About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- L6206GVreginal0 contributionsGreat day tripPhantastic Trip, great mixture of sights. Estafan was a competent and entertaining guide. He brought it all to life with his amazing knowledge.Written 25 September 2024
- Alica790 contributionsPacked with information and sightsWe visited so much during some 8 hours. The guide, Stefan, was highly professional and informative. I didn't expect much from any of the places, but got so much, especially in Gernika, which is such a wonderful place, after such horrible events that happened there during history. I also loved Bermeo, with its colorful houses.Written 10 September 2024
- N2107LLelizabethc0 contributionsCertainly worth a visitCovadonga is certainly worth a visit. The basilica there was built in honour of St Ignatious Loyola. The basilica itself is well worth a visit but so is the tiny chapel in the rock along with other buildings. There is a large car park too. You can spend several hours there, there are toilets and a little Café. It is an impressively built place. We went on a fine day, it's high up in the Picos de Europe.Written 8 September 2024
- 988TomT0 contributionsLovely day trip to La Rioja wineries.Loved this tour which compared with other day tours in the region was cheap! The experience is not. Haro and Laguardia are charming and the wineries chosen both interesting. Tastings were paired with cheese and charcuterie. Our guide Estaphan was informative and entertaining, and kept us in line. Although we were on a large coach the drive was comfortable with good seating and a/c. The experience left us hungry (and thirsty) for more of la Rioja. Highly recommended.Written 2 September 2024
- bryanvY8778SR0 contributionsPoor communicationPoor communication. Sold me a tour through email and then unilaterally switched mode of communication to something else called GYG, a messaging system within Viator/TripAdvisor, without saying a word about the switch in an email or on the ticket. The ticket says nothing about a start time other than the museum’s hours of operation. Neither the ticket nor any email says anything about checking for messages on GYG. No voicemail or text either (the call from an unknown number at the last minute with no message did not help). Thus, the tour was set at a time of the operator’s choosing with no effective notice to us. They then refused to issue a refund.Written 20 August 2024
- John Mark M0 contributionsFirst visit to BilbaoOur guide was good and shared bilingual Spanish and English. We had a predominate Spanish speaking group , so there are still dynamics you must absorb in being the minority , but he did a good job of managing it. He even tried to get 4 English speaking people on the tour to sit in front of the bus to avoid having the microphone on for both translations, but people who had entered the bus anchored those seats and would not move when requested. Our point. Wing he managed the situation very well and a were made to be welcome . I would do this tour again . Might consider San Sebastián on a day other than Saturday as the locals had many of the restaurants covered. But we worked through that too.Written 6 July 2024

- ed841140 contributionsExcellent day outExcellent day out with Stephane, a knowledgable and articulate tour guide, clearly proud of his Basque heritage. We walked the historic quarter of Vitoria Gateiz and learned of Napoleonic times followed by, in our case, coffee and pintxos. We then visited Laguardia and learned of the origin of the tunnels where wine is stored, followed by a bodega visit and wine tasting. We were given a recommentation for lunch where my wife rated the pintxos the best she had tasted (see photos). All in all this was a very enjoyable tour and very good value.Written 21 November 2023
- jodyk5400 contributionsBasque Country excursionWe visited with our kids (17 & 21, so not really kids…) and had a good experience. Most of the tour attendees were Spanish speakers, but Sonja our guide was very good about giving the information in both languages. I never felt we were getting an abridged version. Vitoria was a beautiful stop and the salt flats were fascinating. The last stop in Getxo was fine, nothing particularly great. The lunch in a converted monastery was delicious, and a nice way to break up the day. I would recommend it as a good way to cover a lot of country easily and quickly.Written 7 November 2023
- jiayinchok0 contributionsGreat tour guide!Stefano was a great tour guide! I would really recommend this trip, particularly if you are interested in learning more about the Basque region, its uniqueness and cultural origins.Written 20 October 2023
- Fredrico440 contributionsA great day out!I had a great time, it's a good opportunity to get out of Bilbao and San Sebastian and see some of the Basque countryside. I went with my wife who was pregnant and the tour was very suitable for her. The lunch was delicious and the salt beds were a great experience.Written 30 September 2023
- Companion296517917880 contributionsEnjoyable day excursionWe loved the walk to the church. Great exercise, stupendous views. On the way back we had time for delicious snacks and coffee near the parking lot. The next stop was a fishing village. The walk out to the end of the pier and back took us the entire time allotted. I think this was because some on the tour were late getting back to the bus which put us behind schedule. Be considerate folks! We could have also enjoyed a glass of wine/beer/coffee with views of the coast but we love to walk. It was nice to have options. The last stop -Gernika was very touching. The guide walked us through the town and shared some history. Would recommend this low touch tour.Written 15 September 2023

Great tour experience. The drive is long but worth it. Tour guide was amazing and we felt less pressured visiting places even though more time to wonder would have been dope. We waisted too much time waiting for people to come back on time.
No boat tour as advertised on the page. That was disappointing given that its in the description.
Do bring a passport they are being strict during crossing.

