      Wine tasting on the volcano
Spectacular scenery. A wonderful host. Very informative. The wines were delicious. The local accompanying food was excellent. Definitely worth a trip to the base of the volcano for a great experience.

      Good wine, nice experience
Cloudy day in January, we spent an hour in a small wine yard called Los Lirios. Excellent introducing by Carina, member of family, local quality wine and delicious tapas. Highly recommended.

      A very nice visit!
Me, wife, brother and parents arranged a visit at Los Lirios. Easy to book and get confirmation. Transport you arrange yourself. From Las Palmas to Los Lirios we shared a taxi minibus, 40 Euros each way and I would not pay moore since it is not dramatically far away. Still far enough to get some nice views of areas inland south of Las Palmas. After a 30-min taxiride good greetings at Los Lirios and at our time it was very personal since there was only us. Personal great guiding around the winery in english and included after the tour was nice red wine from Los Lirios with different cheeses, bread and other stuff. We finished up in their shop and got some wine back home to lighten up the dark cold winter with nice memories. Overall including transport from Las Palmas 09:30-13:00. Well worth a visit!

      A hidden gem
Me and my friend found this place by accident on the internet. We send them an email and 2 hours later we were at this great, family owned, beautiful vineyard. We walked throughout the property with our lovely guide Carlota who explained the wine making process in English and ended the tour with a bottle of great red wine and cheese and other home made snacks. Highly recommended!!!

      Amazing food at family Bodega
Some of the other Bodegas are like big corporations. If you want a more personal experience, visit Los Lirios! We were greeted by a nice Canarian dog and a Spanish female guide who really knew what she was talking about. We had tailor-made our arrangement to celebrate our parents 75-year old birthday. The food was typical Spanish and Canarian tapas. These were the best tapas we have ever eaten! And the price was quite ok, considering the incredible quality of the food. Everything home-made with love! The wine is great also.

      Could be Great!
This bodega is located in such a nice valley made of black vulcan soil. Knowing something of wine making (have visited all the important wine making areas, WSET 2 studies, owner of 2k bottle wine cellar), this location looks perfect. Ok, might be a little higher though, this is only 250m above sea level, I suppose the optimum range would be 300-(even)1000 m, of course depending on the grape etc. So, I think there are terroir wise all that is needed to make real high quality reds here! The local grapes are trimmed bush type, and the international (merlot, syrah) with wires, guyot style) The owner's son gave us a short tour around the vineyards, the scenery was very cool, as there wer only some buds in the grapes, so the whole vineyard was all looking like moon surface, all black and dead! Invigorating, as we usually visit the vineyards during the green time 🙂 However, here are the Strange Things, hindering them for reaching their best: * it is always worrying, when the owner's son says that he does not know that much about some part of wine making, I think it was pruning here when he mentioned that - this son though seemed to have much potential if allowed to take stance! * the biggest problem: The strange "Front lady" as the owners son named her * She had obvious self esteem issues and a need to raise herself up * poor english * very condescending * treated unrespectfully the owner's son - I really thought this was the familys mother, turned out not. Told stupid things - "I'm responsible for everything, but not the money issues, and happy about it" * really gave us a bad picture of herself * Strangest: at the end, when tasting the wine, and having some cheese etc., there was shoe marks in one bench, somebody hand stand on a wooden bench. We thought she was kidding accusing our 9 years old son with us, but no - she was not kidding! When started gaving a lecture, we really had to say it out loud: OUR SON HAS NOT JUMPED HERE ANYHOW. * A stupid thing: the tasting costed us 12 euros per adult, 6 euros per children. Still, I should have asked, but didn't: do you really have only one label of wine? Afterwards, when we went to shop to buy some wine we noticed they had had us taste the second label, and not at all the better one, the 1st wine. SO STUPIIID!! To protest, I only bought 2 bottles to the 1st wine, not at all the one we tasted. * also, in real wineries, if you buy some, there is NO PAYMENT for the tasting. Get rid off that, or even give it up, if the visitor buys at least 2 bottles. AND DO LET the visitors tasta all labels!!!!! * Also,That much we undertand spanish that she said to owner's son: "don't bring own lemonades to each kid (3 kids with us)." * WHAAAAT!? So, my advice for this vineyard's owner: * get rid off this strange front lady right away * get rid off the international grapes * concentrate on high quality reds * owner must be present and in charge

