Shore excursion to Seville
Dec 2019
We spent a wonderful day with Spain Day Tours on our ship excursion tour from Cadiz to Seville. The entire tour was efficiently run. The tour guide on the bus was informative and our guide while in Seville was wonderful. We thoroughly enjoyed every moment of the tour and Seville is a beautiful city. I would highly recommend using Spain Day Tours.

Cruise Ship Excursion with Spain Day Tours from Cadiz to Seville
Nov 2019
We were on a transatlantic cruise late November 2019 and had a one-day port stop in Cadiz. Several of us wanted to visit Seville and the palace so we contacted Spain Day Tours to set up an all day tour. Emails were very timely with SDT and we set up our tour arrangements. Carmen, our tour guide met us after we exited the ship and told us where to board the bus. We had a large comfortable bus for the 1.5 hr. drive to Seville. The weather could have been better, there were rain showers off and on throughout the day. The tour was well planned and timely but we didn’t feel rushed throughout the tour.

When we arrived in Seville, we were met by another tour guide (also named Carmen) and we were divided into 2 small groups. We enjoyed her commentary on the walking tour explaining what we were visiting along the way. We walked on the perimeter of a beautiful park (Parque de María Luisa). We did not have time to spend any time here but it was a beautiful area to see. We continued on our walk to Plaza de España (which is on the outskirts of the Parque) where we had some time here to see the sights. This Plaza is stunning to see, the architecture is amazing, our guide pointed out the beautiful ceramic tiles within a pavillion representing the 48 provinces of Spain. Plaza de España is a semi-circular brick building, Moorish in style, with a tower at either end. In front of the building, there is a canal with 4 bridges you can cross. You can rent small boats to row in the canal. The bridges are characteristic of the bridges in Venice. You can also take horse-and-carriage rides. This plaza is definitely a must see for it's beauty.

After our tour, we walked back to our bus and continued onto visit the Royal Alcázar of Seville. We pre-purchased our tickets so did not have to queue in a long line but did have to go through security, which was very quick. Carmen took us through the palace explaining all the interesting rooms. Again, we had plenty of time to view each room we were in. As you walked through the palace you could envision how it must have been to live there. So stunning to see! Our tour ended in the garden where there were many beautiful plants. This was the only point where you did have to climb a few stairs to exit the palace. For the most part it would not be difficult for anyone with knee or mobility problems to do this tour.

Our tour ended with free time to have lunch, shop or visit the Cathedral if you wanted. There are many restaurants located near the Cathedral. All in all, it was a wonderful day in Seville and my husband and I enjoyed it very much. This trip to Seville was one of our favorite places to visit and we highly recommend it. I would be happy to recommend Spain Day Tours to others. Their tours are well organized, very informative and have excellent guides. They are also aware of the time limits that you have to be back on the ship.

A wonderful comprehensive all day tour
Dec 2019
My husband and I booked this tour after I had a great tour of Bilbao, Spain a few years ago with Spain Day Tours. We loved both of the guides; Oscar who met us promptly at our ship the Pacific Princess.. early in the morning and accompanied us on a beautiful new bus to Seville and all day including returning us safely and on time to our ship in the afternoon and Olaf who was our very knowledgeable guide for our walking tour in Seville. We saw so many highlights in the short time our ship allowed for this port.. and had a wonderful guided skip the line tour of the Alcazar, as well as some free time to explore the streets and stores a bit as well as enjoy delicious tapas and wine....we loved everything about Seville, a beautiful city.. our walking tour, etc. . what a wonderful day had by all of the 10 guests that were all from our ship. We were only 2 of us, but we were so lucky to be able to find others to join us by using our roll call on Cruise Critic. The price was very affordable and and so much less than any ship excursion. I highly recommend this very professional company, and this tour of Seville.

Great excursion
Dec 2019 • Friends
I booked this excursion because 1. We had booked our Barcelona tour with them and 2. It was so affordable. So glad we did book them. Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. She found us as we arrived from ship so we didn’t have to be wandering around. Yes the bus trip to Seville was long but we did make a quick stop and were there before we knew it. Then we were broken into smaller groups and given another tour guide...he was friendly and knowledgeable as well. We had a wonderful time. Thank you Spain Day Tours for a wonderful day!

