    Great tour with Inga!
We had a great tour with Inga! We had just arrived the night before, and she was so welcoming, friendly and helped us to get oriented in Aix. She also gave us a restaurant recommendation which we used the next day! Great way to start a visit in Provence.

Foodie tour of Aix with Inga
We met Inga by the Paul Cezanne statue armed with our comfy shoes and stretchiest waistbands. Inga was super friendly, warm and welcoming and clearly has a great relationship with all the places we visited. The food was all amazing and we were thoroughly stuffed by the end. Always nice to be on foot and see some more of the city as well.

    A Wonderful Tour!
We have taken food tours around the world and this was exceptional! Our guide Inga was what we had hoped for…a knowledgeable local who was also personable and fun to be with who provided us with a fabulous 3+ hour food tasting experience. We had taken another food tour in Marseille a few days prior to this tour with Inga as our guide, and she was so good that we requested her again for this tour. We highly recommend this tour and Inga!!!

    Fun in Aix-en-Provence with food.
Enjoyed our food tour this morning with Inga. It was just the right amount of time and was well planned. We went fron truffles to charcuterie to lunch sandwiches to dessert. Wine and coffee were included and was gladly consumed. A fun time was had by all. Highly recommend. Thanks, Inga.

A quality tour - highly recommend!
Inga was an absolute delight of a tour guide. She was informative, took everything at our own pace and made sure we had everything we wanted. She went above and beyond, giving us recommendations for the area and how best to get around too. The tour itself was fantastic quality, we left stuffed after tasting some great food at four different stops. Would 100% recommend.

    Aix—December 2022
The entire tour was amazing but the lunch we had in Aix as part of the experience was amazing. Inga was the perfect host/ guide and took a very personable approach to showing us many of the culinary delights in Aix. I would highly recommend requesting her by name.

    Food Lover's Delight
I wish we could give Inga more than 5 stars. Our food tour was a real highlight of Aix. Inga has an insider's knowledge of Aix and a wonderful personality to share. It was like visiting a friend from days gone by. The pace was perfect. We would recommend this tour, with Inga, to all of our friends .

We were part of a group of 11 people from Canada, the UK, and the USA. Our guide, Inga, is a transplant from the North of Scotland to the South of France, and she could not have been more friendly, knowledgeable, or accommodating. This was our second experience with Do Eat Better tours, and we are looking forward to the next one. The food stops were delicious and an interesting cross-section of the local cuisine, but the entire experience was such a lovely way to get to know more about the charming City of Aix.

My husband and I really enjoyed this food tour with Anouk. Anouk is very knowledgeable with the history of Aix so we really got to appreciate the sights that we saw while waking around the city to go to our food stops. The food we had were all good and filling! I really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it to everyone who will be visiting Aix.

Inga was a wonderful host for the day and was especially concerned about our allergies. Inga went out of her way to make sure that we had "safe" food at each stop and that everyone was happy. She engaged with all 4 of us, French and English but did not stay in one language too long. I have been on bilingual tours where I couldn't understand what was being said for long periods of time. She pivoted quickly when one stop was closed and took it upon herself to get the shop open so we could have our food. Very knowledgeable about the food scene in Aix and gave us many recommendations for restaurants we wanted for the rest of our stay.

Inga was bubbly, engaging and fun.

Do not book this tour. The tour guide was very nice but gave more information about her many jobs than the food or context for the food culture in Aix. Beyond that, it didn’t give a good sense of the city and we just walked in circles. It felt like a lot of the tour was filler.

First stop was a truffle store, where the bite was an advertisement to buy food. Second was charcuterie, wine and cheese- all perfectly fine but hardly explained. Next was a tourist spot for a croque followed by pastry. Save your money and try food on your own- you’d get more information asking the people working at the restaurants about their food than you will on this tour.

