      Well spent 2 hours!
Thoroughly enjoyed the trip with Olivier, our guide. His enthusiasm and obvious pride in his corner of la belle France was infectious. We learned so much about the Camargue region, the customs, traditions, animals. The Rover was perfect. Highly recommend!

      Too many Bulls-Not Enough Sea
Fantastic trip to get to see places in the Camargue. Our guide Johannes was very knowledgeable about the history, animals, and landscape in the Camargue. Would have liked to spend more than 30 minutes in Saintes-Maries de la Mer. Too much time spent on the agricultural/conservation aspects (being from farming families and living in farming/ranching communities, we were already familiar with these issues) and not enough time on the wildlife and the sea. Range Rover was a great vehicle to get through the backroads and it had an open top for optimum viewing.

A Perfect Morning in the Camargue!
A small group of us were on a Rhone riverboat cruise, and we didn’t feel up to taking the cruise’s all-day bus tour of the Camargue area with lots of walking and standing (in my case I had a badly sprained ankle). So we booked a four hour 4X4 with an English-speaking driver/guide. Everything was fabulous, especially our very knowledgable guide, Flavio. Except for the stop in Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer we were able to avoid all the crowded tourist stops, travel the back roads (many of which were dirt roads) to see and learn about the many farms, ranches, estuaries, ponds, lakes, marshes, rice paddies, and animals without having to take lengthy walks.

      Excellent experience in the Alpilles
Always excellent. I’ve done the Alpiles tour three times (each time a friend comes to visit me in Arles). Beautiful part of Provence that can only be accessed if you have a vehicle. Flavio creates a very well informed experience. I highly recommend this tour!

Too long and a little dull
This tour was underwhelming. The guide was enthusiastic and friendly, but 4 hours was far too long. We saw: rice fields, a distant pond with flamingos (lovely for 10 minutes), plenty of white horses (also pretty for a few minutes of viewing), and some fields of grazing bulls. The stop in the town was silly and not worth it - it was a charmless town filled with tourist shops. the guide left us to wander without explanation. one additional challenge was the Jeep - both women in the back (average height) had their central view blocked by the thick jeep frame. Unless they hunched to see under it. They could only see sky and ground,

      Excellent tour by wonderful guide
This was a really nice tour of the Alpilles. We enjoyed seeing so many sites without having to navigate the roads ourselves. Our guide was very knowledgeable and shared a lot of regional details. Highly recommend.

      Definitely a highlight
What a great day! Dorian was an attentive and thorough tour guide! We really enjoyed all we saw and he was so flexible since we had trouble finding parking in Arles due to the Saturday market. Saw flamingos, bulls, and Camargue horses. The visit to Saintes-Maries-de la Mer was a highlight!

      Amazing experience in Camargue
We had an amazing visit of Camargue today with Safaris Camargue Alpilles. Big thanks to our guide, Gerald, who gave us an amazing, passionate, informative 4 hours tour on company's safari car. The views, the stories, the weather, everything was perfect. It is also worth to mention that the company was prudent about the hygiene during the tour (sanitized car, face mask on guide). I would also like to thank the Office de Tourisme d'Arles for helping us to quickly organize our Camargue visit. Definitely recommend taking the tour! Grand merci!

      Very interesting!
We had a very nice time, they took us around with the 4x4 looking for the local nature beauties. The include a 1 hour long stopo at lunch time in the region Capital, so that well done. The guide was very nice and explained lots of interesting things.

Absolutely Fantastic, Fascinating & Fun - A Real Must Do
We travel a lot, we know France pretty well, we always have a car to use and I read and digest every guide book I can get my hands on (Yes - I am that sad!). We never take organised tours, as we reckon we can have a better experience if we work it out ourself and have normally been proven right in thinking that. But this is different and - in my opinion - this is unique. We were staying with French friends in a part of France we know really quite well and we had access to our own 4x4. But there was no way that we could have created this fascinating tour alone - even with the 5 books we had! Michel so cleary knows and loves this unique landscape and it is absolutley fascinating to hear him tell its story with such real passion and expertise. Maybe no surprise that 2 fifty somethings were fascinated by this - but three teenagers were equally entharlled and we all concluded that this was an absolutley brilliant tour - informative and fun in equal measure. Thank you to all involved.

      Complete Carmague
Superb half day trip to discover all that the Camargue region has to offer. Departing from the beautiful, historic city of Arles at 0900 in a 4 x 4 with a dedicated English speaking guide you head directly into the Camargue region to explore all the wildlife and fauna the region has to offer. You encounter the white horses of Carmague, the bulls and the flamingos as well as a wide variety of bird life. Our guide Sandrine (Sandy) was faultless in her English, her local knowledge and her pacing of the tour. Utterly faultless. Arrive back in Arles at 1300 in time to explore the vast riches the town has to offer. A mention must go to Manon in the office who had to put with an incompetent Englishman booking a tour on the wrong day. She dealt with it immediately and competently without question or delay. Would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone holidaying en Provence.

      Michael is fantastic!
Spent roughly five hours with Michael as guide and driver in a very fine 4WD vehicle. His English is excellent and he loves interaction so please, “speak with the driver!” We did have a 3-year-old with his parents along as well as a charming couple and I suggest avoiding a tour with children as there might be too much time spent on their attention, i.e., we would have preferred ‘adults only‘ (and as father of four boys I‘m not against children). Michael has a lot to offer sharing this unique corner of the world. The subject matter is likely above small children‘s interest I think.

