If you want an intro to street art and graffiti then this is the tour
The graffiti and street art in Berlin is prolfiic. Its everywhere. On buildings and infrastructure, public and private, new and old. On first glance it’s ugly and defaces the buildings and infrastructure, but look more closely and you can see artists at work and a whole culture that’s subversive but so creative and fascinating. So to make the most of my time here, I’m learning all I can about Berlins graffiti and street art and the artists behind it. The knowledgeable and lively tour guide Marnie really delivered and I have a whole new appreciation for this art form

    Must do
Great tour made excellent by a fantastic guide. Ben's (the guide) passion and enthusiasm for Berlins Street art scene and historical knowledge of its growth makes for arguably one of the best ways to see the City. I have already, and will continue to recommend it to anyone who likes culture.

    Amazing tour and highly recommended
Highly recommended, even if you are not into street art or graffiti. It is an amazing walking tour that dives into politics, the history of Berlin, the culture and the neighborhoods. But if you do like street art you will love this tour. If you have ever been to Bogotá or New York City and understand the significance of either graffiti, dissent, hip hop or punk this tour is for you. The art work you see is also amazing. Berlin is a big city and this will get you acclimated to a few neighborhoods so you can enjoy your trip on your own. Definitely a day one item. Our tour guide Antonio was also awesome and very informed.

    Excellent introduction to street art
Thoroughly enjoyable and insightful. A great experience of a lifestyle and art form that I have had limited prior experience with. We had a good balance between walking, knowledge and photo opportunities. The best tour we did in Berlin! Recommended 5 stars.

    Interesting and informative
Learned lot about graffiti and street art in Berlin. Our guide Ben provided context and interesting stories to help explain many of the images. The tour was 3 hours which I felt was a bit too long. But perhaps that was just because of the poor weather. I would recommend this tour.

Amazing tour guided by a real artist
Loved this tour, so interesting, informative and unique. Our guide, Antonio, was amazing. He really knows how to perform and guide a tour with giving a lot of interesting information, yet keeping it entertaining and funny. Go to this tour and support the local artists at the end! Be prepared because it is a long tour with a short little coffee break.

I am not a big fan but this was so great!
Berlin is a city full of surprises. My students enjoyed this spectacular walking tour very much and I did as well even though I am not a big fan of street art I have to admit it was a great experience. Highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berlin. It is affordable and has a lot of fascinating moments.

    Lots of fun
I enjoyed learning about the history of graffiti and street art in general and the specific history of the art in Berlin during this tour. Our guide, Antonio, was super knowledgeable and friendly. Thanks!

Great way to learn about street art sub-culture
The tour was informative and entertaining. Our guide, Rob, has been immersed in the street art scene in Berlin for many years and was happy to share his knowledge with us. Another great feature of the tour was that it was so interactive, Rob welcomed the knowledge that some participants had and encouraged them to share. If you're looking for an alternative walking tour experience then this is the one for you.

Look up and you enter the world of Street Art.
Marnie was our guide on this ‘free’ alternative street art tour. You still need to book in advance but payment is in the form of a tip - so take cash. 10 - 40 euros suggested, for a 2 hr plus ‘live’ tour. Started in Alexanderplatz and finished in Kreuzberg with a short train ride to join the two parts. A real mix of history, politics but above all street art. I had walked down one of the streets the previous day and noticed very little but with a guide such as Marnie it came alive. So informative and responsive to questions. Timing was excellent- never had to rush but covered quite a lot of ground. Highly recommended and gives you a glimpse of what I liked to think was a more authentic side of Berlin.

    Great tour of alternative Berlin
Our guide was Marnie and she was lovely! I have always loved street art but didn’t realize how little I knew about it. Marnie taught us a lot! She even gave us one of her stickers which I am bringing to Prague . Marnie, if you read this - your happy pizza is being pasted up somewhere in Prague today. I highly recommend this tour!

