Experience a 1.5-hour trip aboard the fast boat "Biosfera Jet" along the west coast of Lanzarote Island. We depart from Puerto del Carmen Marina, giving a quick briefing about the trip and safety matters on board. The crew then starts their search for dolphins and whales, and any other marine wildlife, using binoculars, doing their best with their experienced eyes. During the trip, our qualified crew will give you detailed information about the species of cetaceans you are seeing as well as other technical and historic information to ensure a complete and unique experience. Enjoy the astonishing views of Lanzarote´s coast or relax with a swim in its crystal clear waters and feel the snorkel experience. Since we are dealing with wildlife, there are times that you could end up the trip with no sightings, although we have a high percentage of success.

      Wonderful Cristal clear water
Had a great time, water was cristal clear, with the swimming goggles I could see everything, absolutely amazing. I recommend even if it's a bit chilly and cloudy get into the water is worthy

      Fun at sea
Fantastic trip , found lots of dolphins , staff were friendly and fun making the trip most enjoyable, cava or fruit juice served along with cake, sun set too late so only saw a partial sunset but the trip is worth doing .

      Very pricey and disappointing
Very disappointed in this experience. Advertised as a dolphin and sunset experience, however both were lacking. From the start it was chaos, the bus which collected us did not have enough seats, so part way through collections (after several guests had been sat on the floor in the aisleway) we had to swap coaches. The same occured on the way home, and we were forced to sit in a cramped seat with our three year old on our lap for the 1.5hour journey back. During this time the attitude of the staff was incredibly rude and we were made to feel like an inconvenience for being a family, and that it was our fault for the lack of seats. Upon arrival to the port, after a long coach journey, we were the subject to waiting in the port car park for half an hour. No communication from anyone. We finally boarded the boat and the seats were incredibly uncomfortable for the 2.5 hour sail. The trip itself was boring and uneventful. There was very minimal interaction from the staff, leaving passengers confused what to expect or look out for. We took jackets with us, however the leg back was SO windy and cold. When booking, we were advised blankets would be provided, however none were offered, despite passengers being a visibly freezing. It wasn't until right at the end of the journey that sparkling wine in a paper cup, with a slither of cake was offered. This ended up being fed to the fish so we could at least see some marine life from the trip as the dolphins were none existent. The funniest moment of all was departing the boat and the host encouraging us to book on again (at full price) because we might be luckier next time!! Please save your money and don't bother.

      Very good excursion
The trip was very good. Meeting point was a bit confusing as it wasn't outside the hotel we were staying at but all turned out ok in the end. Well organised getting the tickets at Orzola getting the tickets and the ferry. Quite straightforward getting on the catamaran once we reached Graciosa. Catamaran was very clean and staff friendly. Everything was explained very well. Sailed around a little of the island and then moored to allow swimming, kayaking or spending time on the beach. There was a dinghy taking you across to the beach or you could swim if you were a strong enough swimmer. Drinks were plentiful and we were served a hot lunch which was very nice. Had time to get some refreshments on return to the port before we had to get on the ferry. Coaches were waiting at the ferry port and it was a quick return to the hotels/drop off points.

Feed seagulls cake for 84 euros
Me and my boyfriend did this cruise for 84 euros and we was extremely disappointed first the excursion was over booked me and my boyfriend was made to sit together on a food cooling box at the back of the boat which at times felt unsafe when the boat was speeding though the water, the the guide stared smoking on the boat which then was blowing the smoke into our faces, it states it is a sunset cruise we was back on the coach going back to our hotel even before the sun had set ,Overall all we feed the seagulls cake for 84 euros was overall very disappointed with the cruise since it had good reviews we know the wildlife is a hit and miss but just felt so unprofessional and unsafe

Don't even bother 0/5 if I could rate it this low
Was sold to us as a sunset cruise and dolphin expedition. The experience was over booked and we were placed at the back of the ship to sit on two food cooling containers with no proper seating allocated for us. First mate was smoking on the boat and a rude German woman was also smoking with him stinking up the boat and blowing smoke into our faves. . No Dolphins and the sunset for today was. 20.01. We were back on the coach home by 19.40 so just over two hours. Would not recommend this was 42.00 per person I would not pay 5.00 for this. The captain of the boat also had the cheek to leave a tip jar on the way off the boat.

