This tour is not to be missed. I had walked through the Jewish Quarter of Barcelona by myself and had completely missed the hidden gems to be found. Adi was wonderful. He was personable and knowledgeable and made the history enjoyable. He augmented Jewish history with Roman, Muslim and Christian history and put the sites and artifacts we saw in context - both historically and present day. The two hours flew by.

I highly recommend this experience to those interested in learning about Jewish history in Spain.

Dina Arad was very nice to deal with one-on-one. She gave me a very thorough tour she referenced a lot of history dating back bc. She really lets you understand the plight of the Jewish heritage in barcelona. She's amazing in terms of her knowledge

We visited Barcelona as Spain started opening up post covid. A few places were still closed (for example the Synagogue) but we met Dina and walked around and had a wonderful time. Dina is very knowledgeable and likeable. It was a pleasure to have her as our guide.
Michal was very responsive and patient and helped me work around our schedule to figure out timing for the tour.

We went on three tours in Barcelona. The other two were fabulous! This one was extremely boring. Our tour guide kept showing us pictures and talking for 30 minutes at a time. I told her we would like to see more and have less talking but she didn’t seem to care what we wanted. It was a waste of time and money.

I am so sorry to hear about your negative experience - especially when the other two were such great tour experiences. We will definitely speak to the guide and try to understand what happened and perhaps she misunderstood the situation. In any case, we will do what we can to prevent this from happening again. It is our goal to ensure our tours are interesting, enlightening, and fun. Thank you for your feedback to help us improve our services.

As we had been to Barcelona not long ago...and had seen a large portion of the Gaudi sights, we decided to book a 2 hour walking tour of the old Jewish quarter this time around.Adi Mahler was our private guide...he was awesome....so well educated on the history and present day city. We loved every minute. I highly recommend this tour...amazing points of interest...great archeology and fascinating history.

We were given the tour by historian/ Researcher THERESA, who was very well versed in the history and little details of the Jewish Quarter. It was very exciting learning about the story of Catalan Jews and to see the architectural remains. Highly recommended.

My husband & I took the Jewish tour in Barcelona with Adi a few days ago. He was knowledgeable about the Jewish history, as well as the general history of Barcelona. He has a great personality, and we really enjoyed the tour with him. You must take the tour otherwise you will miss much of the history on your own. Thanks Adi!! ;-)))

Our tour with David was interesting and enlightening.
We learned so much - about the history of Barcelona in general, and about the Jewish Quarter in particular.
David was so patient with our many questions.
The other couple in the group was also interesting and asked great questions.
We highly recommend this tour.

Teresa met us on the edge of the Call (Jewish Quarter) and walked us through, giving us local color and Jewish history in a warm and interesting manner. We visited the Synagogue Museum, saw where persecutions took place, and where the famous disputation between Nachmanides and the church took place. The sad Jewish history of Barcelona came alive. We were so impressed with Teresa that we retained her for a full day tour of Girona and Besalu the next day.

My wife and I, Plung with out three children ranging from 20-27 years old took the Jewish Tour with Theresa. We had a wonderful time. Theresa was very informative, articulate and fun to be with. If your language is English, she spoke it like a native.

Not only was the tour excellent but she also was able to answer all the questions we had. She also points out when the things she told us were definite vs when most people think something but it’s not 100% verified.

If you have an interest in the history of the Jewish people in Spain then this tour is definitely for you. I highly recommend it as all in my family enjoyed both the tour and Theresa. Highly recommended!
