      Beautiful place
Second time visiting this place and this time we brought friends. We got a taxi from the cruise terminal in Santa Cruz. About 20 mins and €40 each way. Very easy to arrange. Did the tour which is well presented and very informative. Then had a wine tasting of 5 wines. We got some nibbles and cheese to go with this and paid extra but you can also book tastings with food included. You can also taste more wines if you like! We also ate lunch in the restaurant there and it was amazing. Great food with fabulous views, although it was a bit foggy by the time we finished but that's North Tenerife for you! The on site shop is great. Good selection of wines and other produce and to suit all budgets. No hard sell whatsoever. They also have some nice souvenirs to buy. Only thing I would say is that when we booked from the UK we were quoted €360 for transport from and to the port in Santa Cruz. As I said the taxi was only €40 each way and was easily arranged so don't be afraid to make your own way. Definitely worth a trip if you like good wine or even just to see the lovely location and eat the food. And now this bodegas exports to the UK so happy days!

      Nice stay
We had a bigger tour and at the end of it we visited the Bodega. Friendly service, nice wines and nice food combined with it.

Great tour and great terrace to taste wine in the sunshine
Wanted to visit a vineyard whilst visiting Tenerife and decided on this one because of eco credentials on producing wine. Lovely old building and great parking. We booked online , for a wine tasting tour with Tapas. Warmly welcomed and asked if we were happy with the choice of tapas being offered that day, they did not offer a vegan choice but did bring out some salted biscuits that my vegan friend could eat. We were invited to sit on the terrace overlooking the vineyard until everyone arrived. We were then gathered up by the tour guide who took us on the tour which showed how the wine was produced , what is done with the waste produce , the cellars where it was stored and the underground bank where collectors store their valuable wine. The building is a real tardis as it goes several floors underground, its a stunning building and lots of interesting things to look at . After the tour we were escorted back to the terrace where we tried a young white and red wine and sweet rose which were accompanied by two savoury tapas and one dessert which although small were very tasty. It was a lovely way to spend a couple of hours sitting in the sunshine chatting and enjoying the wine. Several other people were enjoying the wine and cheese platter and other lunch items which all looked great. There is a small shop which has various gift ideas as well as the opportunity to buy some of the wine you tasted, which we did to enjoy later on in the holiday.

      Decent
Decent. I’ve been to quite a few wine tastings and tours, I would rate this as mid. If you have no experience, you’ll like it. If you’ve experienced some of the better wine tours, you might get disappointed.

      Great experience
Beautiful wines and great views. We bought the wine tasting and cheese tour. We arrived 30 minutes ahead so had time to savour a glass of young white. Delicious. The tour started without us which was disappointing as we had told the team where we were sitting on two separate occasions! The guide was informative, the tour interesting and the wine and cheese were really nice. Awkward place to get to and our taxi driver was clearly unsure of where he was going. Would do this again

Great food and wine with outstanding views.
Stylish restaurant attached to wine producing bodega with lovely views over the vineyards.. Our young dry white was excellent. Food was good. Disappointed that their pulled pork speciality lacked any vegetables apart from a couple of lonely potatoes. And the Canaries produce outstanding fresh vegetables… Service efficient and friendly. Recommended.

Don't go here - very rude
Incredibly rude - arrived 2.5 hours before closing but wouldn't even service us a glass of wine as rude young lady said she was short staffed

Excellent value wine and cheese tasting
We really enjoyed our visit here. Not too long but informative and great wine. It rained when we were there but they took the tour inside and it did not detract from our time

      Great experience
A great experience, the views were worth the price of admission alone. Very private, just my wife and I for the wine tasting and then with one other group for the tour. The wines and cheese were excellent and varied. The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. Some reviews say about a lack of sophistication, we would disagree, the wines were excellent and the lack of pretentiousness was refreshing.

      Spectacular
We wanted to visit a Tenerife vineyard while on holiday and selected Bodegas Monje and we were not disappointed. We dropped in for lunch and were directed to the terrace where we sat and enjoyed the spectacular views. We ordered the pulled pork which was fantastic ( one serving was enough for two people). There is a wine tasting menu which we would love to have tried but you have to order it in advance of your arrival. After lunch we retired to the shop where the assistant explained about their wines, allowed us a taste and we were very pleased and happy to purchase a few bottles. Put this vineyard on your list of holiday stops and book ahead for the wine tasting menu.

