About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Kayellencs0 contributionsHop on Hop offThis was terrible tour. If you don’t speak German they will give you a headset for English. However they want your passport or picture ID for it. We would never give up our passport so we handed over our drivers license. We were not told this when we purchased the tickets otherwise we would have declined this tour. Now, the worst part of this tour is that the person who is speaking over their PA is shouting. You can not hear the English speaking person over your headset. It was so bad that we had to take our headsets off and plug our ears. We asked her to lower her voice and it got worse. I am hard of hearing and it was horrible. I have no idea as to what was said or what we saw because we could understand any of this. We have been on numerous tours like this and they are usually great and enjoyable. Not this one.Written 11 December 2019
- RedondoSurferDude0 contributionsGood Intro to NurembergI knew almost nothing about Nuremberg and I wanted to learn more about the city. I thought this bus tour did a great job. I learned something about the historical significance of the city and was able to see many of the important sites. It is a hop-on-hop-off tour. But, I did not actually get off at any of the sites. I decided to see the whole city in one go and come back later to the parts I thought were interesting. The live commentary is only in German. So, I opted for the headphones. It was advertised as a GPS Audioguide and I was a bit skeptical at first. But, they worked amazingly well. On the headphones is a GPS device and when you get close to an important site, it automatically triggers an English explanation. Normally, the explanation ends just as you arrive at the point of interest and you can then see it, knowing what you are looking at. Brilliant, really. The whole tour takes about 2 hours if you don‘t get off. If you get off, the next bus doesn‘t come for an hour. So plan accordingly. I recommend it.Written 29 April 2019

On a somewhat rainy day, I took the yellow double-decker bus through Nuremberg, starting from the main station, to get an overview of the Franconian metropolis once again. The bus driver gave me a lift, even though I only had cash with me, for which I was grateful.
The route led to all the main attractions of the city. The explanations were factual and sound. I was most impressed by the courts of the Nuremberg trials and the prisons behind them. The Reichsparteitag grounds made a rather dilapidated impression: after 90 years, history has run its course. The SS barracks became the seat of the US occupation force.
Of course, places in the nearby city center from earlier times were also visited. If you like, you can get on and off wherever you like. In driving terms, it is probably not quite easy to drive around the many people in certain places, such as where the Schöne Brunnen stands. Romantic views are available wherever the bus runs along or over the Pegnitz. One of my favorites, however, was the venerable St. John's Cemetery with its tombs and colorful floral decorations.
Anyway, my account of the trip even prompted my Nuremberg relatives to make the trip in the yellow biplane.

This was a great way to see the city and decide what you wanted to go back and do more thoroughly. We only had a couple of days in Nuremberg so we rode the complete route, only getting off one time, just to decide what to go back and see later. Headphones were available so you could hear the tour in English.

My hotel is located across the street from the old city, which is everything I wanted to see. Since I was interested in everything having to do with the third right and it’s history, I was able to see many sites that I only read about books. Everyone was friendly for the most part. Great food the weather was pretty good except for the last day where it rained, like it must’ve rained during Noah’ Ark! Really complain I had a good time.

Comprehensive tour of the city. Informative narration. Good way to decide which locations you want to explore further. Helpful staff. Bring your own earphones. The ones provided do not work well. There is a connection for each seat with multiple languages. We'll worth the time spent.

1st day, we gave up after waiting 45 mins at the main train station stop. 2nd day, window blew out, no replacement or apology. Were told first a replacement was coming at next stop. Ended up back at starting point with detours after two hours. Absolutely no customer service.

The tour itself was good, but we had trouble finding where to pick up the bus during the Christmas market period

This was well worth the money. Some of the places, like the Rally grounds, are tricky to get to on your own. Very good route and good prices

The city is lovely, lots to see and the people were very friendly. Meals were quite expensive but lots of places to eat.

Bus was on time.
Route exactly as described.
Definitely bring your own headphones to plug into unless you speak German.

I only see a start time of 11:00AM. Do you have to be there at 11:00 to start the tour? We are coming in for the day by train and are not sure we can get there at 11 unless we get up really early.

There are a lot of start times. I think the first tour leaves at 11. Then every hour another one leaves. There are a couple of companies that do bus tours. I went with the hop on/off one with red or yellow buses. They depart from just over the road from the station.