Wonderful day seeing interesting areas of Lanzarote, led by Raquel who was informative, fun and patient with such a large group. Would recommend. Don’t forget to take things for the beach like we did!

      Boring and poorly organised
Have just returned to our hotel after over an hour and a half on the bus (with the outboard journey taking 35 minutes). The driver, stopped at a hotel, miles away from our destination and told us that they couldn't take us back to our hotel and to get off and get a taxi. It was only after the driver could see me taking details of the bus such as the number plate and my husband's refusal to leave the bus that the driver eventually agreed to take us to our original pick up point. I accept that it wasn't necessarily the driver's fault, but poor organisation and reflective of another review a few year ago, so clearly no improvement. The tour itself was boring. Only some of the guests were offered a cartoon of apple juice instead of alcohol and the ambience of the sunset experience was ruined by 80s dance music blaring out.

Local Sunday market for best prices
Sunday market with lots of hand crafts and food stalls, best prices in town and cheaper then the mall. Parking is a challenge but there are a lot of car parks offering parking for 2 euros for the day. The market is around a church, with no access fee. It van get very very busy so be aware of pickpockets. Definately worth seeing usually open every Sunday 10am - 2pm

      We enjoyed it!
It was all a bit manic at the start... being shouted at in a foreign language by a very large security man with a baton telling us we were stupid for not following instructions!!! We then got on a boat in beautiful weather and were so lucky to see tonnes of dolphins! Sunset was a little disappointing as it was too early for it but they brought us near cliffs which looked as though the sun was setting behind them! We had some cava (children & teens had juice) and 2 very small squares of cake so if you think you're getting food... think again! Again, once off the boats it was manic again as there were 2 buses and no one seemed to know where / which bus we should be on but we got back thankfully! All in all we had a great experience!

Well looked after by the crew
The crew really looked after EVERYONE. We were lucky to see several dolphins several times all in their natural environment. We were lucky to also have a few follow the boat and we had unobstructed views from the back. We were among the last to board the boat and so did not get the “best seats” on board. However once we got going, we were told we could sit right at the back and from there had unobstructed views. Others were also encouraged to go to the front/move around when dolphins were spotted. The pick from the hotel was also on time. Special thanks to the crew

I was surprised with a trip to lanzarote to celebrate my 40th birthday.
As a special gift I was bought the sunset dolphin cruise. The pick up from the hotel was fabulous, they arrived on time after collecting other tourists on the island we arrived at Peurto Carmen.
We boarded the boat and unfortunately that is where the fun stopped!
The boat was more like a speed boat and the boys that were behind the wheel found it funny to get people on board wet. They spent much of the time on their mobile phones and didn't offer any commentary at all.
There was no sign of dolphins or any other sealife at all. The atmosphere was very dull and we were left with no interaction from staff for a long period of time. There was a lot of disappointed people on board.
As for the glass of champagne and snacks, this is slightly misleading more like a mouthful of cheap fizz in a cardboard cup, snacks were 2 small pieces of cake. The only thing that was enjoyable was the spectacular sunset behind the mountains.
If your a dolphin fanatic like myself, I would advise booking a visit where you no that you are guaranteed to get what you pay for.

If you are looking for a party boat with an arrogant guide, you can safely book this tour...
The fact that no dolphins were spotted was not the deciding factor for the bad rating for us. A bit of luck is involved. Even if the "search" for the dolphins was a bit questionable.
What bothered us was the loud, rattling "party music", which, for us, is out of place on a boat tour like this. The "speed boat" could have picked up a bit of speed, but instead we chugged out of the harbor more slowly and then along the coast at a distance. Dolphins were not to be expected there... The view of the islands from the sea was beautiful, however.
We could have done without the included "live commentary on board the boat". This was limited to arrogant phrases, some of which were rude (to the guests). There was nothing worth knowing.
It was clear when booking that "explanations" on the boat were "only" given in Spanish, English and French, and this was no problem for us - at least we speak English and French fluently. But then you are not allowed to ask on the boat whether someone speaks German and would like the explanations in German. Because then a young couple happily answered "yes" - they hardly understood any English. We found the guide's answer "good for you if you speak German - I don't", combined with a malicious laugh, to be impertinent and embarrassing for the young couple.
The "snorkeling experience" took place a few meters from the harbor entrance - buy a little more time before entering the harbor again...
The 1.5 hour journey time was not reached either - we docked back in the harbor before the time was up. That was fine too. Then the party music came to an end.
In conclusion - we made the best of it and enjoyed the view of the coast. But the ones who really have fun are those who see loud party music and questionable sayings as the highlight of their vacation...