Cadiz to Seville

We thought the tour we took to Seville was fantastic. The meeting of the guide in the morning was an easy task. Throughout the drive our guide, Carmen, shared her passion for her country. She was aware of all her charge’s needs and kept us informed of the history in an easy to digest manner. She pointed out movie and TV show locations we visited. Despite the weather we enjoyed the taste of Seville.

Seville in a day...great
Dec 2019
At Cadiz port we were met at meeting place and left on time for our nice ride to Seville. The walking tour, sights, free time were a great enjoyment. Our guides were fantastic! Everything was pointed out and explained. We even had time to stop for a delicious chocolatte and pastries. Stopped for tapas during our free time. We had a small group and a big bus which was very comfortable traveling. We made a nice and convenient restroom stop on the way to Seville and during our walking tour. We left Seville on time and arrived back at our ship with time to spare. It was a great tour to see a beautiful city.

Spain Day Tours is an excellent choice
Nov 2019
We took three Spain Day Tours during our trip and founding all of them to be excellent. Extremely knowledgeable guides, who loved showing off their city of which they were very proud. It was easy to meet them at the port, and they were on time. They were easy to understand and eager to answer any questions. The bus accommodations were nice and comfortable. I would highly recommend Spain Day Tours. They were easy to work with, prompt in their communication, and knew English as well as I do. We visited the Alcazar, which was spectacular. The time given to wander around Sevilla was perfect. We were able to grab a bite (Patio San Eloy - get the oxtail and you will have on of the most marvelous culinary experiences of your life!) We were dropped off back at the ship on time. It was a wonderful day!

Top Notch Small Group Tour Excellent Company To Deal With
Nov 2019
TOURING STRATEGY: The NCL Epic was in port in Cadiz from 7 am- 8 pm. The best touring option for us was a day trip and tour of Seville. We selected a small group tour offered by spaindaytours.com. 5 STARS (Price includes Real Alcazar admission; Cathedral 5 Euros extra) Spaindaytours PROMPTLY responded to all email inquiries. It was a real pleasure dealing with them. EXCELLENT customer service.

SEVILLE is located approximately 1 ½ hrs drive time from Cadiz. Spaindaytours operates 18 pax minibuses and tries to have 10 but less than 18 pax per vehicle. There were 14 pax in our tour, which provided a lot of personal comfort during the drive to and from Seville. Even if there had been 18 pax, the vehicle was spacious and the drive would still have been comfortable. We saw 2 principal attractions as part of the tour- the Spanish Pavilion from the 1929 Ibero-American International Exposition and the Real Alcazar. There was approx. 1 hr of free time after the Alcazar tour, so we paid the 5 Euros to see the inside of the Seville Cathedral. We still had a few minutes of free time to walk around the central old town after exiting the Cathedral.
SPANISH EXPOSITION PAVILION: Seville hosted an Ibero-American International Exposition (for Spanish speaking countries) in 1929. Each of the participating countries built a pavilion. Many of these pavilions were repurposed and survive to this day, and a good number of them are seen on the drive to and from the Spanish Pavilion (no photo stops). The Spanish Pavilion was awesome. It was built on a grand scale in the shape of a huge semicircle that faces water elements with bridges. The Pavilion itself features tiled alcoves to glorify each of the principal cities in Spain. These alcoves span the entire length of the semicircular façade. Each alcove is different in character and design, and the overall effect is spectacular.
REAL ALCAZAR: Though not as imposing as the Alhambra in Granada, this Alcazar and the adjoining gardens are quite different in architectural character from the Alhambra. This is a must see in Seville.
SEVILLE CATHEDRAL: I have been to 57 countries in the last 5 years, and to over 90 countries during my adult years. The interior of this cathedral is stunning and well worth the 5 Euro charge. It is not St Peter’s in Rome or St Paul’s in London, but it is top tier and well worth seeing.

We’re happy to hear that you enjoyed the small group tour. We like to keep our tours as small group excursions, which make the visit more personal. We believe this allows our guests to have a better experience than that of the big bus tours. Thank you for saying that we provided excellent customer service. We hope to see you again! SpainDayTours

Great day with Spain Day Tour Guide
Oct 2019
We had a group of 9 friends take this tour from Cadiz to Seville on our recent Holland America Cruise. The weather not a little rainy but our tour guide did a great job of making it an outstanding day of touring. We used this company for 4 different ports on the cruise and all of the tours were 5 star. We will use them again if we are in this area.
