- 1The Mosque of Córdoba was the biggest one in the world once all the extensions were concluded in the tenth century. More than 20,000 people could fit inside and it was declared World Heritage in 1984. All travelers who visited the Mosque were dazzled when they saw its beauty. You shouldn’t leave Córdoba without visiting its main touristic attraction! Its characteristic double arches and its impressive mihrab will leave you speechless. The monument houses multiple architectonical styles, which makes it unique in the world.
About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- catalinagV2804DM0 contributionsInteresting tour, passionate guide, amazing placeWe had a great time in this Cordoba tour with the guide Chema. He was incredibly passionate about everything on this tour but was also funny. A bit too much information for beginners like us, especially that the tour is 4h long in the heat, but we thoroughly enjoyed the Mosque Cathedral, the Jewish Quarter walk and the Alcazar. There was a break in the middle and the pace was comfortable. Only negative, the guide left us in the Alcazar after the tour to stay and enjoy, but he didn’t say we had 20 minutes left as it was closing. So the tour can be shorter or start earlier for longer time in the Alcazar which is the highlight I think!Written 8 September 2024
- 14cedarw0 contributionsHighly recommendedOur guide was Jaime and he was fantastic. Funny, informative, engaging. We learned a lot about the history of the Mezquita and Cordoba and Andalusia. And, a beautiful building.Written 21 July 2024
- hillaryh6290 contributionsRaffa’s AlcazarRafa was amazing! Great info and fun personality on a blistering hot day. Wish the tour was longer. Tip: start out very early!Written 20 July 2024
- Marj200090 contributionsNot informativeThis tour was disappointing. The guide (Jose or Tema) explained very little about Jewish history of Cordoba or even Jewish life in more recent years. He spoke about himself, primarily. He lacked even the basic sense of history, such as the extent of the expulsion, forced conversion, ececutions of Jewish citizens. Too bad.Written 5 May 2024
- decolondon880 contributionsAmazing private walking tourWe booked a private walking tour of Cordoba including inside of the Mesquita Cathedral. Our guide Genoveva was amazing, so friendly and knowledgeable. Cordoba is steeped in complicated religious and political history but she explained it all so well. She was patient with our questions and photo-taking and took us to all the highlights of this beautiful city in less than 4 hours. Thank you Genoveva for the amazing tour and Belen for assisting with the booking. Highly recommend Cordoba a Pie!Written 22 March 2024

- 143stuartl0 contributionsGreat Tour with Wonderful Food & Restaurant SuggestionsDavid was a wonderful guide who was born in Cordoba and doing an art history major. He paced the tour well and answered all of our questions with thoughtfully and with some humor. At the part of the tour where he talked about local and traditional foods, he also gave us some restaurant suggestions which turned out well (example was Casa Miguelito - try their "killer" fried calamari dish). It was a very warm day so that the evening tour was more comfortable.Written 16 October 2023

I booked a Cordoba a pie Mosque tour in May as we planed to visit Cordoba end of July. As the pandemic grew in Spain we had to change our vacation plans and I had to cancel our tour. I did cancel well in advance of the publish deadline. I never got a refund, I called and was assured that the payment would come, it did not. I wrote another email before posting this critic as I was asked by Cordoba a pie to rate the (non existing) tour. So here it is.

the tour was ok. our guide wasn’t good at storytelling or conveying the information interestingly. I’m not upset about the info, but it was annoying that we couldn’t turn in our headsets early to leave. we had to wait until the entire tour was over and give our headset back to our same guide otherwise we’d get charged. The last like 25 minutes we were just waiting

Tour, itself, was well organized, engaging and informative. If I was rating only on the tour, I would give a 5. However, the administrative part of the business is run terribly. The office does not respond to messages, whether by phone, WhatsApp, email or even Facebook. I reserved the tour a month in advance and wasn't even sure it would happen until the evening before. Furthermore, I didn't think I was going to be able to do it in English until I arrived and he informed me that it would be in English.

The Cordoba Mosque tour we took was through an agency from Granada which somehow I've managed to misplace their card but I'll write review once I locate it but meanwhile the Tour guide we gad for the Mosque tour was an exceptional girl by the name of Angela and her knowledge of the Mosque was impressive as not only she's an architect student but she also has a passion for the site as the Cordoba is an amazing building comprising Islam and Christian worship....and Angela happens to be well versed in both and also knows all the less obvious aspect eg. a badly placed column in the middle of the Mosque that one would never notice unless its pointed out and its humorous to see an imperfection in such a grande building! All in all Cordoba is a must see and if you get Angela as your guide that's a plus!!

Our English speaking guide Angela was able to take us through the entire mosque and tell us the amazing history of this site. Seeing it without all of her knowledge would just not do it justice. There is so much to learn and so much interesting history that goes along with the site. We definitely recommend this tour if you come to visit the mosque!

I undertook this tour on 3 September and our guide was Stefanía. Her enthusiasm and knowledge of the history of Córdoba and the Mezquita were enthralling!
The Mosque/Cathedral site is vast and, whilst visually stunning, my visit was so much more worthwhile, being able to understand the context in which it had been developed over the centuries.
I am not usually a fan of guided tours but this was perfectly pitched and we were a small group of seven.
I lingered in the Mezquita for an hour or so after the tour was over, taking photos and soaking in all the history which Stefanía had imparted.
This is a really worthwhile tour!

This impressive buildings includes so rich memories of a long and complicated history. It can also be seen as a memory of times when different religions managed to coexist, better than in our time.
The tour was comfortable long, interesting all the time. The guide had wide knowledges of her subjects. But I had a little problem with her rapid speaking, and a little inexplicit pronunciation. Sometimes less is more.

Hi Joyce. The tour lasts about 1.5 hours. The late afternoon tour ends when the Mosque-Cathedral closes for the day.

We assume we can skip the ticket line with this tour. Is that correct? Does this tour include entrance tickets for all of us? We are a family of six people, and we are interested in signing on to the 1:30pm tour on Sat, June 16th. Thank you.
