beaches and the US cemetery. Our guide, Alex, was interesting, humorous and friendly. We highly recommend him.

A memorable trip to St Michel's.
Katell picked us up in her clean and modern Mercedes van and drove us from Bayeux to Mont Saint-Michel. The journey took about 90 minutes, after which we made our way to the island. Katell's English was excellent, and her historical knowledge of Mont Saint-Michel, the Normandy region, and the military involvement during World War II was outstanding. She patiently guided us through each area of the monastery, explaining everything carefully, passionately, and precisely. The pace of the tour was perfect. Well done!

Fabulous and deeply moving day on this day trip from Bayeaux. Matt was the tour leader, and from beginning to end, he brought to life the history of the D-Day landings and the weeks that followed. Highly recommend.

        Awesome tour !
The trip to Mont St. Michel was an excellent day ! We were delighted with our tour guide Julie, who described the history and uniqueness of the site with great detail and showed us the distinct beauty and highlights of the area and took the extra steps to answer all of our questions. We highly recommend her for your guests !

        Best Tour Ever!
This was, by far, the best tour I have ever had and the highlight of me and my wife’s France trip! Bucket list item checked off! Seeing the sites of where American soldiers landed and jumped into Omaha Beach and Utah Beach was amazing. My great uncle was at Omaha Beach on D-Day and to see where he landed was a moment to remember. Eric, the tour guide, was very kind, very knowledgeable, and all around amazing. We will definitely book with Gold Beach Company again!

        Memorable Day in Normandy
Alex is a terrific tour guide! He has an extraordinary understanding of World War II Normandy, and he's passionate about the people who have stories that need to be told. His telling of those stories in the places they occurred is incredibly moving. He's also very funny. The combination made for a very enjoyable and memorable day.

        Incredible Site, Solid Tour
This was a well-organized tour of an amazing place. We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Mon St Michel, from the long walk across the land bridge to the climb to the top of the monastery. Our tour guide was good, very knowledgeble and personable. I would have enjoyed more interaction - more stories and chat - during the long drive between Bayeux and the site (and back). Otherwise, very pleased with the tour.

        Excellent Tour
This is a full day tour of the D-day area, with five stops - the town of Sainte Mere Eglise, Utah Beach, Pointe du Hoc, Omaha Beach, and the American Cemetery. We had some free time at Utah beach to visit the museum (entrance fee included in the tour price) and at the cemetery. The tour was well-organized and our guide was excellent. Every stop was interesting and the stories from our guide were moving. We especially appreciated the sequence: visiting the cemetery last, we were in time for the daily playing of taps and lowering of the flag - a very nice ceremony.

        Great Experience!
We met Eric, our tour guide, at the pick-up point, Place du Quebec and headed towards the Canadian D-Day beaches. Eric was extremely knowledgeable and well prepared. In addition to his formal presentation (a binder with maps and photos), he had a number of stories and observations that enhanced our visit, and always had time to answer our questions. We spent the morning visiting the 3 Canadian beaches and the Juno Beach museum. The museum includes some artifacts from D-Day but also includes a great deal of information about Canada (1939-1945) and its overall involvement in WWII. After a brief lunch we followed the paths of the Canadians as they moved inland toward Caen. The tour terminated with the tragic events of the massacre of captured Canadian troops by the 12th SS Division at Authie and at the Abbey d'Ardenne. Eric provided background information at every stop and then allowed us time to take photos and to explore the plaques and monuments. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who is interested in the Canada's contribution to the Normandy invasion.

        The Best Ever
While I am not sure how to spell his name, our guide was the best we have ever had. His knowledge and skill in sharing that knowledge were unparalleled. On top of that he was a very nice and thoughtful man. Both my wife and I felt that he truly made the history of D-Day truly come alive.

Vincent arrived at our hotel to pick us up on the dot. The previous day we had visited the American landing beaches and Pointe du Hoc, followed by the American Cemetery. So our request for the Jeep tour was to visit the British landmarks. Vincent tailored our next 4 hours perfectly. The Jeep ride was incredible, as Vincent took us "off-piste" to see sights the group tours wouldn't get to. The day was glorious so the open top ride in the Jeep was fabulous. Vincent is a local and his family having suffered the German occupation had real stories to tell. He imparted lots of his knowledge to us, information that isn't in the guide books. The whole experience was utterly memorable. When we booked we knew we were spending a sizeable chunk of money but after the tour we said it was worth every penny and more. Vincent gave us real value for money and we would recommend this experience to anyone. D-Day and all the logistics in the planning came to life. Thanks for a lifetime experience Vincent.

The trip was phenomenal. Everyone on the big tour buses that we saw was envious that they hadn’t chosen the jeep tour. Our tour guide Kate was so knowledgeable and passionate about The invasion and shared stories from her own families history living there for generations. Going through the villages and back roads gave you a look back in time that the big buses just can’t because of their size. It was a wonderful day on a original WW2 jeep and would recommend this trip 100%.

We went for the half day jeep tour with our awesome guide, Vincent. He was very knowledgeable and brought to life many of the key events of the D-day invasion. As a WW2 history buff, riding around in a vintage jeep was the coolest way to see the beautiful coastline and learn about one of the most important events in history. Highly recommended to anyone with an interest in the period.

We had an outstanding tour experience with Gold Beach Company on October 21, 2022. Our guide Vincent was wonderful and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the D-Day landings. Vincent was waiting at the Bayeux train station for my wife and me in his Willys Jeep when we arrived from Paris. We spent the next four hours with him visiting Arromanches, Longues sur Mer battery, Omaha Beach, and the US military Cemetary and Memorial. Tremendously worthwhile and moving. A highlight of our trip.

Had an amazing half-day private jeep tour from Bayeux, a few days before attending the D-Day ceremonies at the American Cemetery at Omaha Beach. We visited the various locations made famous on D-Day with guides Almadine and David who were wonderful in explaining the significance of each location. The jeep tour got us all the more excited for the ceremonies, once we had a better understanding of what happened. Thank you, Almadine and David, for your enthusiasm, warmth and knowledge!

I can not say enough about how amazing this experience was! We had a family of 6 including 2 children (15 and 11). Kate and Vincent made this such a special experience. The Jeep’s were an amazing way to get the experience of the troops and driving through the country side was unbelievable. And when I say driving through the country side it his was no tour on highways. You could truly understand the battles that would have taken place in the hedge rows. The supplemental information with pictures and Their knowledge was unbelievable. This made our trip to Normandy and I can’t recommend this tour enough. Additionally we did a trip to Mont St Michel which I will review in another post but is was amazing too. The service and attention to detail was perfect. Don’t miss this tour.
