    Amazing street art walking tour!
Absolute amazing walking tour; loved learning about Berlin's graffiti scene and seeing the city from a different perspective. Maike, an artist herself, is a great guide and Berlin insider. A highly recommend experience!

Quick tour of Berlin which suited our young family
We needed a quick tour of Berlin that would keep out two young children (11 & 8) engaged and this hit the spot. Our guide was informative and entertaining and moved quickly through Berlin’s history. Walking distance was also good for the children.

I highly recommend Natalie as a guide for anyone looking to understand more about this dark chapter in history. She is not only a knowledgeable historian but also a sensitive and compassionate human being. Thank you, Natalie, for an unforgettable and enlightening experience.

    Potsdam has a fascinating history
Our guide, Gregor, was quite well versed in the history of Potsdam and its builders. The various buildings are a bit meaningless without the narrative that our guide was able to give to us through photos, maps and his art history background. The groups was small and the train ride to and from was quick and easy. If you have an interest in the history of the Germany monarchy this is a worthwhile day.

    Amazing tour!
Great tour and a great guide! Even thought we got unlucky with rain our guide Rona helped keep the group’s spirits up and gave a very detailed and intruiging tour. 5 stars is not enough to describe it!

    Visit to Sachsenhausen Concentration Camp
We had a great time touring the concentration camp. Georgia was a fantastic guide. She was professional, knowledgeable & attentive to our needs. I especially appreciated the frequent toilet breaks that was carefully planned into the tour without disruption. I highly recommend this tour. Thanks Georgia for an enjoyable & educational tour.

    An important and powerful tour
Visiting Sachenhausen was an essential experience for me. It was quite shocking to see the industrial methods used to eliminate those imprisoned there. Realizing that you are riding along the same railroad that the prisoners were transported on, walking the same streets from the Orianenburg station to the camp, and passing houses that were initially built for SS officers was sobering. Most of the buildings at the camp are gone; however, the remaining few have been maintained. There are excellent museum displays in the camp kitchen barracks and other displays around the camp. The location of the execution pit and "Station Z" must be seen, as well as the pathology lab and body storage. Our guide, Jenny, was excellent. She was very knowledgeable and kept the tour moving. She also offered the option to stay and explore further on our own.

    Sachsenhausen informative tour
Great tour with very knowledgeable guide Georgia. Very kind, and organised. Clear with instructions and waited for all group to be there before speaking. Georgia knew huge amounts about Sachsenhausen, and she was able to answer questions well. She gave lprs of tips about Berlin generally including transport and shops for particular needs! I would highly recommend the tour. Jenne Australia

Not happy being left to fend for ourselves
Started out amazingly well, but went down hill quickly. After approximately 45 minutes, my husband and I were separated from the group and ended making our way to the castle by ourselves. Tobi our guide had completed head counts on a couple of occasions, but apparently didn't as he left the main square in Potsdam. We had turned to take a photo of a site that he had pointed out, to turn back and not see him or the group anywhere. It was only a matter of 2 minutes. There were probably 200 people in the square, but we believe he should have done a headcount before he moved on. It was very disappointing to have paid money for a tour that we ended up completing by ourselves.

Time well spent
Feb 2020
This was an excellent walking tour - tour guide Dave was superb - he covered off a huge number of historical sites of interest, gave us plenty of time to take a break and he kept us all entertained over the 3.5-4 hours. Cost of the tour is very reasonable and it is a fantastic way to get a flavour of what Berlin has to offer. We used the tour as a way to identify locations and museums we wanted to come back to the following day. Very well organised and easy to locate the starting point.

Excellent private tour with Kai
Jan 2020
I had a great time with Berlin Walking Tours. Communication was efficient and I was able to make arrangements for a private tour less than a week in advance.

The guide, Kai, was very punctual, and was a historian and a gentleman. We met at my hotel and set off for what ended up as a good four hour or so walking survey of Berlin, including many of the key sites (Brandenburg Gate, Hitler’s Bunker, ‘Checkpoint Charlie’, He didn’t dumb things down, and was able to provide a lot of insights so that we were able to have a more interesting discourse. He also had great suggestions for further exploration, such as the Historical Museum, which was well worth the time.

Kai also told me a bit more about his other work, which I found very inspiring.

The time went by very quickly. Kai’s a good dude for sure, and I’d recommend the tour for anyone.

Major landmarks covered in great detail. Better then stumbling around with no context..

James was an excellent guide and very knowledgeable. The tour left on time and 3.5hrs flew by. Great pace to the tour and not as much walking as I thought.. about 10,000 steps. The tour doesn't go to the east side gallery, so I would recommend adding that to your itinerary.

A must do!
The four hours flew by, Georgia was easily one of the best tour guides I’ve ever had- really funny and informative. I usually zone out when a guide talks for a while, but I listened to every word. She also gave a rough itinerary of the day at the start which always helps. If you have one day in Berlin I would recommend doing this tour as you hit all the main tourist attractions, and if you have longer then I would recommend doing it Day 1 as there are plenty of tips for other things to do.

Great walking tour! Lots of photo ops and great knowledge by our guide Kyle
Had a fantastic day out on the walking tour around Berlin with our guide Kyle, it was great to learn about all the different facts about such a city like Berlin. The guide was also great at ensuring our security throughout the tour, just as Berlin like any city can be a hotspot for pickpockets in large groups. We also got some great tips and advice for our stay in regards to the best sights to visit whilst we were here (honest reviews about the TV tower for example). Amazing value for money and would book with this company again, we were going to do the LGBT tour of Berlin the next day but we slept in! Thanks agin

We often will do a walking tour when we first arrive in a city - helps to understand the city and you often get great tips from the guide. Our Berlin walking tour was the best we have ever done. Our guide (Ryan) was excellent and despite the soggy, cold and wet conditions the four or so hours flew by. The kids (19 and 21 yo) also loved it. Thank you Ryan for a great tour!

Berlin Half-day walking tour
Jan 2020 • Solo
On my first morning in Berlin, I had the pleasure of taking this 3 1/2+ hour Tour principally of the Mitte Area, led by Polly. This is a popular tour, so the group was good-sized, but from the outset Polly did a superb job of engaging everyone and of providing very critical and constructive historical context for Berlin and Germany, Especially with reference to the unique history of the city post World War II. The pace of the tour was excellent and Polly answered questions and dealt with a wide range of interests very effectively, as well as nimbly handling a wildcard thrown at us, as we found ourselves having to navigate through a large friendly demonstration against current agricultural policies in Germany, complete with placards, floats and a significant presence of tractors.duction to the city of Berlin and to structures of great significance in understanding both history and contemporary . A tremendous introduction to the city of Berlin and two structures of great significance in understanding both history and contemporary Berlin.

Brilliant Tour and Tour Guide
Sept 2020
This one was probably one of the best tours I've ever done on a city break (and the longest/best value for money).

Our tour guide was Alex, who was absolutely brilliant and very knowledgable. He went in to a lot of detail at the sights and gave just the right amount of context for the time we had.

I would definitely recommend this tour.
