Just returned back from our quad bike trip to Mt Teide with Quad Safari and it was absolutely amazing. Its the perfect way to see the sights of the National Park surrounding the volcanoes and mountains with that added adrenaline rush and fun of riding the quads.

We were picked up bang on time from our hotel and taken to the garage where the quads are kept. We had forms and driving license checks to sign and then a safety introduction to riding the quads. After this we had a test drive around the car park to familiarise us with how to operate them, this really helped build my confidence and make me more comfortable as I was nervous at first.

We were offered jackets to hire which I would recommend as it gets quite cool on the ascent and the weather can be unpredictable.

We stopped half way up for a rest/toilet, drink, snacks etc at a small cafe in the hills which was very nice.

Once we reached the top the guides were very knowledgeable of the area and gave us a little bit of history of the mountains which was nice.

The guides were very experienced and helpful and put us at ease throughout, periodically checking we were all okay and making sure we were safe.

We had such a fun time and will definitely be back on our next visit. It was brilliant from beginning to end and worth every penny. We also got dropped off back to our hotel after which was handy.

I would recommend wearing sensible shoes/trainers, sunglasses or glasses/goggles to help protect from the wind, debris and rain which may occur. I was okay in shorts but longer legwear may be ideal if its a cooler day as it does get cold up there.

Would 100% recommend for anyone wanting an exciting, fun and different way of seeing the beautiful National Park and the mountains. Brilliant day!

Absolutely brilliant. Hotel pickup Views were breathtaking and the guides organised the whole experience superbly ensuring we were safe at all times. Best trip we did in tenerife. If you only book one trip book this one. Thankyou for the great memories for myself and my 13 year old son.

Picked up from our hotel on time and taken to the start point where we had a little go on the quad bikes (they are automatic so easy to use). The guys running it were super fun and super on it with safety on the roads. It was a full four hours out with a couple of stops for photos, snacks and toilet. It is 99% on road which I was a bit disappointed about but the guides more than made up for it.
It is COLD up Teide in Nov but you can hire jackets, gloves and trousers for a very reasonable price so I would DEFINITELY do that
These guys work had and provide a great service, worth every penny!

Been on several quad safaris before and love them, but not this one! Quads supplied for two had warning notes on the back of them that they are for solo riders and not passengers! Hence, they were very uncomfortable! Had to change bikes 3 times, with the final one running out of petrol! One couple overturned on theirs and were quite badly hurt, but all the guide was interested in was getting it on video! No first aid kit was carried and the couple had to continue another 10 minutes over rough ground to a cafe where some cotton wool and antiseptic was given over. Had to fight to get someone to come and collect them poor things. Very badly organised and then they expect you to buy the video!! Worst trip ever.

My boyfriend and I booked the Teide quad bike trip four days in advance by phone. Booking seemed very easy, all we were asked for was our hotel and room number and we were told we would be collected at 9am in front of our hotel.
We waited at the meeting point for about 20 minutes before phoning to find out what was going on. After getting through, I was told the trip is cancelled due to bad weather - it had been raining and a bit windy. I can understand the reason for cancelling - what I cannot understand is that we were not contacted to let us know. Had we not phoned, we would still be waiting there to be picked up. The reception at the hotel had not received any phone call from Quad Safari. Worst of all, the man on the phone was not even the slightest bit apologetic, even when I pointed out that an apology would be nice! I don't know how this can survive as a business if that's how they treat would be customers. Thankfully we hadn't paid for the trip in advance but it spoiled the last day of our holiday.

Myself and my mum went in a group on the 4hr exersion to teidi.

The exersion office told us that they would provide jackets for us because it is freezing as your riding on quads at a fair speed and the ride is very high. It can get up to -15 degrees he said.

We get there and everything is fine do a little practice and we're off. The sun is shining and it's beautiful. A fith of the way up we have to stop as one of the quads broke down, so we wait for about 30 mins and I'm ok with this as it started to get a bit chilly any way so was glad for the warm up. We start off again and the guide whips out his jacket from the carry case....oh right where are ours??? He didn't flipping bring them!