Thank you for your feedback, which we appreciate and will certainly consider. I’d like to address a few points to clarify some aspects of our tour. Firstly, the guide who accompanied you is a chef with 15 years of experience in Aix and is well-regarded by both our partners and customers. Her extensive background provides a deep understanding of the region’s culinary culture. Regarding the stops on the tour, we believe they offer a true reflection of local life and cuisine, and I assure you that these are not typical tourist spots. We strive to offer an authentic experience and showcase local produce that you might not discover on your own. If you’re confident in your French language skills, you might enjoy exploring and organizing your own food tour in the future. Thank you again for your feedback and for giving us the opportunity to address your concerns.

This was the best food tour! I would definitely recommend booking this. Everything was communicated very clearly, easy to find the meeting location which was right in the main area of town, and the tour company sent us a picture of our guide so we knew who to look for. My friend and I had a wonderful experience with our tour guide Inga! She was upbeat and created a very friendly atmosphere, kept the conversation flowing as we got to know our fellow travelers. The tour size was good, only four people - nice to get to meet people but not being in a big unwieldy group. The restaurants that were chosen were delicious and the food was ready as soon as we arrived so there were no long waits. At the same time the tour was very unhurried and we were able to have lovely conversation and finish our food and complimentary wine without feeling rushed. They were able to accommodate food preferences, as there was one gentleman on our tour that was not a fan of truffle so the restaurant provided something else for him to enjoy. We had a great time and would do it again!

Anouk was an engaging, informative guide on this delicious tour of some of the best and most typical food and drink specialties of Aix-en-Provence. She was always attentive to the stories and preferences of the group. Engagement with the vendors was amiable, and the products were of highest quality.

We would highly recommend this tour to anyone!

We shared a lovely afternoon with our guide Anouk and another couple from the U.S. We always take a walking food/city tour when we travel, and this was no exception. Even though it was a rainy and windy day, we enjoyed our tour of the Old City with stops to learn about Truffles, sample cheese and meats, enjoy a delicious main course sandwich with fries and salad, and then ending with stops at a patisserie and candy store...you will not walk away hungry.
As we walked through the city, Anouk shared information about the city and its history which we found interesting and informative. Thank you Anouk!

We loved our Aix en Provence food tour with Inga yesterday! The group was small which was perfect since we had our baby with us. The meeting point was very easy to find too. It was market day so as we walked around Aix we checked out all the stalls. Our first stop was an artisanal truffle shop, followed by delicious cheese and charcuterie with wine at an épicerie located on a square that was great for people watching. Lunch was on a secret terrace and we finished the tour with patisserie. Inga made the tour relaxed and we didn’t feel rushed so we really enjoyed our day. She talked about Provence and shared her knowledge about Aix. Inga is a chef and embodies the bon vivant lifestyle- we highly recommend booking a tour with her, especially if you are traveling with young kiddos-she is the best!

Just a really wonderful experience. We’d never been to Aix en Provence and with just a few hours to spare as we were on a cruise, we wanted to make the most of our time, and this couldn’t have been a better way to do that.
We met our lovely tour guide Inga who made all of us feel welcome immediately and off we went.
As promised we visited four different places where we had something to eat , but what made the tour so memorable was the way that Inga patiently kept our whole group together, engaged and interested as we wove our way through the beautiful streets in between each stop.
The food itself was just wonderful and gave us the perfect taste of what this very special place has to offer.
By the time we’d finished with a treat of choice from a beautiful patisserie, we’d all eaten more than we thought possible, drank as much as we possibly could, and were still wishing we could have spent several more days in Inga’s company, learning about life in Provence. My husband and I can’t wait to go back to do it all again as soon as possible.

This is not just a food tour, it is a food and history tour. I recommend you do this tour on your first day in Aix Au Provence - you will then know the best streets to eat in and the places to visit. We had Anouk as our guide and she was such a delight. She is a foodie and also knows the history of the region so well. When booking the tour, we thought we would have some nibbles at different places. We had an apertif, main course and dessert. We were so full after the tour. It was a really hot day and Anouk took time to make sure we walked at an appropriate pace and in the shade. She is one of the best tour guides we have had.