It was a beautiful tour. In my opinion San Juan de Luz was the best place. It was a shame we didn't stop there longer for lunch rather than San Sebastian, which was cooked with tourists. The views from the mountain of the bay at San Sebastian were an added highlight. Well worth visiting longer than a few hours but this trip wets the appetite. I recommend the cheesecake in San Sebastian and the ice- cream down by the beach. For those with a sweet-tooth.

It is a nice trip through Basque country, that included Spanish and French towns. It also allowed to see country side. The guide Pascu was entertaining and knowledgeable. The views were great, but unfortunately we didn't have much time in each place. A little bit more time in San Sebastian. But like our guide said, this tour is just a teaser, to hook us up on the beauty of the region.

The bus and driver were very good. Getting to Biarritz took about 90 minutes. This town was lovely. The stop was enough time to walk along the promenade, get a coffee and a few pictures and maybe visit one site or a couple shops, The next town was also nice. Beautiful beach and macrons to take as a souvenir. Back on the Spain side the 3rd stop was not enjoyable. Not enough time for lunch as every restaurant has a long wait or would just say “No, completo.” There’s nothing you can see within an hour that is interesting at all. The 4th town, San Sebastián, we should have had a tour, spent more time and also had our lunch spot. More and better choices. More beautiful town. The final location in San Sebastián hill top was only for the picture. It’s a good view but keep in mind it’s only a photo op. I don’t know if there are better choices for a trip from Bilbao but this was just okay. The guide was fine but gave more descriptions in Spanish than English. And when he was speaking in English the Spanish people on the bus would start chattering so it was hard to hear the guide clearly.

Good transportation in comfortable van. Microphone didn't work, but Stephan's guide is good and described everything loud and clear. Rainy weather didn't help. The tour of San Sebastián deserved more time, as we did not enter any monument to be able to meet the return time. Good and punctual tour on the exit and arrival back to Bilbao. Compliments to the guide Stephan: friendly and knows well the history of the visited places and the Basque language.

Visited Bilbao as a day trip during a recent cruise and went to the Guggenheim. Place was great - the classic cars display made the day!! Although, not the art buff, I did enjoy the kids faces when trying to fathom what the ‘art’ on display actually was……
The ‘Looks like dodgy artexing on a wall’ and ‘Did someone sneeze on that painting and colour it in?’ comments from the youngsters brought a chuckle or two….
The weather was great too - a welcome 31 deg Celsius was well received. And the girls loved the shopping as well……
Great museum, lovely city, cracking weather and lots of shops……

Even though this was an enjoyable tour, with a very good, informative guide and driver, it was NOT as advertised. The tour runs only on Sundays but once we were on the tour we were told NO vehicles are allowed in Biarritz on Sundays, so we would have to make do with a stop for a view above the town. The driver did try and ask for permission but we were not allowed. Also the advertised boat trip did not happen because there was not enough time. We did have time however to do drop offs for other tours. I have tried to find somewhere on this site to register a complaint but there does not seem to be a way.

Dear client,
Please note that the traffic restrictions in Biarritz are always the first sunday of the month and sadly, we can not do nothing about. Regarding to the boat tour, sometimes, we have to avoid it in order to offer more free time for lunch in Hondarribia and a more relaxed afternoon in San Sebastian. Hope you had a nice experience!

Beautiful cities to visit and great transportation in a mini-van with a small group. Unfortunately the tour was not as described on TripAdvisor. There were no guided tour and we were left to wander the cities by ourselves. The order of the visits were completely reversed and the boat cruise portion was complete ABSENT from the tour. The tour also ended one full hour ahead of time. Therefore, we really didn’t get the full tour that what we paid for so it was very disappointing.

Dear Sylvie,
We are sorry to hear that your expectations were not met.
Please be advised that the tour we operate is entirely the same itinerary as described in Viator and is always a guided tour with guided walking tours in the cities.
No boat trips are included and are not included in the description.
We have checked and are not aware of any bookings under your name, so if you give us more details of your booking, we can check further.
Kind regards.
