About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- matthewhD4852SE0 contributionsA Great Option for Your Alhambra ExperienceI would strongly recommend this tour - the 3 hours is a perfect amount of time to walk around and see the entirety of the palace without being overly rushed (though you could spend all day here if you wanted to.) Our guide, Christian, was phenomenal in explaining the history of the palace and was the key to us having a great experience - all while being very friendly, personable, funny, and likable. This tour provides you with earpieces so you can hear your guide even if they are far away - this is a game changer: because of the narrow passageways and the large crowds, you will absolutely need this feature because you will get broken up or will have to walk in single file (with 10-15 people in your group) and so it would otherwise be impossible to hear. Other considerations: we were well paced, meaning we'd walk to a section - talk, look around, and move on. You should be aware that ANY tour of Alhambra is going to involve a lot of walking and some steps, so be prepared. This group was moving at a reasonable pace, with a break halfway through for the restrooms or a quick snack. Again, this tour company is clearly experienced and know how to run a great tour, and Christian was a phenomenal tour guide on top of this.Written 13 December 2024

It's not worth doing the tour without a guide as you miss so much. The Nasrid palaces are amazing. - wdctraver0 contributionsHighlight of our week in SpainWe had an amazing tour by Laura! All of us said the Alhambra tour was the highlight of our week in Spain. We took the 3 hour tour for less than 10 people. Reasonable price for a detailed highlights tour. The path our tour guide took us on avoided the crowds and we got to see e stunting up close. Highly recommend this small guided tour to get enough details but not too long to bore our group. Thank you Laura! So knowledgeable and interesting!Written 28 October 2024
- Newt440 contributionsBring passport to Alhambra or!!! you loseGreat company. Very EZ to find meeting place. Helpful & friendly. Forgot passports. Tried to bluff it through. Big mistake. You WLL need passport. Had to dasht back to hotel, get passports & run back to make 10:30 appointment for entry to Palace. Don't be like us..you may not make it in time. What a stupid move. Almost missed the reason for coming to Granada.Written 24 October 2024
- fmoladavis0 contributionsIf you have limited walking mobility ask for a wheelchairWell organized meeting point and communicating before event. Very attentive guide. I'm 73 and have problem with stairs and walking on uneven surfaces. THERE ARE A LOT OF STAIRS, I MEAN A LOT! There is also a lot of walking up hill and down hill. I do not recommend this for limited mobility folks. It's worth visiting but I had to skip parts of the tour due to the stairs.Written 23 October 2024
- alang5340 contributionsDon’t book with them. Faulty instructions for meeting. Never replied to my email. They post a location for meeting that is CLOSED. Ask you to download and install an app, for a simple tour. I PAID and showed up where instructed, 15 minutes prior to where tour starts. Only to find out that they called me 10 minutes before the time I was supposed to show up at the CLOSED location. I don’t have an international calling plan, was in transit to follow their instructions, so did not receive the message until much later when WiFi available. Why not notify 24 hours in advance? I prepaid this tour, and never received it due to their chaos. Emailed them with NO REPLY.Written 20 October 2024

- O7979QLdavidw0 contributionsDO NOT BOOK!!!!We booked this tour late, a few days in advance. The total price was $504. It was to start at 12:30 at the meeting place. We met there and then for 1/2 hour we had to walk up a hill . then we toured from 1- 2 with a 15 minute break . then we were given a bathroom break from 1 - 1:15. At that point we walked again for a 45 minute tour. So in total we had a 1 1/2 hour tour instead of 3 hours. It was terrible and we paid so much for it. I tried cancelling with Viator to get my money back and they were totally not helpful. DO NOT BOOK!!!!!!.Written 9 October 2024
- josephsT4620GV0 contributionsHighly recommendedOur group was a small group of 6 where the guide (who was excellent) gave personal attention to all in the group. A little chaotic in trying to figure where to get started (there was many group tours), but once that was done, it went at a good comfortable pace with lots of informative background information. Started on time. Does entail a little bit of walking. Interior, exterior and scenery was outstanding.Written 7 October 2024

We were part of the Small Group Alhambra Tour with Marta as a guide and she is absolutely amazing! She took the time to answer all our questions which made the tour longer than planned and she knew every detail we could possibly ask for. Even though a tour through the Alhambra may seem very long and a little exhausting (about three hours which turned into 4) it was nothing but interesting and entertaining and most probably the best part of our trip! It’s infectious how passionate Marta is about history and the story of the Alhambra. After the tour Marta also recommended some restaurants and other activities such as hikes around the city which I’m very excited to do.
I would very strongly recommend doing this tour with Marta it will enrich your visit of the Alhambra by a lot (as I’m living in Granada I had been there twice before but never found it as interesting as this time).
Marta if you’re reading this, it was a pleasure getting to know you and having you as a tour guide.... even though it’s just your question for the kiddies tour - you really are the best! :D

