- deborah w0 contributionsGreat experienceExcellent virtual tour. I had been to Barcelona in October and went on the live tour. I have two friends who have never been there. So I bought this tour for them and went on it myself. It was great to see this again and from a different perspective. Seeing some of the sculptures up close and hearing more of the history. when I was there I only did the audio tour. a live tour is much better. My friends were very impressed. this is an unbelievable building.Written 29 August 2020
- 69juligr0 contributionsExcellent and surprising virtual tour "Gaudí in Barcelona" by Nuria BargallóExcellent virtual tour about Gaudi in Barcelona with Nuria Bargalló. Very well documented, easy to follow, a thorough review focused not only on his work but also on his life. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to know about a great genius. An innovative initiative that opens a wonderful window to a wonderful city. Bravo Nuria, AWESOME!Written 7 June 2020
- Duke0730 contributionsVirtual Tour La Sagrada FamiliaWe joined a virtual tour run by our guide Abel. A fantastic experience, great to do whilst on ‘lock down’ at home. Abel was really knowledgable and able to share new information even to someone who has visited several times already. E.g. With the virtual tour we saw many aspects normally hidden in a physical tour: the past, sculptures above street level, or eye-line and future designs. Thoroughly recommended!Written 11 May 2020
- Wendie P0 contributionsMagnificent virtual tour Dalí museumI took a virtual tour into the Dalí museum with Sónia and it was a eye opening experience. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge, giving me an insight to the art and personality of Salvador Dalí!Written 10 May 2020
- taylorwY5631RN0 contributionsAmazing viewsMontserrat is a must see if you go to Barcelona and a tour with BGB was a great way to see it. Irina was our tour guide and she was informative and fun. Gave a great background on the history of Montserrat and answered all of our questions. The views from the Monestary are second to none!Written 22 March 2020

- August1968_v0 contributionsExcellent tour, short but comprehensiveWith only 4 people in the group, Jessica, our guide, performed her duties to the outmost success. The tour was short but gave us all the information we wanted and even more. Gaudi experience is unforgettable!Written 7 March 2020
- 977adrianan0 contributionsUnforgettable Visit to Gaudi’s WorldThe tour was led by Sonia and the driver was Ismael. We visited the Batllo House and Sagrada Família. Sonia extremely knowledgeable, cordial, respectful, client oriented, and very clear in all her comments. She went over and above her duties and illustrated her comments with references to the art and history of Barcelona. It was an absolute pleasure to have her as our tour guide. Ismael was very profesional careful while driving through Barcelona, always on time and a true gentleman. Take this tour and ask for Sonia and Ismael!!!Written 6 March 2020
- David A0 contributionsA Must SeeThis four hour tour was a perfect length of time to experience this incredible site. We took the 3p tour which made it a little warmer and gave us most of the day to do other stuff. The views alone, as you can tell, are worth the trip, but the monastery and all the history associated with it, make for a trip that should be at the top of your to do list. The entire experience was very customer friendly, from the booking to getting to the bus to the bus ride and our driver Miguel, to getting us back on time was all very smooth and easy. The balance between guided tour and free time was perfect. Irina was our guide and she was terrific, very friendly and knowledgeable. She went out of her way to make sure everyone was well taken care of. (On a side note, I found myself only with 50 euro bills in my pocket (curse you airport ATM!)...so if you would be so kind, please leave Irina a double tip when you go. She didn't mention it but she really was excellent and I wish I had let her know in a more concrete fashion when we parted.)Written 2 March 2020
- satishp9350 contributionsAmazing views from the MontserratTook the half day tour to Montserrat with barcelona guide bureau and it was amazing. Had a nice comfortable bus picking us up on time and had a wonderful guide - Irina who explained the city and the history behind it. Irina was very friendly and was knowledgeable and had good stories to share. The views and the monastary is amazing. Would definitely recommend this tour.Written 29 February 2020

- daniellerP9601MT0 contributionsAmazing Guide for accessibility! Thanks Sonia!I have been looking forward to seeing Barcelona, especially Gaudí’s works, for my entire life. When I found out I was going to Barcelona, I did extensive research on tours. I have some invisible illnesses that cause some Mobility issues, and was so happy to find a Gaudí tour that only involved some walking. Sonia was an amazing guide but also went above and beyond with finding an elevator for me so I could see the amazing view from the roof of Casa Batlló, and even saved a seat on a bench for me to rest at the end of the tour. I can’t express how grateful I am! Book this tour! And request Sonia if you can!Written 21 February 2020

