Another free walking tour that has it all. You don't just get to see some of the most important sights and learn about the history of this time-honored city. Marcel also knows how to convey the Cologne attitude to life . The carnival is suddenly no longer just a party, but a centuries-old custom with more to it than you might think. And after 2.5 hours, you'll know why the people of Cologne are half Italian, with all their strengths and weaknesses. Highly recommended

Fantastic, funny and informative tour! I do a lot of free walking tours, and Sander was a great host. Myself and 3 other solo travellers u met in the tour went to lunch at one of the recommended restaurants and it was very tasty (Beirut - Lebanese food). Highly recommend Sander and the company!

I booked the free tour by my hostel without expecting much - just a quick intro for the first day in the city, maybe one or two anecdotes... but boy was I wrong. When I arrived it turned out that I was the only tourist. Even though, I received a real VIP private tour through the historic centre with plenty of fun stories, legends and advice. My guide -Andrea was so enthusiastic and passionate bout the city that I decided to stay one day extra and I am so grateful for having met her - even though the weather was freezing. I was the only listener, she kept on smilling and answered all my questions. I was shown some hidden gems (ex. Roman ruins in a parking lot) but yet got the city's overall vibe and history starting from the Ubiis, through Romans and Prussians and ending with modernity. Even if you have just a couple of hours in the city, the tour will be worth every minute.
