Our guide was very knowledgeable and was able to provide a great overview of Berlin and the history of Berlin. It was the perfect way to begin our visit in Berlin. After this, we knew which places we wanted to come back and experience more in depth. I highly recommend starting off a trip to Berlin with this tour.

While I am super familiar with the history of WWII and the Holocaust, this was my first in person visit to a concentration camp. Our guide, Rebecca, did an excellent job of presenting the gruesome history of Sachenhausen, without sugar coating. I really appreciated the size limit on our group, making for a more intimate and manageable tour. I highly recommend this tour.

We had a blast! Learned a lot and saw the most important historic landmarks guided by Steve, who was a fabulous and funny tourist guide.

Initial check- in was a little chaotic with 3 different English tours (separating 75 people to 25 each) + 1 German tour at the same time, but after we set out, our guide Martin was great. I had run the marathon the day before so it was also fun to learn about the sites that had been run past.

It is incredible how many genuinely interesting landmarks there are in Berlin, within walking distance of each other. It was a blast seeing so many of them, with the context to appreciate and enjoy them. Louissa regaled us with many entertaining and enlightening stories about Prussia, WW2, and East Germany. She even shared some of her family history with East Germany, and shared some interesting personal perspectives that go beyond the raw facts that you might have learned in school. I really appreciated that! If you don't remember what you learned in school, that's okay, because they assume little prior knowledge, and cover the basics.

I cannot say enough about how informative this tour to Sachsenhausen was. Our guide for the day, Lewis made it such a rich and educational experience, one that I will never forget. Don’t hesitate to book this tour, learn the lessons of the past, and as our guide Lewis pointed out at the end, it must inform what to be vigilant to in the present. 🫶🏼

Rebecca was an excellent guide. She was very knowledgeable and we heard a lot of information. She was open to any questions. Even questions not about the tour. And she was funny as well.

Jonathan was a great tour guide. He shared a lot of info not only about the buildings on the tour but also about the artists behind each light display. He was very friendly and held a water bottle in the air the whole time so we would not lose him in the crowds. I would definitely do another tour with him.