      Super awesome
I have visited this place today and I was literally shocked how tasty wine they offer. On the top of that, you can feel the love from every single corner of this winery. Amazing atmosphere, people with a deep knowledge and even bigger heart with whom they create this wonderful wine! 😊

When you think you know so many things about wines, there comes another new and spectacular protagonist to the scenery. We were presented the "Listan Negro" as the characteristic red wine from Canary Islands. Carlotta was so enthusiastic when at presenting her family's farm where they keep their fabulous vineyard. She explained us the origins and all the hard work her family went through in order to consolidate a beautiful product. This dark skinned red grape's wine was gentle at the palate with some notes of cherry and spice also very well paired with some nibbles made locally. I decided to purchase one of this magnificent bottles of red to indulge myself and surprise some friends this next Christmas with an exotic wine. Thanks to Carlotta we had an interesting overview of the Canary Islands wines.

Thank you very much for your beautiful comment Jose! I really hope you enjoyed that wine later on and could remind yourself of our small vineyard in Gran Canaria! Hope everything is going well on your side and please remember if you are ever in the island it would be amazing to see you again at our space! Take care :)

We booked a guided tour with wine tasting and a snack with friends and it was an experience to repeat. Carlota, our guide and member of the family business, showed us and explained in detail the whole wine making process.
After the visit we taste some excellent wines accompanied by high quality Canarian products.
In addition, we were so comfortable and surrounded by tranquility, we stayed for a bite and listened to the music they had live.
The place breathes peace. It looked very clean and well organized, an experience that I will definitely repeat again.
Thanks for making us a different Sunday.

The trip out here was perfect, and I would come back, but without a car or tour bus, it might be tough to get to. I am not sure if you can take the bus up here as this vineyard, Bodega Los Lirios is located at the Bandama Volcano just south of Las Palmas and coming from Maspalomas it was a trip worth it.

This is a family-owned vineyard and it has been there for generations that does tapas and they produce white wine and red wine. Lucky us as on our tour we were told that the vineyard only produces 300 bottles of white wine a year. And we were lucky enough to have one. I did end up loving the variety of red wines they had for quite cheap too for a glass (worth the price for a bottle as well). We had probably every dish they offer there as it was part of a tour deal we had. A few of their dishes were tasty, the ones that I did not like was cold fish, wish in general I am not a fan of. I did try it, was worth the experience and am happy to try. But would probably stick to their stews, potatoes mojo sauce.

Not only lots of food and tasty local wine but also, we were so lucky to have these great artists playing which created a fantastic atmosphere. They made the afternoon great as they sang great, took a few song requests and just in general were so positive and fun. It did help that the lead singer was half Welsh, so she was able to sing in both Spanish and English which was nice. However, the vineyard venue has a different artist there each week, I think.

Moving on to the venue is an open space venue that serves great foods and lots of tasty red wines. If you drink the wine there you must have the “abecado” or Llantén Tinto Crianza 2018 and have to order a few of their delicious tapas. Most of their meals are meat-based so it might not be the best place to eat for vegans. Even without going on a tour, you can go and look at the vineyard but of course, don’t go picking up grapes if they are in season. The staff here were kind and friendly.

There is also a parking space there if you want to drive up. Also, other local businesses are outside so you can buy more than just wine there.

Check out their website for more things you can do at their venue such as a photoshoot, picnic, meal and wine dining experience

How nice to see how a small company (on top of a mountain) does so much. Everything is done by hand and with so much passion. It is small-scale but everyone is so motivated to do and show this. After this we also had a tasting of their own products, 3 types of wine and their own coffee. Plus a small Canary Island snack, just great. Definitely worth taking a look.

Bodega Los Lirios is a small and unique family winery in a beautiful valley. Our host Carlota was great - she is very knowledgeable and gave us a detailed overview of the wineyards and the winemaking process. Our tour ended tasting delicious wine and tapas which were all locally made. One of the best winery tours I've been to, highly recommend!