The Alhambra itself is an amazing monument, and I knew that securing tickets would be challenging. We booked our tour based on other outstanding reviews and we were not disappointed. The whole process was seamless. We reserved our spots and received detailed contact information and directions. On the day of our tour, we called and got prompt responses from Rocio as well as another lady to assist us in locating the meetup point. Upon meeting the group we were assigned Manu as our tour guide. He was OUTSTANDING! Manu was friendly, professional, knowledgeable and patient. He accommodated the group’s needs and narrated each part of the tour with interesting and pertinent information. His English was very good and he answered questions with a depth that indicated a good base of knowledge about the history and architecture of the Alhambra. My teenage daughters and I enjoyed every minute of the three hour tour. If we are ever lucky enough to return to Granada, we will certainly book again through this company (and request Manu).

This was a wonderful tour. Everything ran like clockwork. Our guide was brilliant with a sense of humour and a passion for the Alhambra.
I would recommend this tour because you get a logical and interesting history of the whole city/Palace complemented with story’s and useful bits of information that you would miss from an audio guide. The timing of the tour is just right and you can go back and look around after if you want to. Skipping the queues as you explore saves a lot of time. Our guide also had a great knowledge and love of Granada so we could ask him anything about the city and he knew the answer.
A fantastic guide who kept us fully engaged through the tour (including my 2 teenagers!). Thank you,

Guide was slow, unsympathetic, with poor knowledge of the history of the sights, and continuously gave us his own opinion of the buildings rather than giving us the chance to think about what we thought.
The little knowledge of the long and varied history of the palace he had was interrupted to references and long rambling discussions about the trees and plants. Which may be of interest to one or two of the party, but not everyone.
No attention was paid to practical considerations -- a small child was told to wait for twenty minutes before the only break for the bathroom. The meeting point after the one short break was in full sun on a hot day. No outline was given of what order we'd see the palaces in, and no warning that our tickets would be invalid unless we stayed with the group.
So while we'd recommend taking a group tour, we'd not recommend this firm, unless they train their guides on how to take a tour group more seriously.

We had Carmen as our guide today & it was $ WELL spent!! Her English was very good! I can’t imaging going here without Nhue! I booked online at home & printed the tickets. Then they kept emailing & texting reminders(bring passport, etc)-very good communication & organization. I think I read a bad review about the guide walking with her back to the group...she HAS to! It is packed full of tourists & she is Leading the group! Carmen would count us all as we got into an open space to make sure she didn’t leave anyone before proceeding. (Max of 20ppl per group). The ear pieces were great at hearing her from her microphone & also you could wander off a bit to take pics without missing what she says. There was a bathroom & snack break for 12 min about 2hr,15min into the tour. The tour lasted for 3.5 hr. Allow 30min walk from plaza Nueva as its all uphill to the box office/mtg point! & that is without stopping to rest at the benches. There are maps along the walk to check that u are still going in the right direction. Walk ALL the way to the TOP of the hill-keep going STRAIGHT!! Highly recommend Nhue & Carmen!!!❤️

Stunning sites but tour itself was very disappointing both in terms of the company’s organisation and the unprofessional guide. It was difficult to find the meeting spot as the organiser had the white umbrella closed and held it by her side so it couldn’t be seen! The tour guide herself spoke far too quickly and much of the commentary was lost because she spoke for much of the time with her back to her audience. It was difficult to follow her as it was very busy and she carried nothing to make her stand out in the crowd. In fact, at least one person did lose the guide; not that she was at all concerned by this! The commentary lacked structure and depth. The tour guide was unprofessional and repeatedly checked her phone yet she was being paid to deliver a commentary to her group. Overall this tour is poor value for money. Not recommended!

Hamdi was a wonderful and knowledgeable guide who taught us much about the history of the Alhambra. He enjoyed telling stories about what may have taken place there, as well as the significance of the ornamentation and writing. Our small group was 21 people, smaller than some of the other groups roaming the site. At 3+ hours, we saw a lot of the expansive gardens as well as the various buildings and ruins of the old city. It was quite thorough. As expected, we covered a lot of ground, so be prepared with comfortable shoes.

