About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- A7898IEjanr0 contributionsBad service; voucher codes do not work.We bought a 5 day pass online and received a code by email to redeem at the airport TMB machine. The machine did not recognise the code. We had to buy extra tickets. Also other machines in the city refused the code. Staff could not help us. Next day the code was recognised but a refund for the extra tickets was refused. So, do not buy these day passes online! Better is directly from the machine without a voucher code!Written 15 March 2025
- PippaG670 contributionsDON’T!!I would not trust Hola Barcelona at all. I ordered some cable car tickets online and the money was taken twice from my account. After numerous phone calls, several emails and now three months later – nothing. Awful customer service.Written 14 March 2025
- NickyD5650 contributionsGreat value and included metro and train to airport and backI don’t understand the bad reviews. This was an absolute great deal, we paid £25 each for 4 days (96 hours). Ordered online. Collected from the metro station at T2 airport. Used it non stop on the metro and trains in the city and it worked perfect. We got a metro from the airport and a train back. It tells you what you can use on the website. Any questions please ask. Easy access all over the place. Plenty of stops. Always running on time.Written 19 February 2025
- Simone M0 contributionsPerfect for FamiliesThe Zoo is very nice and not expensive to visit. I recommend it if you want to take your family for a nice calm day to relax and observe the nature. A lot of different animals to observe. I highly recommend it.Written 16 February 2025
- meierfamily0 contributionsGood value, not handicap friendly thoughCard a good value for 5 day travel on anything that moves in Barcelona, train, bus, tram etc. Not handicap friendly though, and the subway not as well marked as the one in Madrid. Still a good value though, as we did not want to spend money on cabsWritten 4 February 2025
- lumsdend20180 contributionsPoor AttractionVery brief - only took about 40 minutes to go around. It looks old and tired, very sad looking, if I’m honest - the entrance is fancy, but then you get in there, and well… It’s naff. I can’t really recommend it at €27 a pop.Written 31 January 2025
- nicoletM5244PC0 contributionsBest bargainBest bargain if you’re traveling to Barcelona. Savings on museums alone pay you back for your purchase. Easy to travel through Barcelona on the buses. Many of the best museums are either free or at a discounted rate.Written 18 January 2025
- cttomikawa0 contributionsGot the job doneVery knowledgeable and informative. We learned about the history of the city. I thought we'd see more of the Gothic quarter.Written 10 January 2025
- 463juliettek0 contributionsMisleadingDon't do it. We bought it purely to get to the airport and use the metro. We went to catch the bus to the airport and said they don't accept it. Their website... "Avoid paying extra for airport transfers and enjoy your Hola Barcelona.... etc." Extremely misleading. Supposedly you can leave the airport but you can't get back in? 🤔Written 7 December 2024
- JocelynDeutsch0 contributionsBeautiful Aerial viewsBeautiful scenery, definitely get out at the castle stop and walk around. Beautiful day to see Barcelona from the sky! Worth it for sure and nice to have a little break for walking aroundWritten 23 November 2024
- TJB_Rodney_Stoke0 contributionsUnderwhelmingDid this trip as we had 90 minutes to kill between one tour and plans for dinner. Avoided the mass of queues by doing late afternoon. Tickets approx £15 each and to be honest was left very under-whelmed. Trip very short, maybe 15 minute round-trip.Written 2 November 2024
- suesS4701XI0 contributionsThoroughly recommendOur guide Pillah (sorry if that’s spelt incorrectly) was fantastic so informative without being boring or staid. We enjoyed every minute of the tour and the recommendations given for places to visit/eat/shop were invaluableWritten 1 November 2024
- Sunnye770 contributionsStunning! It was a beautiful palace, and we were very impressed with the beauty. It was the one place that we for sure knew we had to come to visit because we heard how wonderful it was and it did not disappoint.Written 31 October 2024
- JR K0 contributionsEasy way to get around townThis is the only way to get around Barcelona Same as Lisbon…. The transportation system is excellent and with most map programs on phones it will give you the train, bus or subway you will need Seems overwhelming but it’s not that difficultWritten 27 October 2024
- annacrown740 contributionsGreat! Was a great tour. Walking distance from our hotel! Good way to learn the history of the area and the maze of alleys! Would recommend!Written 19 October 2024

The Museum Pass "passport" is a nice keepsake. If you don't mind standing in long lines, then you don't need it. However, we were on a tight schedule. The time savings was worth its weight in gold.