For 2 hours I was driving up to teidi it's was the coldest I've ever been in my life! It was colder than standing outside in snow, as the wind was cold and you pass through clouds on the way which is freezing! My mum was trying to warm me up by rubbing my arms but it was so painful her touching me because I was so cold.

Also a big disappointment you don't get anywhere near teidi!
I went on the jeep safari last year which was amazing btw, and they take you Jus before the cable car. The quad stopped in a lay by and teidi was in the distance. So I drove all that way to see a peak! What the Hell?!! And then have to go through the whole ordeal again!

To cut it short on the way down it starts raining. Absolute torture. And in all we had to stop 3 times because of problems with the quads.

It was an awful excursion! the only fun part was a dirt track they take you off half way to teidi, gives a bit of excitement a few lil jumps. So only go on the rocky trail I think it's called it will save you a lot of money and pain!

I hated every other part! And you know what at the end to top it off, they were trying to sell the pictures of us for 20 euro which had been downloaded from a digital camera on to a disc, not professional shots alot of them blurry. I actually thought they would give them to us to ease the pain without me having to complain. How stupid was I! After i complain they wouldn't have it but maybe that's because I don't speak French or Spanish as apparently that's the only language the boss speaks and I know full well she gave it to a couple who spoke them fluently! What a cow!

So after they dropped me off I went back to the excursion office and they were so understanding couldn't believe they didn't give us a jacket because no matter what time of year it is freezing up there plus it's extra protection if you fall off.

For about 12 mins he had to argue with that lady to at least give us the photos for free. A copy on a flimsy disc which costs what?? 50 cent in a pack? She wouldn't and the excursion office said he would pay and give them to me. So tomorrow after he picks them up I'm collecting them at 7 pm and he said she's gone absolutely crazy and is no longer going to give her business and will go with another company from now on.

As you can imagine I am very pleased with the outcome.

When we bought the trip the agent showed us a video on what we would do, see and drive, we where also told that it would be 80% off road and 20% on road......

The day had arrived for our quad safari and my hubby where really excited 😊 the driver that should off picked us up arrived 35mins late, no phone call nothing at all, we had to chase the agent to find out where the drive was 😔

Driver finally arrived and in route collected other 6 couples, by the time we got to the place an hour had passed.

They showed us how to drive the quad and then we all sent off.....

We drove about a good 2 hour and then we finally got to the volcano where we spent about 20 mins before heading back down.....the drive to the volcano was all road....so we where thinking we where told off road....

On the way down they took us to a piece of land where it was very dusty and spent about 10 where we drove in the dusty land and got dirty 😱

We had a lovely time but disappointed on what was told to us when we bought this excursion....

So if you are told it's off road......it's not

Don't waste you time or money 💰

Went on the quad safari on the 19/11/2015. We did the mount tiede, all was going well till we started to come back down, then a crash happened with the quads. we had 4 injured riders, none of which i knew, but it was pretty chaotic up there. the crash happened about 17.15 it was 20.40 when we got back to the quad rental place, It took over an hour for ambulances to come, the quad safari bus turned up first and wanted us to put the injured girls in, but 3 of them really wasnt able to be moved, as they had what seemed like back injurys. luckily for them my sister is a nurse and im a first aid trainer, and there was noway we where going to let these girls get in the quad safari bus and possibly end up with worse injurys. I am not sure what there actual injurys where, or whether the 2 french girls had quite a stay in the hospital. I have emailed the safari company to see if they could let me know if they where ok, but i have heard nothing. I definately will not be going on quads again. I have given the attraction poor, but not for the quad ride but for the things that happened after, as there is more to the story but i wanted to give the company time to get back to me. So if you are the two french girls reading this review hope your ok .

Salutations.

