Florian is not your usual tour guide: a Hamburg native with a degree in economics, a former Amazon HR director, and a former social worker. He’s passionate about Hamburg and his tour reflects it: he had such a fascinating breadth of information about so many aspects of the city and the country. Social, political, historical, geographical. He’s funny and interesting, and we had a great two-hour tour. He recommended a great restaurant for dinner afterwards too. I’d recommend this tour.

The guide was very knowledgeable and spoke English very well. It was good to be accompanied by someone who knew the area and the history too.

After paying for a cab ride to the meeting point, our guy did not even show up. I tried messaging and calling and got no response. Then we had to cab ride back to our hotel. I will be filing a complaint.

I arrived at the meeting point and no tour guide showed. I call the tour guide and he said he had cancelled and notified me . He did not . I save all my emails and texts . Also he didn't notify Trip Advisor who would have notified me . Don't use this service

Amazing structure and architecture - this is a fabulous building - with stunning panoramic views and definitely worth a visit!

We were disappointed that the beer and shot was provided off a back street, behind the Reeperbahn and in the parking lot of a convenience store. Would have liked more of the Reeperbahn and more informative info. Guide was nice, just thought there would be history.

Guide was ok, just not enough on the history or laws of the district. Would not do again. Was hoping to learn about the daily activity and how things are done. Guide didn’t answer questions that good.

Tour was cancelled by Operator. Nothing to review or talk about, just waiting now to get refund as I paid in full in advance. Not happy!

Run!!! The Rote Katz is SCAM! A man invites you in, claiming you can watch the show, and have a drink and a table. Then a scantily clad, uninvited old woman sits at your table, and asks you to, "buy a lady a piccolo." You feel sorry for her and agree. Immediately, the madam gives you an invoice for 80 Euro, and says, " it's the rules." Don't be stupid. Run!

It was canceled last minute. Very disappointing. I rebooked the next night and it was canceled again. I am expecting a full refund for both.

Interesting tour. Florian was a great guide and explained some interesting history about the area. The free drink was a lovely touch.

Like other reviews have said the tour was cancelled with a few hour spare. I give them credit in that I was sent a text message a few hours before the tour was due and i wasn’t left waiting but we had planned our evening based on the tour so was very disappointing

They canceled us a few hours before the tour stating ongoing business problems. We were there eating dinner before the tour

Belar was our guide and what a knowledgeable and fun young man. He gave us such a historical and political view and views of old Hamburg and new Hamburg. It is such a diverse and unique section of Hamburg. The tour not only informational but also an insight of the ways of life for those who call it home. Excellent tour not for the faint of heart or prudes. This is a nutty gritty behind the scenes and life of the people of the Reparbarten.

I joined this tour on a whim and was one of only six, but it worked out perfectly because we all got to talk to our guide one on one and ask lots of questions about the history of the Reeperbahn and St. Pauli district. The guide was well-informed, friendly, and knew a lot of people in the area personally. It was so fun and knowledgeable and I would say that all six of us had a terrific experience.
