This was a really enjoyable trip. We went as a family (2 adults, 14 & 12 year old). The route is a long paddle but very pleasant the scenery and weather was lovely. We managed to see some turtles around the fish farm which was very nice. I can recommend this company for kayak expeditions. The only thing I would suggest is that you are physically fit before booking onto it as there is about 6km of paddling and some of our group were struggling to keep up.

Thank you to our guide, Gabriel, who made our experience exciting and fun. We saw two turtles on the surface and saw a stingray, trumpet fish, and other sealife while snorkelling. Highly recommend to anyone who enjoys an adventure! Thank you for the lovely pictures in the cave!

What an experience! It was the first time I saw turtles so close up. The sea was wild so I had some doubts at the beginning, but the guidance was very professional! At no point did I feel unsafe! Thank you for that!

This was a brilliant tour, the staff were friendly and welcoming, we saw turtles and dolphins right next to the kayaks, this was my wife’s first time kayaking and she truly loved it, if you plan a kayak trip during your visit I would highly recommend Shaka Kayak great value for the price. Will definitely do it again the next time I visit Tenerife. Well done team Shaka and thanks to you all for a wonderful experience.

This is the first review I have left and the reason my son made a TripAdvisor account just to leave this review yet..... This was the worst experience of my life we saw no wildlife and kayaked for about 4 hours non stop someone could have a stroke out there and they would die there is no help for those who need it my sister capsized and was getting battered between boats there was not enough staff and there was around 12 boats gathered around 1 person there was way too many people and so undermanned they also gave my mother the wrong sized life jacket causing her to have a wound from the abrasion caused by. My sister has had great trauma caused from the lack of care and communication due to the undermanned staff. If we knew how to contact health and safety for Tenerife we would.

We had an absolutely brilliant time kayaking and snorkeling with Ciros and Gabi. The group was not too big and it was well organised. The guides were super friendly and knew their stuff and were very respectful of the wildlife. Both our young children had a great time and enjoyed their first time snorkeling. So lucky to spot some dolphins and a turtle.

Had an amazing experience. Me my wife and daughter loved it! We felt we got really good value for money and the instructors were friendly and very knowledgeable about the turtles we spotted.

Did this trip in the double kayak with my partner and 4 other double kayaks and thoroughly enjoyed it. Our guide, Caroline, was very friendly and made sure you felt safe at all times (most of us seemed to be absolute novices) and kept us informed of the local area and it's eco systems. The snorkelling was great fun even though we didn't see turtles on this occasion although having to be hauled back on to my kayak by Caroline was not my finest moment! Davide was our guide and was helpful, knowledgeable, and great to be with on the trip!! Kayaking was fun and a workout. We saw turtles!! And cool colorful crabs; when we were snorkeling, the shelf underneath the water was amazing and we saw lots of fish, and a round black ray! Davide took video and photos so we have great memories! I'm tired but it was such a great day!!

Please avoid this company if you wish to go on the kayaking trip. At first, our guide seemed friendly enough but then started talking badly about other customers approaching him. This should have been the first red flag. It was me and my husband along with 2 other couples we didn’t know. Once we got going, after about 10 minutes, he stopped and said if anyone wants to go back, they can. It wasn’t easy but we were feeling fine so decided to carry on. This was our first time kayaking so naturally we were quite slow which seemed to anger our guide. Long story short, the guide berated my husband the entire time, called him a ‘chicken’, said we were ruining the entire trip for everyone and told us we should have never come on this trip. Told us he is nice but if you get on the wrong side of him, then he will show his bad side. A reassuring thing to hear when you are in deep waters away from shore. He seemed absolutely bewildered that a couple who have never kayaked before, were slow at kayaking. When we got to the snorkeling area, we stayed on the kayak as we did not feel comfortable to go in, meanwhile, the guide was on the phone to his boss talking badly about us in Spanish right in front of us thinking we couldn’t understand him. Once we came back to shore, he continued to talk badly about my husband to me as if I would be happy about this. Bizarre and unprofessional. Afterwards, we returned to the booth where we purchased the excursion to let the saleswoman know about our experience, not expecting anything. She seemed totally surprised at this and called the boss who told her to give us a 50% refund and she confirmed that the guide called the boss in the middle of the trip to complain about us. Half a star for the 50% refund after a disgusting experience with the guide, half a star because we saw 1 sea turtle. Screenshots show the messages we received after the experience from the guide. My husband’s ’attitude’ being asking the guide for more breaks when he was feeling sick.
