Sarah impressed us right from the start with her warm manner and her extensive knowledge of the history of the castle and the region. She told us about the castle's beginnings in the 13th century, the different architectural styles it has undergone over the centuries and the historical figures who have lived there. The stories about the destruction and reconstruction that the castle has undergone were particularly fascinating. We learnt much more about the castle than we could have imagined. We can only highly recommend Sarah and will certainly choose her to accompany us again on another visit to Heidelberg.

Really fantastic tour. We arrived knowing very little of Heidelberg and Sarah, our guide, filled us with so much information. She is very knowledgeable of this city and expertly shared information about this city and its history. Sarah was able to tell us stories of Heidelberg one does not find in a tour book. Sarah guided me in a snowy Sunday through the city and the exceptional castle of Heidelberg. I can only say she is so pleasant and informative that time passes by without noticing it. She did not just mentioned names and dates that no one can remember at the end but the most important: she connects all the facts and bring them to life by relate them to our modern time. We took the guided tour of Heidelberg Castle by ETS travel booked through Expedia. This was a half day tour, we started at 9:30am and were back by 3:00pm. This tour was in English language, guide was excellent, she guided us through the each step, and was very knowledgeable. Problem we had was that she soft spoken and I had a hard time hearing her and her German Accent. Over all tour was great.
