Excellent tour led by a knowledgeable guide
Jul 2021
This is a fact filled tour. Xavier gave us a very interesting tour around the center of Berlin concerning the rise and fall of the Nazis. Very knowledgeable about World War 2 history, and events leading up to it. He could answer any of our questions. You could tell this subject was something that Xavier really cared about. Excellent tour led by a very interesting guide. Don't miss it.

Great tour if you’re interested in modern history
Sep 2020 • Solo
Berlin was at the centre of some of the Western Hemisphere’s most significant events in the 20th century. Sam helped explain what led to these whilst we visited key locations across the city. A very interesting tour led by an excellent guide.

Well worth the time excellent history
Jerrad was our guide and he was a wealth of knowledge even about things outside the exact tour. He made sure to answer all questions and was very easy to understand.
He always made sure we knew our location so no one got lost in the end. Even advised us on good restaurants. The facts about the locations were spot on and very in-depth.
I encourage everyone to do this tour.

Informative and Interesting Walking Tour
Mar 2020
Sam B was our guide for this 4 hour tour and he was brilliant.

He had a real passion for European history and it was obvious that he knew the subject very well.

The tour started with a precis of how Hitler came to power and Sam then took us around Berlin highlighting some of the major events, impacts on different parts of German society and landmarks from Hitler gaining power to the end of the Second World war.

No hesitation in recommending this tour

Took the tour along with my parents. Our guide, Cesar, made the past come alive and condensed an incredible amount of information into the tour without ever letting it drag. Highly recommend!

Thanks so much Sarah!
Jan 2020
Australian tour guide Sarah was fantastic! She took some time to get to know us and where our large group were on our trip/tour/culture experience so far. She started from the basics and worked up based on what we had already learnt around town and from the Auschwitz tour.
She was friendly, knowledgable and relatable. Definitely worth the tour and time.

A great learning experience
Nathan was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide. I am so grateful I signed up for this tour and thankful to Nathan because I saw really special parts of Berlin that would not have been on my (what I had previously thought was a well researched) radar - vital pieces of our recent history such as the Rosenstrasse Protest Memorial and Guenther Demnig’s pavers.

Cesar was an outstanding guide on this walking tour!!
Mar 2020
Our tour guide Cesar was clearly very knowledgeable about the period of history surrounding the Third Reich and Nazi Germany. Cesar did not simply state facts about this period of time in Germany's history, but brought the history to life with his detailed descriptions of people and specific events and a great deal of anecdotal information. I can not overstate how much information was presented to the participants of this tour.

On the tour, there was a nice balance of walking time and time spent with Cesar sharing information and explaining different sites on the tour. There were plenty of opportunities to take pictures as well.

One of my favorite parts of the tour was the German Resistance Memorial Center. I found the museum along with Cesar's additional information to be very, very interesting. Another very fascinating part of the tour was visiting the site where it is believed Hitler died in his bunker. Again, the information Cesar shared about what is believed to have happened, as well as other theories about what may have happened was quite intriguing.

Would strongly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Berlin and interested in the history of Nazi Germany!
