Highlights
  • Save up to two hours of waiting with a skip-the-line admission ticket to La Sagada Familia
  • Enjoy wine tasting and go to the top of Montjuic Hill
  • Choose between a half- or full-day option
What to expect
  • See the best that Barcelona has to offer on this private half-day guided excursion covering some of the city’s top highlights (and optional upgrade to a full-day visit). Best of all, this intimate, personalized visit allows you to customize some portions of your visit to cater to your specific interests. Start your day with pickup from your Barcelona hotel around 8:30am. Depending on your specific itinerary, it may also be possible to adjust your start time once the booking is confirmed. Begin by driving with your guide to the hilltop sanctuary of Montjuïc, a combination park, cultural and recreational area that hosted the 1992 Olympic Games. Enjoy superlative views of the Barcelona cityscape before making a quick stop at the Catalunya National Art Museum and then heading back down to Plaça Espanya and through Eixample, a neighborhood known for its modernist architecture. Continue the trip with a drive down Passeig de Gracia, one of the city’s most upscale shopping streets, passing the famous architectural works of Antoni Gaudí, La Pedrera and Casa Batlló, as you go. Soon you’ll arrive at the towering La Sagrada Familia cathedral, where you’ll take advantage of your included skip-the-line admission ticket, heading right inside to view the incredible construction feats inside this one-of-a-kind religious structure. Proceed next on a walking-based wander through the narrow streets of Barcelona’s Gothic Quarter. Sip on an included glass of cava (sparkling wine) at one of the district’s local markets, then meander your way back in time, passing the remains of a 2,000-year-old Roman temple and the area’s ancient Jewish Quarter and Royal Palace. You’ll then head to El Born, a trendy area just adjacent to the Gothic Quarter, where you’ll stop for a short lunch break before visiting the beautiful Santa Maria del Mar church. Those on the half-day tour will end their trip here around 1pm. For those who select the full-day tour upgrade, you’ll continue in the afternoon with guided visits to two of the magnificent creations of Antoni Gaudí, the hillside Park Güell and the beautiful La Pedrera. See the itinerary below for more details on the full-day and the two tour options.

Fantastic tour, i highly recommend. Our tour guide, Rodriguez, was very hospitable and enthusiastic about Barcelona and its history. He ensured we enjoyed every part of the tour despite the blazing winds.

Our tour guide Sergio, was so knowledgeable and helpful. He made our experience so wonderful. He knew so much about the Sagrada Familia. and so much about Gaudi. He was such an expert, and he went above and beyond what her needed to do to help us. It was such a pleasure touring with Explore Catalunya, they are the highest quality of tours, and the friendliest people to deal with. Highly recommended..

Having had an amazing time on the Dali tour a couple of years ago, we re-booked for the best of Barcelona half day tour including the Sagrada Familia. It didn’t disappoint! We went on Friday 6 September 2019 and our guide Gloria was brilliant! Gloria had such passion, personality and knowledge. We learnt so much from her and will have magical memories for life - especially of the Sagrada Família. Thank you so much, we will be back.

Miguel, our tour guide, was very knowledgeable of Barcelona with great tips of the city and sites. He was always enthusiastic to answer any questions thrown his way. Thank you Miguel and Explore Catalunya for a memorable day!!! We can't wait to return after 2026 to see the completion of La Sagrada Familia! 😎 Mérci. La pareja de Virginia.

Thanks to Rod, Tony, and the crew at Explore Catalunya, I really feel like I got to enjoy the best of what Barcelona has to offer. Rod was a friendly and fun guide and didn't even give me any guff for almost being left behind (my fault lol). You get to see all the big things you think of when you think Barcelona with no waiting and no lines, and when you price out the value of each individual ticket, the tour is definitely worth it. My tour group was relatively small I think, so we had plenty of time everywhere we needed to be. I would recommend this tour to anyone!

The tour really was amazing and one of the main highlights of our Mother and Son trip to Barcelona. We did the full day Barcelona Tour. The tour was the perfect pace and covered so many interesting sights to see. I did allot of research on full day tours and this one was the best on price and also with how much was covered on the tour.
What really made the trip super special and truly unforgettable was our amazing tour guide Gloria. She was so passionate and filled with information. She had the perfect balance with delivering information and keeping us laughing during the whole day. She was the best tour guide I have ever had and I have booked tours all over the world. She made the whole group feel special, important and comfortable. She works hard at making sure each and every guest gets some one on one time with her. She takes the time to get to know everyone on the trip. By the end of the trip she felt like she was part of my family. I highly recommend Gloria and Explore Catalunya Tours. Thanks for a special and memorable day! It was a honor to be one of “Your People” Gloria.

This tour was outstanding! Our guide,Gloria, was knowledgeable, articulate, friendly, fun, competent, and helpful. The tour was an excellent overview of Barcelona that included the important Gaudí sites and sights. The tour was small, perhaps 10 or 12 people so there was opportunity to ask questions and get additional information. We rode in a small comfortable bus; our driver, Rafael, was excellent. We also walked through several parts of Barcelona’s old town. I enthusiastically recommend this tour!

We had an amazing time with our tour guide Gloria! She was absolutely fabulous! It's so much better to be in small groups of 10-15 people. We can enjoy the city and each other too.
The tour was really dense and rich in history. I had lived in Barcelona for two years and didn't know everything Gloria told us.
I highly recommend this tour and make sure to do the full day!
Gracias Gloria!
