- Michele4650 contributionsSkip the Ferry Ride To St Tropez from Nice and Forget St Tropez Altogether. Not Worth Visiting.Although it was only overcast on the day, our ferry ride was very choppy and people were feeling sick. They offered us vomit bags so that was good but when I booked I was imagining a lovely scenic view along the famous Cote d'Azur coast over a 2.5 hour boat ride to St Tropez so I could see more of the coast as part of my holiday. There were no views as we mostly saw land occasionally at a distance on the water. The ferry was very noisy all the way so that didn't help. As we arrived on a Thursday we couldn't see the Butterfly Museum which is closed Thursdays and the Street Market only operates Tuesdays and Saturdays so that diminished the amount of things to see but I did enjoy the Annonciade Museum though did not enjoy inside the boring historical Maritime Museum of Citadelle de St Tropez though the views were good there. I'm from Australia where we have plenty of gigantic soft sand beaches and the piddly little beaches at St Tropez harbour were embarrassingly small. You can't call that a beach! All the cafes along the wharf were expectedly expensive. I didn't understand the attraction of St Tropez and I wished I hadn't wasted one full day of my holidays using a 5 hour return choppy unpleasant ferry ride to a place I didn't care for and wouldn't return to. I should have instead visited Eze and Antibes and Monaco on a day tour with a tour guide and van. I should have read the reviews here before booking so be warned, it isn't that great to take a long ferry ride to St Tropez from Nice, spend a few hours there and come back. Spend your time more wisely enjoying the French Riviera elsewhere.Written 30 October 2024
- LivesInABubble0 contributionsReasonably priced boat tripVery informative guide in both English and French with a bit of humour. Great views and not too choppy! Got to see where the millionaires live.Written 5 October 2024
- 808viviennei0 contributionsFabulous tour!It was fantastic! The sea was quite rough after storms the previous day but the captain and crew were great. Some of us got a little wet but it was OK... there was a lot of laughing about the ride. The scenery was incredible and the information given was fantastic. We thoroughly enjoyed this tour.Written 29 September 2024

- 460mauriceh0 contributionsWell worth the cost for a delightful experience.Great boat ride with commentary on all the interesting sites. Need to sit near a speaker to hear well, but worth it for the story and history. Bright sunny cool day in September. Great for a cruise.Written 24 September 2024
- tanyaw4020 contributionsnice but needs more signageA lovely ferry ride. Only issue is the lack of signage as to where to get tickets. There was no where with the company name on the ticket booth which was branded with a totally different company. i was confused as were many others which always ruins an overall experience.Written 12 September 2024
- W1852NVteresal0 contributionsHad a great time!Loved this trip and the commentary in both French and English was interesting and informative. The waves and spray were exhilarating and seeing the land from the bay gave us a new perspective. Being able to buy a glass of sparkling wine on board was the finishing touch to a very enjoyable hour-long trip.Written 8 September 2024
- brucek5630 contributionsEven if you are on-time they will leave you behindThe 3 of us arrived at the dock at exactly 3 pm on my I phone. The boat was still tied to the dock but the gangway was already up. The crew refused to let us on. I contacted the operator twice and have not been messaged back.Written 7 September 2024
- NinaMascha0 contributionsLovely TripWe booked the tour a day in advance and loved it very much! The guide showed great expertise in English and French and gave some interesting insight into the landscape. It was a really hot day so we enjoyed being on the water with some wind. The seating area on deck has great views but minimal shadow. If you are very sensitive to the sun like me I recommend bringing a hat or umbrella as sun protection. We enjoyed the trip greatly!Written 6 September 2024
- dimuu0 contributionsExpensive way to St Tropez for just a few hoursBoat ride from Nice to St. Tropez from 9 AM to 7 PM, where you arrived around 12 PM and take the boat back at 4.30 PM. So you only have like 4 hours max in St Tropez and you pay 78 EUR for a round trip, that's expensive if you don't even have a half day to spend there and the round trip is for the same day, you can't take the way back on another day. On Tuesdays you have a central market, so you are already strolling through the market for 1 hour, then you only have 3 hours left to see some of the village, which is not enough. Of course I went back there and found a cheaper way. Just take the train to St Raphael for around 20 EUR round trip and there you take the boat to St Tropez with Les Bateaux Blues for 42 EUR a round trip and you decide your return date and time.Written 4 September 2024

- Yardyboy0 contributionsAn excellent short boat sightseeing trip from the port of Niceexcellent short boat sightseeing trip from the port of Nice and well worth the 24 Euros!, collection of tickets very straight forward and we sat at the front of this lovely clean boat. Whole trip was 1 hour and no complaints what so ever. if you're looking for a short boat trip and your expectations are as such and are realistic about what you are going to see during a 1 hour round trip, then I can highly recommend this.Written 25 August 2024
- 40kene0 contributionsRipped offI don’t mind being a tourist and paying high prices every once in a while for things that would cost a lot less if you weren’t in the cote d’azure. But these guys take the cake. The trip was a short cruise along the coast, pleasant enough. In the middle of the cruise, they opened the bar, I bought a couple of beers for myself and another couple that was traveling with us for a total of 10 euros. Later they came forward to where we were sitting with what they said was the last bottle, (25 cl) of rosé champagne. I said sure, and when they poured the two glasses of champagne, I pulled out of 10 and he said “oh no, for champagne it’s €25.” I thought that was outrageous but I gave him a 50 and he came back and gave me five Euro’s change. I thought he was going to go back to the bar and give me the extra 20 that I was owed, but he never did. Not wanting to make a scene in front of ourguests, I determined to just get my revenge by leaving them this review. They even had the nerve to stand at the end of the gangway and ask for tips. I looked at them and told them, “f$@! you.” Please be careful of these literal pirates at sea.Written 25 August 2024