This tour was a treasure box wrapped in a treasure box, buried inside a treasure box. A Turducken of treasures if you will. Some of these treasures include but are not limited to:
* the worry-free, history-snippet-laden, relaxing and comfortable ride out of the city and into the mountains
* the breathtaking beauty of the location and its views
* the incredibly rich and often turmoil-driven history of the monastery and its own mysterious treasure(s)
* the perfect amount of guided tour time versus free-range time
Please understand that if eye-gluttony is a sin then you'll be committing that sin indoors and out... don't even get me started on the art gallery.
The good news is that you'll have an opportunity to atone during the calming repetition of evening vespers while the dulcet tones of angelic voices rise in glory as they echo throughout the Basilica and across the mountain...
One of the greatest jewels in this treasure trove of a tour was our guide, Anna Louisa. This spritely, energetic spirit wowed us with her historical knowledge, incredible sense of humor and obvious passion for what she does. We loved her immediately and wished we had toured ALL of Barcelona with her. She's definitely the type of person with whom you'd love to have coffee/wine. Often.
Well worth the price of admission to create this memory of a lifetime.

We highly recommend the day tour rather than a shorter one, which would have been far too rushed to enjoy both the cultural elements and the stunning natural setting. We were so glad we heard vespers sung later in the afternoon, with the boys’ choir participating. This was wonderful to experience in its natural setting. Anna Louisa was a fantastic and extremely knowledgeable guide and the day remains in our memories as one of our most satisfying experiences. A stunning place and excellent tour - don’t leave Barcelona without going here and allowing plenty of time for the experience.

The Premium Tour was a great experience. Our guide was Irina Sytchera, and she was awesome. Irina was very knowledgeable about basically everything we viewed/visited. Any questions we had, she could answer. My husband and I liked how personal our trip felt. I would suggest an umbrella/raincoat be brought along, as we were informed that rain storms happen often enough when your up so high in the mountains, also some good walking shoes. However, if you bring nothing else, bring your camera for sure, the views are breathtaking!! Monserrat in itself is peaceful retreat away.....Totally worth it.

An excellent tour, providing fine insight into the history of the monastery at Monserrat, including its importance for Catalan culture as well its spiritual significance and long history of fostering a boys choir. The tour included access to the inner courts of the church and attendance at a vespers service where the choir sang, providing a wonderfully memorable experience. Our guide, Anna-Lluisa, was an enthusiastic and well-informed source of information about the region, the mountain and the monastery. I thoroughly recommend her and this tour.

We started at Plaça Catalunya at 12:00 and were dropped back at the same spot at around 20:30. Beatrice, our friendly and very knowledgeable guide, explained later that Montserrat is generally busier in the mornings, and BGB, therefore, scheduled their tours for the afternoon.
The coach ride to Montserrat took about 70-75 minutes each way. During which Beatrice pointed out sights and provided some history.
The tour is split into three sections: first, there is some introduction to the national park, the sanctuary and the way of life of the monks at the monastery. Then, at 14:30, we had two hours of free time, which we used to have a beer and a roll and then took the funicular to the Sant Joan Chapel. There is a 20% discount on the ticket price if you announce you are with BGB; this works out at €10.40 each. It’s worth taking the funicular, but be aware that there is some moderately stiff walking, if you want to explore at the top.
At 16:30 we met Beatrice outside the museum (entrance fee included). Beatrice was obviously well-known to the museum staff, so we were afforded the courtesy of being able to leave our bags in a side room during our visit. Beatrice showed us a few highlights of the museum, which has a wonderful collection and is beautifully presented.
We then moved onto the Basilica and Monastery. A highlight was a visit to the sacristy not open to the normal visitor, followed, of course, by getting close-up and personal with the Black Madonna. The visit ended with attendance at Vespers (18:45 to 19:15). This is optional, but it does give a chance to see the interior of the Basilica with the lights turned on.
The coach took a different route returning to Plaça Catalunya, so there are different views.
This was was an excellent tour that exceeded our expectations.

We were lucky to have Anna Louisa as guide. Not only was she very knowledgeable, but extremely attentive to what we wanted to see and do. I loved the free time we had to hike down the mountain. The view was beautiful. And the premium tour gave us access to several things that most tourist don’t get to see.

I chose two tours with BCB, this and then the Sagrada Familia the following day. I will mention Sagrada Familia here because it was not a good value. The Montserrat tour is necessary unless you want to rent a car or use the metro and then zipper cars to get up the mountain. Oliver gave us a nice history of the city during the 1 hour ride up the mountain. You won't be disappointed in this experience....breathtaking views!

No, but see above re the discount. However we found that the time was well spent viewing other attractions there including a very interesting guided tour of the museum/gallery and church, including the boys’ choir and monks singing that it didn’t matter. The views were spectacular enough up there!