      Excellent
We took the morning trip and was blown away by what we saw. Our guide Marcel was so knowledgeable about the area and also very in tune with the ethos and nature of the Camargue. Highly recommend this tour. A huge thank you by the way to Marcel for making our trip such a wonderful experience..

      Great trip!
I took the 4 hour morning tour thru the Camargue. We saw lots of wild horses, flamingos, bulls and rice fields. I loved that we were in a 4WD Jeep and could go off road. I also really enjoyed the beach side town we stopped in. And I felt like the price was very reasonable for what all you get to see. I’d highly recommend this tour.

Unfortunately they didn't offer an English tour at 9:00 but I took it anyway because it was offered at 2 pm and it would have been too hot! They use Land Rovers which accomodate 6 people+driver: 2 behind drivers and 4 in the back. We arrived early and claimed the seats behind driver (recommended). The guide was very knowledgeable and explained all the traditions in great detail. We stopped to pet the white horses of Camargue, we visited Camargue and Spanish bulls, a small village (St. Maire) and the flamingos. The tour took a little longer then expected but it was very enjoyable. The vehicle has an open roof from which we could take photos or admire the scenery.

This was a great experience and definitely the highlight of our stay in Arles. The company has a specific route which took us to the best viewing spots, giving us a taste of some of the best things the Camargue offers. We travelled in a Land Rover Denfender at 6 (+guide) with everyone wearing masks, which felt very good, with the wind in our hair and still feeling safe. The company also hires really good guides/drivers. Julien, our driver and guide, was really nice and such a pleasant company. He is very knowledgeable of the area, the fauna and the flora. He had the background for everything we saw and he also answered all our extra questions. He also adapted to our wishes, when we saw a flock of flamingos flying by, he made sure we got the best view and photo. Being a local, he also has good recommendations for what is going on in the city, shows, food, etc. Thank you for the great experience!

    Excellent tour!

If you stay in Arles, without a car, visiting the vast area of camargue can be complicated. It's too big to hike around in 1 day... The safari tour is a great solution!
The guide, Michel, did an excellent job introducing (English) the area and its unique background. We also appreciated the jeep was equipped with a child booster. We all felt it was a good bang for our buck.

Reception from the driver-guide rather cold and asking us for immediate payment before opening the door, while reproaching us for the pick-up location although it was well agreed with the reservations department. Then he uncovered the vehicle to improve the photo opportunities, but he did not re-cover the road leading to Saintes Maries, and we froze!!! we had to insist on being warm. As for his kindness to the elderly, there are still efforts to be made (getting in and out of the vehicle, offering for a lady with mobility difficulties to get in in front and in the shelter.) Furthermore, I point out that the rear seats are not do not have a working safety belt, that the rubber roof trim is held in place by cable ties which scratch your head or body...in short, avoid this type of visit to the Camargue in winter because when you have cold we quickly become indifferent to the words of the guide who also did the job well with his comments. in conclusion a very uncomfortable ride in a worn vehicle!
I compared it with my safaris in New Caledonia, Polynesia, Spain and Tunisia, and I am really very disappointed with this service...

The trip started in front of the Best Western hotel in Arles at 09:00. We ordered an english speaking guide and we were lucky that we seemed to be the only persons who did so as the Land Rover Defender leftwith just both of us. So with plenty of space we followed a route for the next 4 hours, getting plenty of information and intermediate stops at some famous white horses which are famous for the Camargue region, many bulls, Flamingos at the lakes and at Saintes Maries de la Mer. We can definetely recommend to make such a safari as you will see places which can't just be reached by private cars. Some roads are only accessible by real offroad vehicles, not SUV toy cars! In fact, the time just flew by and those 4 hours felt just like one!

Excellent young male guide with good English. Initial gathering was a bit disorganised but once we got moving (four vehicles) the tour went well and the explanations about the animals and the region were very relevant and helpful.

The vehicle had trouble starting at one point apparently a reoccurring problem. The vehicle we were in was clearly in need of updating but didn't really have a negative impact on the tour.

The booking process was very poor for us for a few days while the on-line system wouldn't accept our payment via a debit card. While the support was plentiful it simply didn't resolve the issue or answer our questions around an alternative payment method i.e. cash at commencement or bank account number to make bank transfer prior to the tour.

Guide was very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot about the region. We had booked for 2pm to allow time for a slow walk through Arles to catch the last train to our hotel. We did not depart until 2:30 as the 2pm tour we booked through Trip Advisor did not exist. We were disappointed that not an attempt had been made to inform us. The transport for us was not comfortable. 3 adults in the back of a Land Rover with side facing seats which were torn. The other 4 guests had much better seats. We saw bulls, horses and flamingoes and the commentary was very good. Long passages of driving with nothing to see from our position. On the tracks I was able to stand due to the open roof to get a better view but not all in the rear could do so. The guide very kindly took us to the station for our train as we were on a later tour than we had booked.

The trip was outstanding as always, Michel was a passionate guide who shared his love and respect of the Camargue with us beautifully. Local knowledge is vital to understanding this region and this half day trip is absolutely the way to go. It's my fourth trip and each time it's a little different because of the guides. I give the company and the content 5 stars!!!

I really enjoyed this safari. We had a local as a guide. Her English was really good 👍 and we learned so much about the area and the people. We saw many animals, birds, horses, bulls, etc. It’s great that this area has been preserved and not commercialized, allowing us to enjoy the diversity!

Great host/driver who spoke decent English and was very warm and accommodating. As soon as the rain stopped he rolled back the roof and we stood in the back so we could see better and take photos etc. We stopped off at various points of interest and it was a worthwhile, fun experience where we learned something.