This was a great way to travel to spend the day in Monaco
The boat was spotless and the skill of the captain and crew was immediately evident when leaving the quai and also, when mooring on arrival.
The crew were friendly and professional and took great care in ensuring the safety of their passengers-helping those who were less steady to move around the boat ,embark/disembark etc.
The commentary on the return trip was relaxed and informative and a nice addition to the trip.
Would recommend this as a pleasant alternative option to get to Monaco rather than train or bus
Thank you

Very friendly crew! Lovely boat ride in the warm weather. On the way back the tour guide gave us lots of interesting and fascinating information about the places we passed on the coast line, and also some about the yachts we passed. The tour guide spoke first in French and then repeated everything in perfect English, he was both funny and knowledgeable! Would recommend going on tour with this company!

I absolutely adored this trip! I was between taking the train or the ferry and I’m glad I went with the ferry, much better views. It was about a 35-45 minute cruise to get there and on the boat there are restrooms and a small bar with beer and soft drinks as well as chips ($). They dropped us off at port and let us roam free from 945am-445pm. I went to Monaco/ Monte Carlo were I ate food and walked around (you can find more reviews on my Instagram or yelp!) When they picked us up the trip back was 45-hour long because they gave us a little tour of the coast from Monaco to Nice. They showed us the aquarium, princes palace, the prison, yacht club and homes of famous people like Elton John!!! Overall would book again! Highly recommend!

The trip was really rough and we had to hold on tight. The boat went fast it was not a relaxing trip. My son had to throw up as well as other guests....
The whole purpose of taking this trip was to see the famous Monaco harbour from the sea. To see the famous coastline. It turned out that we entered a small harbour port de fontveille situated just before the famous harbour. When we were waiting for the last turn to see the famous harbour, we suddenly turned to the small harbour.
So we did not get to see monaco from the sea, really disappointing.
We decided to skip the return trip and took the train to Nice....

Great new boat. Plenty of space onboard. Get there 30mins before scheduled time if you want to be at front of queue with max seat choices
35min to Monaco and 1hr return stopping for some commentary of sights on the route
Note that Monaco drop off isn’t in main harbour, but but in port de fontvielle, not a problem

WARNING - Suggest you book with another cruise company if possible.
Booked and paid for a cruise before we left Australia on our holiday with "Cruise to Monaco" and arrived this morning half an hour early as requested only to be informed that the cruise had been cancelled.
The staff on the ticket counter were less than helpful and provided no reason for the cancellation and when asked about a refund simply said we would need to contact Tripadvisor to arrange it

Went on this trip on 15/09/2018, the boat was great and very busy, not many English but loads of Germans arrived, who immediately boarded the boat and did not queue !!,
The trip took around 40 minutes to Monaco, You dock near the old town then go up a flight of steps to the old town, a nice walk around the old town then we went on a land bus to visit the rest of the area for 10 euros and was well worth it,
Make sure you visit the Motoring Museum , well worth the money and loads of F1 cars are on show.
Arrived back at the dock by 430pm , boat leaves at 5.00pm, with or without you !!
The Germans did not return in time !!!!!!!!!!

We really enjoyed this cruise to Monaco. The ship was clean and the crew were helpful and friendly. Beautiful views and plenty of time to see how the other half live in Monaco. Amazing!! The slower trip back was lovely and the crew member who pointed out the various points of interest did a good job. I agree with other reviews here that mentioned the crazy scramble to get on board. Obviously everyone wants to be outside to enjoy the sun and the views but because there was no proper queue on the Monaco side, it was a mess. At the Nice side there was a queue and my family and I ended up inside the ship. This was fine but I decided to return early to get a place outside for the return journey. There were three people waiting before me but we were actually pushed out of the way by people who just forced themselves to the front when the ship docked. It appears that good manners are a thing of the past but this could have been avoided if a crew member was there to ensure people queued in an orderly/safe fashion. I think the trip is good value but seriously diminished by poor organisation on the quayside.

Had to wait for 45 minutes in hot sun before cruise boat departed. Passengers were cutting in waiting line and crowding into the gangway to get on to the vessel. All could have been avoided by on-site cruise member to control. Bad start to cruise.

Hello,
I am interested in booking this exciting tour but unfortunately there is no availability for the 27th of March
Is there any possibility of being added if it is only me or what likelihood is there of a cancellation?
I am travelling alone and I was looking forward to it :(
Thanks in advance,
Sanad

2 questions. There looks to be several reviews highlighting the lack of controlling people that rudely pushed in front of people onboard and little to no control over the que getting onboard. Is more staff being added to handle that issue, or what is being done to improve poor boarding and long que lines for departures and returns? Also if our cruise ship arrives in Nice at 9am into the harbor should we be ok if we rush to make the 9:30am departure?
Written 1 October 2019
While I highlighted the lack of control I don’t know if anything is being done to rectify it. In order to get a seat outside to enjoy the amazing view I would suggest arriving as early as possible to the harbour. It’s well worth taking the cruise, a little bit of work by the operator would make it better. Hope this helps and you enjoy your trip