Wonderful introduction to the Berlin Street Art Scene
Rob was a great guide to get a taste of the Berlin street art scene. He is not only passionate, but very well informed, about the subject and it shows in his presentation. The pace was gentle and he shared not just facts and figures but also comments on his own interpretation of the pieces we viewed. He asked us to think and made us laugh and that is some of the highest praise I can give your guide. Dad jokes not withstanding...

    Thought Provoking and informative
It was a really informative and eye opening tour. I visited a part of Berlin I would neohad got to as a tourist. Our guide was fabulous well informed with a great sense of humour. We made several stops on the train and explored the subject in depth. A must do experience

The tour was fun, but less alternative than I expected. Of the five places we visited, I'd only consider one alternative, but more novelty alternative than alternative culture. Two typical bars with craft beer, an absinthe bar, 'porno karaoke' bar (only alternative), and a (bad) top 40 night club (that gives you plastic tokens instead of change). I was hoping for more of an underground experience, and more narrative from the guide (however it was cold, and the bars inside too noisy, so long talks outside wouldn't have worked). The tour guide was nice though.

I signed up for this tour wanting to get a little taste of Berlin nightlife and having little knowledge of where to start. I generally do not like obnoxious bar scenes. The venues on this tour were all very laid back and did not seem overrun with tourists. It was an incredibly diverse international group, as I met folks from many different countries... (I was actually pleased not to have met another American!) Our guide Sanjay was incredibly nice and took great care to keep tabs on everyone, and gave good instruction on getting past the bouncers at the last 2 venues, as well as on how to find the train at the end of the night! Overall a great experience, even for introverts like myself!

I took the Alternative Pubcrawl and it was different than I assumed from the advertising but still super amazing. Our guides were Julia and Marcio and both were friendly and chatty. I ended up in Marcios group. He is a real Berliner and he took the time to talk wich each of us. He gave also me some great tips what else to do in Berlin and answered all questions with patience. The whole vibe of the night was really laid back and even after what I saw on the flyer I expected more wild party it turned out to be on the best nights in Berlin. The bars are cool places where you also can meet locals and not to touristy but also not crazy and super packed. If you are looking for a chilled evening and meeting cool people this tour is just the right thing to do! The guides are better than any tourist information in this city and are willing to share their knowledge and love for the city.

Great night with around 12-14 other people. Captain was a good host, and made sure we all got in and out of the bars ok, giving us strong shots in each bar. Went to about 5 bars including an absinthe one with a 90% absinthe drink called “suicide”. Ended up in a club in a trendy area of Berlin. Thanks captain

Tour guides showed up late, and were unprepared for the amount of people who showed up. There were a few out of control people even before the crawl started! This tour is described to be a 'cozy' night out. For my friend and I, it was not. It was loud, the large group (even split in half!) disrupted the locals and clearly stressed out the guides. I think that this tour in particular should be ONLY bookings, no walk-in joiners. The bars we went to were somewhat interesting but not what we had anticipated. Shots were handed out before we left each venue. Which meant that upon arrival the group all bought their own drinks only to later realise that we had to do shots.
Honestly, disappointed in the venues, and group size. The two guides tried their best and in the end the night went without incident. Smaller groups are a must.

Partly like a true Berliner. Good tour guides, good groups, you go to some really cool bars you would never discover by yourself. The energy is great, they do a good job of coralling a rowdy group of people and making sure everyone has a good time. You would have to try really hard to not have a fun time. I did it 3 times, and got a more legendary story for it each night. On the last night they even let me do it for free! Sigyer, Becca, Jacob are just solid people and you couldn't be in better hands.

Me and my three sons signed up for the tour. Really nice to experience different bars and nightclubs. Guides were good and clear on the rules for the pubtour.
Tip for the organisation:
Change the free shots for 2 free consumption's at own choice. The shots make people drunk, which is not contributing to the atmosphere.