Unfort we didn’t see whales or dolphins but that can’t be helped as they’re wild animals. However the boat trip itself was otherwise dull. There’s nothing else to do but sit in the boat unlike other trips where you may be able to lounge about on the big nets or enjoy the view. There’s no commentary and the little speaking the staff did was unclear and couldn’t be heard. The music they chose was bloody awful and someone complained so it was switched over. You don’t go far from the port itself then on way back stop briefly in a very sad unpicturesque spot with the option of jumping in the sea for 5 mins. No snorkel gear offered.
Disappointing trip. I’d suggest looking at another boat and maybe going a different route. Wish we’d have gone to lobos island or something else now :(

Major false advertising I get that it’s not 100% guaranteed, however do not label this activity with the word dolphin when the chances are near to none. It’s misleading and disappointing. On arrival we were prompt as advised by the email prior to the trip, as it stated the boat would leave punctual. Unfortunately the boat was late and we boarded 12 minutes late, this time wasn’t compensated at the end of our trip, no apologies and the trip was cut short on top of this aswell. Advertised as a 1.5 hr trip and we weren’t even on there a hour. When we went back to the check in office (Lanzarote sea tours) to express our concerns, the woman there was extremely rude. Told us it was bad luck and to go away as she doesn’t care what we have to say. We were told we didn’t understand anything and to write a bad review as they didn’t care. Ultimately we came away very disappointed as all we experienced was a short trip out to sea, turn around and came back. I feel I could of done this on any trip.

the views were so amazing, I didn’t think that I would see any dolphins at all but I ended up seeing loads. the crew were amazing and they were all so helpful and nice. one of the crew members which I don’t know the name of was so great and funny and made sure everybody got a go to get to the front and see the dolphins up close, this was one of my favourite parts of the whole holiday and I really recommend it.

Terrible ,we were told we would go out to find dolphins but we sailed in tiny loop with no chance of any views when told we could swim in freezing sea for 1/2 hour ! Total waste of money €30 each . They will never see dolphins that close so feel they aren't being fare with the 45 customers on EACH trip , Avoid this it was tour we took by miles

What a fantastic trip, staff were amazing and friendly. Onboard facilities as expected.

We knew there was no guarantee of sighting any dolphins so you can imagine our elation when we were lucky to spend a considerable amount of time with a very large pod. I can’t explain the overwhelming feeling to see wildlife in it’s natural habitat, the dolphins followed us around which was so nice as it felt like they truly wanted to investigate rather than being forced for food . Do not give this trip a miss

We went on this boat and spotted a couple of dolphins from a distance, however they then disappeared. The boat stayed in that same spot for 5 minutes, and then left and went back to the harbour. I’m fully aware that they cannot guarantee dolphins, however as this boat trip is specifically for dolphin spotting, I would have expected them to spend more time having a look around for them. I felt that no effort at all was put into trying to find dolphins and not enough time was given. We then stopped right outside the harbour for a swim. The water was not clear, rather not very inviting due to the location right next to the harbour. This time should have been spent putting more effort into looking for dolphins. Really disappointed with this trip and wouldn’t recommend it. Also, to add, the boat was 15 minutes late leaving, although they did make the time up at the end. Felt like a waste of money.

Friendly staff and nice boat but unfortunately no dolphins were seen. We spent 1.5 hours just looking at the sea. Not even any coastline to see in lieu of no dolphin appearance. It was definitely the most boring boat trip we’ve ever been on when on holiday. The sea was quite rough which resulted in people being sea sick and therefore toilets unusable. The crew did clean it up but it wasn’t pleasant all the same. Would definitely recommend taking anti sickness tablets before going on this trip. Feel like we completed wasted an afternoon.

great trip to see the dolphins, very lucky to find a pod of about 20 that stayed with the boat for 15 mins or so. crew were very helpfull and obviously experienced. shame about the 2 selfish women who hogged the boat front for the entire trip, a lot of others would have liked a chance. maybe the crew will learn from it
