- 99ainurt0 contributionsDreams come trueThis summer my dream to see lavender fields blossom came true thanks to this excursion guided by Giovanni Pascal. I was travelling alone without a car so thought that it would be easy to hire an Uber from one of the cities at Cote d'Azur...which was very expensive finally. So a few days before my departure I fortunately found this company offering the visit for a reasonable price. The excursion itself was organized very well, we saw 5 or 6 different fields and stopped at a local products craftsmen. An absolute jewel of the tour was Giovanni the guide, a person who loves what he does, we the tourists felt it in everything he was sharing with us. Also, he saved me while my phone was not switching on for taking photos. He generously proposed taking pictures and then sent them to me. An awesome experience that I recommend to everyone! Thank you again, Giovanni!Written 29 October 2024
- GoPlaces6067300 contributionsMagical day in ProvenceFantastic morning wine tour with Gabrielle! She was excellent. Very knowledgeable about the area and the wineries. We had a small group of 3 visitors and really enjoyed the landscapes and the wines. We particularly loved the second winery.Written 29 October 2024

- Traveler270661190710 contributionsA relaxing day with superb viewsGabriela was our guide. She was very friendly, a good driver and kept perfectly to the timing. She gave us info about the locality. We had just the right amount of time in each village. Gabriela suggested options & we were free to do our own thing. We had an hour each in Lourmarin and Roussillon & just under an hour in Gordes. We had good photo opportunities (2 photo stops) & Gabriela is a good photographer. The villages are really beautiful & each with its own charm. There are public toilets in Lourmarin & Roussillon, but didn’t see any in Gordes. It’s an 1 1/4 hour drive back from Gordes to Aix en Provence. It was very comfortable in the minibus with only 5 of us.Written 16 October 2024
- cecilye140 contributionsAn Afternoon Touring LuberonIt was a wonderful experience. Our guide, Greg was very knowledgeable about the region’s history and about land use (wine, lavender and geology). There was sufficient time to spend in each location allowing some of us to enjoy a snack and a drink. Greg was extremely personable. I highly recommend the tour. Thank you Greg! She was the best guide—knowledgeable, friendly, and full of energy. Gabriela knew the perfect routes to take, balancing scenic beauty with a bit of adventure. She explained the history and culture of the area with such passion that it brought everything to life. Her attention to everyone’s comfort and safety made the experience even better. - constancek7210 contributionsGo with Greg!Greg was wonderful. He is very knowledgeable about the area, very personable and funny, and caring about each individual. I did two tours with him. One was wine tasting and the other was the villages of Liberon. Both tours were phenomenal, a lot because of him!Written 3 October 2024
- laurafU7539WA0 contributionsFantastic way to spend a day in Provence! The bike trip through the Luberon villages was the highlight of our trip to Provence! Thank you to Suzzane who braved the weather with us (and the weather held up), we biked through four villages and made a trip to see Pont Julien. We had a traditional lunch at a cafe with a sun-room that overlooked the valley, below. Suzzane was flexible with the itinerary to accommodate our interests and knowledgeable of the area.Written 30 September 2024

Remy our tour guide was a delight! His commentary was fun, interesting and highly engaging with each member of the tour. Passionate and patient negotiating the traffic congestion on market day @ L’ Isle Sue La Sorgue & other narrow roads within the area. Appreciated hearing what can be found in the sections of this very crowded market ( antiques, food clothing) Rousillion was a firm favourite with the ochre buildings, narrow passageways & certainly worth the stroll up to top of the Abbey. Shops offered quality clothing, jewellery, food Stopped to view Gordes which is picturesque from a distance. Lunch in beautiful Loumarin was delicious, recommend the Salade du Luberon as something different from other salads in Provence. The highly touristy village of underground La Fontaine de Vaucluse lined with tall old oak trees & fast flowing crystal clear river Sorgue will leave an imprint hard to forget. Fontaine currently not flowing.Lunch was equally delicious although staff were struggling with tourist volume but still friendly & smiling. Remy recommended Le Figuero which other tour members found to be excellent. Bonnieux provided a superb viewing point of the picturesque surrounding area. Thanks Remy for a most enjoyable day, one that will remain with me for many years ahead

Wow! This was a 5 star experience. Our guide Greg Duvall was extremely knowledgeable, patient and accommodating. His wealth of information of the region far exceeded our expectations and his story telling was captivating. As we drove to a village Greg gave us the historic summary which helped us appreciate our experience even more. Best tour we’ve taken!

Through A la Francaise I signed up for the Luberon Market & Villages tour when I was staying in Aix en Provence. A full day from 09.00 till 19.00hrs. We visited one huge market and five authentic villages near Aix. If you want to get out of the city for a day you really should book this tour!
Our guide Greg spoke very well English and with lots of information and humor guided us through the area of Luberon. Beautiful little villages that throw you back a couple of ages. All with different characteristics and ambiance. The market in Isle sur la Sorgue was huge and crowded, but you could easily escape into the more quiet streets. In each village we had about 30 to 90 minutes to look around depending on size and attractions. Group sizes are small (I think max 6-8) so there's plenty of time for questions and it's easy to discuss with eachother on how much time everybody needs in a particular village. You travel in a small van so you are dropped of and picked up in the centre of the villages. And yes, you are tired at the end of the day but you saw and experienced a lot too. Great day!

The trip on the Luberon valley was great! With our super guide Florence we visited several magnificent villages, among the most beautiful in France and the source of the Sorgue river. We spent a day far from the rush of Paris, in places where the time has stopped, calm and beautiful, rich in history. Even if we were visiting in January, without the nice smell of the lavenders fields, and with most shops closed, we could benefit from these places without the tourists crowds. The local market is a nice place to get honey and local biscuits to bring home.
It was a great experience which we highly recommend!

This tour is awesome to see the pittoresque villages of Luberon, a must do in Provence! The market in L'Isle-sur-Sorgue on Sunday is pretty nice, also check the small boutiques apart from the market. Roussillon with the typical ocre coulors gives you a glimp of Cézanne art and the lavender ice cream is gorgeous. I particularly liked Lourmarin, which has a lot of charme. I would definitely recommend this tour!

Wonderful day trip to visit some absolutely beautiful picturesque villages across the Luberon region. The group size was 8 which was not too big for the trip. Air conditioned van with a com system with a speaker so everyone can hear. Our guide Coline gave great insightful context, history, and legend background to each village we visited. Everyone had a great time. We walked over 7 miles so wear comfortable shoes, clothing.

This tour was a great and convenient way to see some of the small villages in Provence in a day. You get a good amount of free time at each stop so you can explore on your own. Our guide Adrien was a great host and very helpful with all his recommendations in each stop.