I usually don’t leave negative reviews but unless you want to risk losing $62 do NOT book a tour with this company!!
I booked a 9am tour for July 24th. The tour time, ticket, and meeting point instructions clearly state that the tour starts at 9am.
I took screenshot and reviewed all this information before the start of my trip so I wouldn’t have any issues. On July 24th I arrived at the tour meeting point at 8:55am only to be told that the tour had left without me!
I was completely shocked and pointed out that the tour time and meeting point instructions clearly says 9am not 8:30am only to be told that they had apparently changed the tour start time to 8:30am the day before (less than 24 hours prior). For context, I had been hiking the entire day prior which was why I had downloaded all my tour meeting point instructions beforehand as I knew I would have no access to cell service and WiFi.
On top of that, the tour coordinator proceeded to roll her eyes and scoff at me when I showed her that the tour meeting instructions says 9am meeting time. This was incredibly rude.
She then handed me my ticket and told me to try and find the tour guide myself. I spent the next 40 minutes running though the nasrid places trying to find my tour. I tried messaging the tour company on WhatsApp to see if the guide could drop her location but did not receive a response. At that point I just booked a different tour for the next day (July 25th) with a different company as I simply could not find my group and had missed 1/3 of the tour at that point anyway.
The company was then incredibly rude when I requested a refund.
Terrible company and horrible coordination. Don’t book with them!!!! What makes it even worse is they did not even attempt to make things right with me by offering a refund, credit, or offer to rebook me for a different time.

We have paid 325 SGD for a family of 5 for a small group guided tour.
We have paid more than 200 EUR extra (!!!) on top of the entry ticket to make it a great experience for the kids and for the whole family to visit Alhambra.
We made some mistakes with the parking (all the 3 close carparks were marked as full and we had to go far though later we figured out that there were empty slots in the close carpark as well). The meeting point with the guide was also not very clear and had to ask information to help us.
Anyway we were 15min late to arrive (which in the end was our mistake) and the guide has already left. Only a lady came to give us the entry tickets and claimed that she has tried to call us but could not reach me. I told her I got no call but I have tried to call number which I had in the reservation. When she showed me her phone I noticed that she has added one more digit into my number and the number she has tried to call was not ringing as it was wrong (was correct in the booking).
Then we have said ok, we made a mistake - how can we find and join the group. Can we call the guide to meet somewhere inside? No, she cannot pickup the phone during the tour. What is the route, how the guide looks like? The lady said it was impossible to find the group. She gave no any other information just the name of the guide (Laura).
She was arrogant, made us feel terrible and left us without any hope to catchup with the group. Despite she could see that we are with 3 young children.
We were completely pissed off and went in by ourselves.
1. After walking around I have to say that there were very few English speaking groups. In fact since it was cold and off season (January) not very many groups at all especially in the garden where the tour has started.
2. Is that impossible to pickup a phone sometime during a 3h visit? Especially while walking in the garden?
3. The only information we got was her name. But none of the guides had any badge so that was completely useless.
4. The lady has stressed a lot that we have to be at the palace entrance at 4pm to to be able to get in. We were there by 3.45pm and they let us in at 4.30pm. So that is how sharp is the start of everything... (except to leave us alone with the kids)
5. Actually for such a price we thought a family of 5 persons would get a private guide.
All in all this was our worst experience and day in a 2 weeks of wonderful holiday in Spain.
We were driving 4 hours from Marbella to Granada and back for visiting Alhambra.
We have paid premium price to make it special.
And we ended up with the biggest disappointment.

This is such a brilliant way to visit the Alhambra. Manuel was amazing - keeping the whole group interested for almost 4 hours! The way he narrated the story of The Alhambra (including the legends) was so clear and enjoyable. He also took time to answer any questions asked. So glad I went!

Gracias;

Hello
I am coming to Granada for half a day only and I want to double check that the duration for this trip is 3 hours (including all the attractions mentioned, Alhamrah, Generalife, Nasrid, and Alcasaba) as I need to catch my train. I am asking because when I checked the itinerary it seems to take longer than 3 hours (It is mentioned that Alhamra alone is 3 hours). I appreciate your help.
Thanks
Laila

Not easy. The itinerary involves moving through ladders and ramps (it is a Middle Age fortified city after all). On the other hand I saw handicapped people visiting the place.
Recommend you book in advance and notify about special needs

How long is the tour? See Alhambra would be 3 hours, Generalife 60 minutes, Alcazaba 40 minutes and Nasrid Palaces 75 minutes. Total 5 hours 55 minutes?
