The Dark History Night Walking Tour in Barcelona
From US$18.90
Overview
See a different side of Barcelona during an evening walking tour that reveals the city’s dark history: a great way to avoid scorching daytime temperatures and see landmarks illuminated at night. In a small group limited to 15 people, you’ll discover lesser-known stories about medieval torture and public executions and explore at twilight—indisputably the most atmospheric time of day.
What to Expect

Your tour begins at a designated meeting point in central Barcelona: the time of meeting depends on when twilight falls on the city. Here, you’ll greet your guide and embark on a walking tour that reveals the darker side of Barcelona’s history.

As you admire landmarks such as the Arc de Triomf outside of Parc de la Ciutadella, you’ll listen to tales of the city during its darkest days. As you explore the Gothic Quarter, you’ll discover little-known information such as how the Spanish Inquisition affected Barcelona and get acquainted with ancient legends that few tourists ever unearth.

The tour concludes at a central Barcelona location.

Great tour!

This tour was a great experience. Our tourguide Alexandra was lovely and really fun. She gave us a good (re)-introduction into the topic of the inquisition, but also had information around some old buildings which weren't obvious to know. Loved it.
