Her english was good but at times she was hard to hear because her microphone was not well placed. We would do it again.Written 21 September 2024
- A151CLdanielk0 contributionsUnbelievably beautiful lavender fields and well worth the money. My wife was really interested in visiting the Provence area during lavender season, me not so much. That all changed during the tour. I simply couldn't get enough of the unbelievably beauty lavender fields that we were taken to. Simply stunning and photos in general simply do not do them justice. Our guide, Nicholas from Bonjour Provence Tours in Aix-en-Provence was outstanding. Nicholas was friendly, helpful and always available to take those priceless photos. Nicholas also knew where to take us to lavender fields that were a little off the beaten trail and away from the hordes of other tourist. To top it off, Nicholas definitely went above and beyond to let us experience as many lavender fields as we could prior to the sunsetting. The only drawback to this tour was the van was a bit old and the air conditioning was not great. A bigger drawback was our visit to the town of Valensole. When we arrived in Valensole, there were virtually no options to grab something to eat and only one place was open to have a glass of wine. The town definitely is missing out on the tourist money as it was readily apparent they could careless if we were there or not. My recommendation to people taking the tour is bring your own food and for Bonjour Provence Tours to reduce the amount of time spent in Valensole from 45 minutes to say 15-20 minutes. Overall this was a great tour. The star of the show was the lavender fields. They lived up to their hype and more. Thanks for a great tour Nicholas and Bonjour Provence.Written 9 July 2024
- millieandlily0 contributionsLavender is gorgeousThe lavender fields were gorgeous, and we got to see several different fields and spend some time taking photos and soaking up the experience. And it was especially beautiful in the latter part of the day with the afternoon and evening light. It will harvested soon , so I was very happy I got to see them. Otherwise, Our tour guide was running late to pick us up at the meeting point. There was no real “guiding” or sharing information with us about the area and the history; it was really just the transport and a means to an end to see the lavender. So in that regards, it was worth it. Also, take some food with you and don’t rely on being able to grab something along the way.Written 5 July 2024

- 338arlenef0 contributionsEnjoyable dayA full day tour learning about Van Gogh and visiting places where he painted and where he was incarcerated for mental issues. A very good overview of part of his life brought to life by our guide Marlin. We were dropped off in Avignon to see the popes palace and the famous unfinished bridge. Thoroughly enjoyed the day and would recommend this tour to friends.Written 7 October 2023

- Dian Adriani J0 contributionsWonderful relaxing morning in the ProvenceWe met with Clemence at the meeting point near the rondelle close to Cours Mirabeau, then he drove us with the other guests (some already in the car from Marseille) towards the family owned Lavender store near their field. Here, the owned explained in french, which then Clemence translated, the difference between “Lavande” and “Lavandin”, the plant “imortelle” and their particular beneficial properties. They had a charming shop, I bought essential oils and soaps. Afterwards, he drove us to the lavender fields. It’s one of those experiences that one has to be there to understand the beauty. The fields he took us to was calm and beautiful. He picked a spot where there were not too many tourists, so we can take awesome pictures. There were rows and rows of fully blooming lavender. The whole scenery is like a postcard, but better, because of the pleasant lavender scent that surrounds us, and the faint sound of buzzing bees which I found strangely calming. The bees did not attack at all, they were busy going from flower to flower. He also took as to another lavender field, which was equally mesmerizing. It was a hot day, so I suggest bring a hat, a bottle of water and a fan. Then Clemence took us to a lovely small town, Valensole. We stopped there for a short time to explore and then he drove us back to the city. Clem was very nice, he explained everything fluently and making sure we’re comfortable. We had a wonderful experience, thank you for showing us the beauty of the Provence.Written 13 July 2023

I spent 10 days in Aix en Provence and took a number of day tours but this day trip to the Luberon and its hilltop villages was the highlight of my stay. Sylvia was our driver and guide and was both knowledgeable and good company. He was accomodating and gave advice on local products and delicacies. Thank you Sylvia. It was a really special day.