We went on the teidi tour for my stagg do, You are welcomed and given a safety brief on bike operation (really easy). We took a 30min drive on the roads up into the mountains (going at speed 40mph at a guess) then it was time for off road, we got filthy! The tracks we went down was really rough and great to go off reading down, there was also some jumps where the quads were off the floor by about a foot! Also some banked turns to 45-50 degrees! The views were simply stunning up to teidi! Our tour guide was telling us facts about wild fires and pointing out things of interest on the way up to 2100m high! He also takes photographs and film footage on the way up too which u can buy at the end too! The only downside was on the way down it was just off road which we would have liked a little longer just to go off road once more on the way down but it was an awesome experience. We'll be back!

RIGHT. I don't know where to start. In actual fact, after reading the previous reviews, I FEEL ANGRY ALL OVER AGAIN!
So, I went to Tenerife with my parents and three younger brothers ( aged 16, 13, 9) in December 2012, It was one of my brother's birthday so we thought this would be a fantastic day out and a treat! WE WERE WRONG!!!

It all went very smoothly in the beginning, we were picked up from our hotel on time, and taken to the quad office where we signed forms and given helmets (WHICH SMELL!!). Initially, the forms were basic just personal information, stating whether you had a drivers licence, what excursion you wanted to do etc. However, later on we were told that in actual fact, it was a contract!
We opted for an hour and a half session. This started 20minutes late but we didn't think too much of it.

We were taken down to the basement of the office, where the instructor went through how to correctly use the bikes. We then went onto the van to be escorted to the "safari area". Oddly, my dad was told to ride one of the quads on the main road to the area as they were not enough bikes there already.

We arrived at the safari area and embarked on the bikes, following behind the instructor, going up the rocky hills and over ramps.
It was whilst going round a rocky bend that I was thrown off of my quad bike and onto the sandy, rocky ground. Fortunately, I was not too hurt, I cut both my hands, both knees, grazed my stomach and both elbows.

Consequently, the instructor stopped and came over, he briefly asked if I was ok before attending to his bike. Whilst I cleaned myself up, he stood over the quad for around 20-25 minutes before exclaiming that it was broken. He then took the broken bike back down the hill where we started and came back up.
He told me to get on the back of my brothers quad and continued what we thought was the rest of our quad safari trail. In actual fact, he took us back round what we had already done and back down the hill where we originally started.
We were all shocked and I asked whether the trail was finished, to which the instructor replied yes! We had only been on the bikes for an hour, including the time that we were practicing in the basement.
I started to discuss this in spanish with the instructor, his english wasn't great, he said time's up and pointed out that his boss had arrived with the van to pick us up and take us back to the office. We were all very disheartened and my dad was livid when the boss continually brushed off his claims that they had cheated us of our time and money.

Back at the office, the boss's wife appeared. I tried to reason with them the best I could. Firstly, my injuries were not serious, a few cuts and bruises, I was more than willing to go another bike and continue. Secondly, we had less than an hour on the quad bikes when we had clearly paid for an hour and a half. BUT the instructor believed we stopped because we had our full time but the boss said it was because I'd had an accident. THINGS DID NOT ADD UP!! At this point the instructor had dissappeared and we were speaking to the boss who was not even there at the time.

I politely asked for a portion of our money back and time and time again they refused, telling us to refer to contract! We were not aware that the forms we filled out previously were contractsand had the clauses printed on the back.WE WERE NEVER TOLD TO TURN OVER!
She also mentioned that the quad bikes were not insured, therefore she could not refund us as she needed the money to repair the bike that I broke! THIS CAUSED ANOTHER REASON FOR ARGUMENT. My dad had driven the bike on the main road to the safari area and IT WAS NOT INSURED!
My Dad and I spoke to the boss and his wife for around 15minutes before she told us to be quiet and threateningly shouted something at us in French.
At this point we left and made it clear that we were unhappy and we would be reporting them and they just did not seem to care.

Overall, I believe the owners are dishonest people, with no real regard of the safety of their clients. They have no interpersonal skills and came across very rude most of the time.
It's a shame that the visit was towards the end of our stay in Tenerife and that we could not have filed a complaint to the authorities.

It's a great idea, but it's really not safe and not worth the risk!!