Six Museums were listed on the pass, one was closed on Tuesday-MACBA, the Joan Miro Foundation and the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya were too far to walk, the CCCB-Game Play was not of interest to us, the Fundacio Antoni Tapies showed too much sadness and pessimism, and the Museu Picasso was outstanding, it made up for the other five museums. The Art Passport was a neat souvenir !

Definitely made it easy to access to different museums in Barcelona. The only thing is the city tourism office ran out of the passes and we had to go to one of the museum to get it.

We went to four of the six museums and found this pass well worth it. We made it to the Picasso Museum, Miro, MNAC and the modern art museum. Honestly, the modern art museum was a bust for us. We love modern art (especially paintings), but HVAC units don't qualify as art to us. The Picasso museum was lovely but the collection a bit limited. Miro and MNAC were standouts. We couldn't see everything at MNAC, there was so much. A great reason to return!

The museum was great and is well laid out and structured so you don't wander around aimlessly. The variety of art displayed is amazing and covers many errors.
I used the Barcelona Card which got me in for free and I didn't have to stand in line.
It is also quit a walk from the plaza to the entrance yet there are escalators.

I bought my tickets on viator and despite the voucher telling me to collect tickets from the central information ticket office and that the digital voucher was accepted - it was not and we didn't do the trip because I only had a digital voucher and the tourist office were very unhelpful. Viator refunded me the money but the ticket office was still unhelpful even after I complained on my return home.

I think the pass was really great, I’m not someone who would normally visit lots of art galleries... maybe the odd one or two here and there, but it’s given me the motivation to fill out the little passport docket you get haha! But I actually learnt so much more about art and Barcelona through the medium, got to explore more of the city to get to the museums, and got some great souvenirs from the shops, but on top of that, I got inspired! So lovely to stroll around. I am definitely glad that I bought the pass. You save lots of money. Definitely recommend. Plus the pass is valid for a year, but you can only visit the museums once, aside from the Museu Nacional D’art de Catalunya - which you can see twice. :-)

We purchased this Pass from Viator, we’re told to go to the Tourist information Center at Catalunya Placa to redeem. They said no we had to go to a museum to redeem. We went to Miro they said no we have to go to the Tourist Information Center. Complete circle, so we paid for two museum admissions on our own and contacted the Tour operator listed on our Viator booking -Turisme de Barcelona- through Viator for a full refund and have had no response. From either. THEY ARE SELLING A PRODUCT THAT NO LONGER EXISTS- do not buy this product. If you want this product you may be able to buy it directly from the Tourist Center in Catalunya. She showed it to us, but said it wasn’t available through this offer. What a mess.

Not mobile and not skip the line. Started at Picasso Museum and was told to wait in line to get tickets. We explained it said “skip the line” through Viator. Ended up canceling this and buying tickets directly.

Ours was valid for one - two weeks, I believe. I’m not really sure, but we started in Barcelona for 3-4 days, then went on a 5-7 day cruise, and returned to Barcelona for another 2 days and wanted something we could use whenever we could fit it in. We had difficulty finding the place to turn in the voucher for the museum pass, and then the nearest museum that was open was the museum of modern art. That was interesting and fun; however, we would have preferred the Picasso Museum. (But that was really more of a planning and coordination issue on our part.) I seem to recall the duration for the ticket being valid was noted somewhere in the description. Hope this was helpful.

When I check availability of date, the date I want is shown as available, but the information on this page says "Museums are closed on Mondays, except the MACBA, which opens on Mondays and closes on Tuesdays." How can you say that the date is available, when 5 of the 6 museums are closed on Mondays?
Written 30 September 2019
What museums does the pass include? The the pass allow us to 'skip' the line?

if I want to have my first museum day visit on the 12th, can I pick up tickets on the 11th and start the 10 day window? Thanks