Excellent way to see more of Provence, with each village offering something different. We went on a Sunday and visited the market is Isle-Sur-La-Sorgue first which we would highly recommend. Then on to see the source of the Sorgue river at Fontaine-de-Vaucluse, before seeing the villages of Gordes, Roussillon and Lourmarin. Good amount of time at each stop, and our guide Simon was knowledgeable and friendly.

Recently, April 2024, my wife and I took this Luberon Villages tour. Unfortunately it did rain during the morning, but it stopped by mid-day. Nevertheless, we had a very nice experience. Gino was very good, speaks several languages, and he is very knowledgeable.
No doubt, the Luberon Villages are great sights. We were particularly impressed with the beauty of Gordes and Rousillon. The cost was rather high, but we felt it was worth it. Our only objection was that with all the driving and moving, there was very little time to have something to eat during the way. The tour is essentially a full day.

My teenage friend and I signed up for this tour and we’re apprehensive at first because of the lack of reviews. We, of course, wanted to be safe! That said, it was nothing to be concerned about! There were 12 people on the tour in an air conditioned van! We had a wonderful Italian tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the areas and happy to answer any questions! He even made a pit stop at a lavender field which saved us from having to go on an additional tour! The luberon villages were the highlight of our two week trip. You really cannot go to Aix without going to them (and driving there seems to be a hassle due to the windy roads and difficulty parking. Definitely don’t take busses there as we found large wait times in getting around. It’s not really worth it) The tour was the perfect amount of time in each each village and a diverse areay of the different types of villages. Would recommend going on a Sunday because the market was amazing!! Worth the splurge! Definitely do a tour of luberon and this one was wonderful!

We toured with Hello Providence Tours on a previous visit to Aix-en-Provence and were delighted - it was an easy choice to book with them again. They did not disappoint. Our guide Marlon provided exceptional service, was very knowledgeable, was very fluent in English and made the entire day a very pleasurable experience. We will be back and will book another of the tours the next time.

We did a private all day tour with Silvio. It was pricey, but time is money and we felt it was worth it to have someone who knew exactly where to go and what to see (and we maximized our time because we didn't have to find parking places!). We were able to see so many places in such a short time, yet did not too rushed and had a bit of flexibility and autonomy in choosing the schedule for the day. In each village, Silvio told us the approximate amount of time we would have in order to keep the schedule we wanted. We were able to see 5 villages: L’isle de Sorgue, Fontaine de vaucluse, gordes, roussillion, and lourmarin. We didnt do a deep dive in any, yet still had time to walkto the waterfalls, go to the markets in gordes, hike the ochre trail, sit for an hour to eat a pizza and stroll through lourmarin. We finished knowing the places we want to return to someday. We left at 8:30 and returned at 5:30. Silvio was prompt, professional, informative and very knowledgeable about the area. Plus he was an efficient and SAFE driver. Also, we needed a ride from Aix to Marsaille airport the following day, so his colleague Paul picked us up. Once again, he was prompt and very helpful to make sure we arrived in time at the proper terminal. Thank you Silvio and Paul! Highly recommend this company!

Wonderful, beautiful tour of charming villages of Provence. Our guide (sorry not to remember her name) - was knowledgeable and passionate about the area and history. This was a great tour when you dont have a car or dont want to navigate yourself and if you have limited time. The villages were so beautiful and picturesque. It was a great day and exactly as expected. Highly recommend.

Our day started with great excitement for our first ever excursion to the Luberon with our private guide Paul. The views and sights were breathtaking and charming from the ochre cliffs of Roussillon to antiquing in L’ Isle Sur la Sorgue. Paul is a great guide easy with a smile, knowledgeable and inquisitive. The conversations were easy as he explained in detail all the sights and walked and talked with us as friends. We were guided through the bustling markets where we bought the most fragrant lavender in all of France. He took us to a surprise lavender field along the way to our next town. Paul was eager to learn from us as we were to learn from him in experiencing a most glorious day. We would enjoy an excursion with him anytime.

This itinerary is exactly what I wanted to see and experience the charming villages in Luberon. My guide Jenny was very gentle and kind. She provided good information on every place we visited. It was a lovely day and I highly recommend this tour if you want to see Luberon but did not want to drive. It was a done in a leisurely pace but we still saw a lot. Thank you Jenny.