Drove up from the south of the island just for this tour. The vineyard has dramatic scenery as you look out over the vineyard to sea. Our guide was very knowledgeable and funny you really get a feel for the family tradition that exists here. The tasting gave you great choice served with delicious snacks. Opportunity to buy wine on site but no pressure to buy. Well worth a visit.

The tour could have been more specific on the Monje wines rather than about winemaking in general. Showing how the wine is bottled should not be part of the tour. The Mojo workshop was a great experience, we enjoyed very much being taught by the charming Andrea, whose passion for cooking is obvious, we sipped some nice wines, and had a lot of laughs.
We made our own mojo after that, at a restaurant table near the kitchen, which was too small for all the chopping involved.
The Monje Winery could improve on those little details, but the workshop was a very enjoyable experience. The winery also has a beautiful view from its terrasse.

Really lovely experience and our guide was lovely. The tour was fun and the experience of making Mojo is great! You get to take it home with you as well!
We also ended up buying a lot of wine because they are really quality!

Wow this is quite a location for a wine tour! We went on an excellent tour of the winery led by a super knowledgeable guide. During the tasting session, we tried 1 white and 3 red wines all paired with cheeses from different Canary islands while overlooking the vineyards and distant ocean. Felipe the owner is a really cool chap, and his team were all super friendly and professional. We were invited to do a mojo workshop and due to other commitments we weren’t able to stay, but I’d be so delighted to go back and try it out—it looked like great fun to prepare mojo and taste their delicious wines at the same time. What I found most enticing is that if you sign up to be a part of the wine club, they offer to store your precious wines in their cellar and come back whenever you wish to enjoy them. There was also a pop up studio with an artist who was tinting clothes using leftover bits from the winery, and it was great to see that the owners care about sustainability, supporting other entrepreneurs, and using a dash of creativity in their operation. I would not hesitate to recommend a visit to Bodegas Monje, and I can’t wait to go back!

we had a tour of the bodega with a tasting of 3 wines with 3 canapé. Tour was nice but lady was not speaking very clear English so you really should listen well to understand everything. Nice young wines tasted.

So we did the tour and the vineyard tour. Our guide was Nuella and she was wonderful. Very knowledgeable and her English was great (worked for us as our Spanish is limited to asking for drinks and the bill!)
The venue is lovely but the knowledge and the tour really made it for us.
Got some lovely reds and when paired with the cheeses on offer , pure magic.
It was very laid back in the restaurant area and we did eat here.
Just a word to the wise for vegetarians, the chick peas come with pork - that wasn’t mentioned on the menu so just watch I it for the one.
I had the cheese board and hubby has the Parma ham and he loved it.
For beer lovers they do an American Pale Ale. We didn’t get to buy any though sadly (limited batches) but you can get it on draft at the place (we were too full on the wine)
    Wine portions were excellent.
Would I go back … hell yes.

The wine tour was very informative with lots of information about the history of wine making in the Canaries and the vineyard itself. The mojo sauce workshop was superb. The chef was very knowledgeable and carefully showed how to make our own sauces. Again there was lots of information about the history and development of the sauce on the island. The sauces were so delicious and nothing like the stuff we had bought in the supermarket. We followed this with an amazing lunch and wine tasting. It was a fascinating day, all the staff friendly and helpful, excellent value for money and definitely worth a visit.

We did the wine tour which was good but the part we enjoyed most was the wine tasting. We were served 5 lovely wines, good explanations about each. We ordered food to go with them, took our time and relaxed in the most beautiful setting. We then tried some other wines, because we could! No pressure to buy, lovely staff and the most lovely few hours.

Our guide was very informative and friendly. The whole experience was great from start to finish. The views were stunning and the the journey through the cellar was very cool. We especially liked the final room which was very impressive. The making of the Mojo was a fun experience but as we learnt go easy on the salt. The staff were very friendly and the wine was of good quality.

Not a good experience as we waited 30 minutes between the glaseres of wine. They complained that there was to many people, even though we had prebooked. I also got sick after what we believe must been one of the cheeses..