Hi Marina Thankyou for your nice review. We are very pleased to hear you enjoyed the evening. Concerning your tip for the organization : Guests receive 3 low alcohol and 3 strong alcohol shots on the evening. People complain either way if all they get is low alcohol or vice versa. This is why we do half and half. You must understand that people expect to get shots on the tour. They will not pay the asking price of 12 euros for 2 shots only. You might but the majority of people expect a good deal. I´m sorry that's just the way it is in this business. After 12 years of running this nightlife tour we know what works best for everybody. You don´t have to drink all the shots offered btw. It´s your choice. We do however strongly encourage people to behave themselves and keep a very close eye on people drinking too much on the tour. We will speak to or remove any trouble makers if necessary. We have very experienced guides whom know how to handle any situation and will do everything they can to ensure a really good atmosphere on this nightlife tour. Thankyou very much for joining our tour AB

Pity I had to give it one point. I'm 53 and was refused entry for not having ID?
Tour guide rude, we had walked 2 miles in minus 6, then had to walk back again. Doesn't say you need ID on voucher, need to pay for extra drinks as you are stuck in bars for an hour, also need to buy Metro tickets. Waste of money.

Dear guest Please understand it has nothing to do with your age concerning the need to carry ID on this tour. This is law in Germany that people must carry ID in public places. The places we visit in particular the club are VERY STRICT on this. We have absolutely no say in this. We have been told several times by club owners we will not be able to bring our groups if we bring people without ID. Believe me they have been extremely direct about this. We´ve been warned what will happen. If police who are frequently the RAW temple club area check people for ID and find people not carrying any there is big big trouble for the club. I am very sorry we had to ask you to bring ID. On our website, when you book and when you receive confirmation , this point is mentioned 3 times in the process. We cannot do anymore. Please understand this is not us being mean we are forced to ensure guests have ID in the event of a situation happening. The guide was not rude, Marco is a very gentle person. It was a misunderstanding here, you couldn´t understand why someone your age needed ID and you were very upset about this. I can understand this but he was everything he could to ensure you could join this tour. Yes you do need to have Metro tickets for this tour. When you say you had to walk 2 miles in minus 6. Why wouldn´t you use your metro ticket you had purchased ? I think that part is a bit of exaggeration. Marco told you the tour would wait for you to go back and get your ID which they did but you never returned. He stood outside in the freezing waiting for you. He really wanted to make sure you could join us. ou did know about the ID requirement as you wrote us an email as you left for the tour. On Feb 26, 2018, at 5:39 PM, Liz Fitzpatrick wrote: Hi, I just booked tickets for the pub crawl tonight but I do not have my ID with me, I left it back at the hotel. Myself and my partner are both over 50 will we be ok ? Sent from my iPhone We responded : On Feb 26, 2018, at 5:44 PM, wrote: Hi Liz I´m very sorry but to attend this tour you must have ID. It´s law in Germany to carry ID into bars & clubs incase something happens. We can´t do anything about this as silly as it sounds. Could you please bring ID for this tour. Thanks very much. I´m sorry but you chose to ignore this. We can´t do much more. This condition applies to every guest for the reasons I mentioned above. The first bar is our meeting point. We do not advertise free drinks, we advertise free shots. We spend 45 minutes in each bar. At the first bar (the meeting point) we start to inform guests at 9.45pm we will be leaving soon so we can start organizing the groups and shots for our guests. It is up to the guests what drinks they buy. We do not force you to buy extra drinks. This is your decision. 45 mins in each bar is enough for 1 drink for most people if you drink faster that is up to you. I am sorry you didn´t have a good experience with us but please understand guests have to adhere to our simple requests. This is Germany they follow rules here whether we like it or not. Thankyou for your feedback Kind regards AB

We wanted to do pub crawl in Berlin and we couldn’t make it to the one at our hostel at 8pm so we looked for an alternative and found this one starting at 9pm. This pretty cool. Our tour guides are pretty awesome, chilled and a lot of fun. We went to a ping pong bar, an absinthe bar and a rock bar then finish with a techno club. We made a lot of new friends. I definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to meet new people and have a good time. The tour also gave us free shot after each bar. We ended up going home at 4am. Overall, it was a great experience.

Did the pub crawl with a friend of mine on a Wednesday night. We were such a large group that we had to be split into two! Rebecca led my group, she was brilliant at managing 20 drunk schmucks. Highly recommend the crawl!
