Kreuzberg and Neukölln Walking and Food Tour in Berlin
From US$67.90
Overview
Sample a slice of Berlin’s vibrant Kreuzberg and Neukölln districts during this 6-hour walking food and culture tour. Enjoy included tastings from 6 local food vendors and 4 drink stops as you experience the areas Berlin’s ‘East’ meets its ‘West.’ You’ll try everything from Turkish and Arabic cuisine, trendy coffee, and diverse food markets, all while visiting World War II sights and learning about Berlin’s communist history.
What to Expect
Start your exploration of Berlin’s edgy culinary culture in the morning, leaving with your guide from Alexanderplatz. Over the course of the next 4.5 hours, you’ll get a taste of these two thriving areas’ unique mix of culture, food, art, and history.
Indulge in some tasty Arabic Shawarma, try out a falafel plate, and sample some homemade pastries. Continue your culinary adventure by visiting one of the neighborhoods’ hippest coffee shops. As you start filling your stomach, you’ll also have a chance to feast your eyes on beautiful graffiti murals, learn stories about Nazi Germany and trace the steps of SS soldiers that once wandered the local streets.
If you haven’t yet gotten your fill, proceed next to the neighborhoods’ Oberbaum Bridge, and explore ‘Little Istanbul,’ an area that’s home to the largest Turkish community outside of Turkey. You’ll finish your walking and food adventure back at your original starting point.
