A walk to 12th century Granada
Our tour guide was Antonio Villalabo, who has an encyclopedic knowledge about the history of Alhambra. He was engaging and showed us the highlights while also keeping it light and enjoyable. The architecture is breathtaking and it's a tour that you will not forget! Highly recommended.

Was a great experience! The tour guide Patra was good, the highlight was Alhambra and our English tour guide Gustavo. He was extremely knowledgeable about the Alhambra palace and the whole experience was awesome! Highly recommend this tour . It takes about 3 hours from Seville. But glad we did it as it was so amazing! The city of Granada views are breathtaking!

We had an amazing tour of the Alhambra with Fernando. He was so knowledgable and brought the whole tour to life. He was very kind and considerate of the group and made sure we were all comfortable and enjoying the experience. It was a wonderful tour and we would not hesitate to recommend Fernando as a guide!

A must see even despite its popularity
Beautiful example of a Medieval township within a town, the Alhambra is both breathtaking and awe inspiring. Beware the crowds are relentless - I first visited the palace as a fourteen-year-old (some 50+ years ago) and recall being one of a small group of visitors. Alas times have changed, and I understand upwards of 8,000 people a day pass through it, so photography is compromised as indeed being able to visit all areas of the palace within your allotted tour time. That said it is still without question one of the finest monuments in Spain and in my opinion of its type anywhere in the world.

          A great day out
Got to see some spectacular views that we couldn't get to without a car. Much cooler in the mountains too. Stopped at a few interesting places and villages and our guide Alessandra was friendly and knowledgeable. It does take an hour to get there and there are some very windy roads but all in all a well worth trip

a visit with GUILLERMO in Alhambra
I went in Granada to visit the city and I couldn’t surpass the excursion to Alhambra, I was accompanied by GUILLERMO that talks very fluently Italian and he was very clear, he made me feel the sensation of amazement. Honestly I was very impressed by everything that I’ve seen and the guide (Guillermo) made the visit really enjoyable and also with a shade of fun in a serious context. I wanna thank Granavisión for assigning to GUILLERMO my visit of Alhambra.

          Impressive Alhambra
This was great tour, the views are amazing. The guide provided lots of information. I had a great day. Would recommend. I brought my own quality headphones, which helped. This is a crowded place and a fair bit of walking and steps. Caution to the mobility impaired. I would go as early as possible.

          Excellent!
Really lovely grounds with lots of palaces and gardens to visit. The grounds are well maintained and the parking is close to the front entrance. Staff were helpful and there were lots of clean bathrooms on site

          Stay close to the Front
You have to wear ear buds to hear the guide. Unfortunately if you are at the back of the group this does not work. Other than that it was a very good tour, perhaps a little rushed.

          Alhambra great. Nasrid, be careful.
Amazing place, but be weary of booking via this option if you’re restricted on times to visit Nasrid palaces. We booked both, but received a message before we arrived saying our entry to Nasrid Palaces was only for 19:00. The rest of the Alhambra is a very enjoyable 3-4 hours, but because we couldn’t wait to enter Nasrid Palaces until our allotted entry of 19:00 we wasted money booking this also. It does say in small print this could change, so if you need a specific time I’d look elsewhere.

First, if you spent 30 seconds skimming a Wikipedia article, you are more of an “expert” guide than Marco. Apparently, the only requirement to being a guide is that he spoke French and English. He gave both a French and English version of every place we walked through. Effectively saying “ this place has water running from rain and the snow” and “ many people worked on this, yes?”

Failed to mention - Isabella and Ferdinand used this as their palace. It was where Christopher Columbus was handed his royal gift.

His quote “this part was never finish. I don’t know why . “. Well, maybe it was due to the Morocco rebellions in Granada? Oops!

Did you know that Alhambra means “the red one” or “the red lady”? Marco didn’t either !! Did you know it was referred to in may literary works and poetry as “ a pearl set in emerald “ ? Well Marco didn’t either.

He was bored. When asked a question he answered with a stare and “ moving on”. Wow. Thanks !

The lucky ones in the tour got lost in the first 30 min as three or four groups sort of merged into a mass and when we pointed out we lost about 1/3 our members, a blank stare, not as much as a shrug and “moving along “....

How to do this absolutely stunning place full of vibrant history and breathtaking vistas? Get the self guided tour. Make sure you have a ticket to the palaces. Or maybe try a better company.

Skip this company. Find one that at least pretends to be interested!

This tour was incredible, from start to end!
Our Alhambra tour guide, Carlos Serrano, was funny, personable and extremely knowledgable, making for a fantastic day out.
The majestic Alhambra itself was nothing short of incredible and worth every moment spent.
The evening Hammam was a feast for the senses and was the perfect way to end the day.
I would highly recommend booking your Alhambra experience with GranaVision Excursions. Thank you Carlos for this memorable experience! This has been the highlight of my trip thus far :)
