Visit: Nineties Berlin, Molkenmarkt 2, 10179 Berlin Germany
Exhibition include e.g.: dictatorship - wall - freedom
The overcoming of the sed-dictatorship by the peaceful revolution was a joyous event that became a global theme on the day of the fall of the Wall. Tens of thousands celebrated the fall of the Wall on November 9, 1989, whose builders were responsible for the separation of families and 140 Berlin victims. In total, at least 327 people died on the German-German border. The symbol for all the dead was conquered by the people from east and west: they climbed to the hundreds on the wall, climbed the quadriga at 26 meters high on the Brandenburger Tor at the turn of the year 1989/1990 and tore the Berlin Wall in the months after from the heart of the city. The so-called wall-woodpeckers dismembered the remnants of the once inviolable symbol of the German division, thus establishing the right to a separate piece of memory of these globally unique events.
