- elliebX3641ES0 contributionsA Fantastic Day Trip with AnatoliThe Girona & Dali Museum Small Group Tour was a fantastic experience, made even better by our guide, Anatoli. He was super knowledgeable about Salvador Dalí’s life and work, offering fascinating insights that deepened our appreciation of the Dalí Museum. The tour of Girona was also lovely, with Anatoli pointing out hidden gems and historical details we wouldn’t have noticed on our own. Additionally, it was great having transportation included. I highly recommend this tour!Written 16 January 2025
- elliebX3641ES0 contributionsA Wonderful Barcelona Tour with MattThe guided tour of Barcelona with Matt was incredible! He was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience so enjoyable. My boyfriend and I loved visiting the stunning Sagrada Familia, the colorful Park Güell, and the charming Old Town area. It was great having transportation included, making the day stress-free and comfortable. Matt was also wonderful about taking our photos at each location and giving us food recommendations for the rest of our stay. I highly recommend this tour!Written 16 January 2025
- Selda Y0 contributionsBest Guide TourMiquel is the best driver and tour guide I have ever seen... He guided the Dali Museum very well with the information he gave. Figures and Girona showed us around very well. We had a very nice day. Thank you Miquel.Written 16 January 2025
- suhadf20250 contributionsFun day!One of the best tours my husband and I have been on and it’s thanks to Alex. The sitea were so beautiful. Had plenty of time on our own to explore and take pictures. Definitely would recommend this fun day excursion.Written 16 January 2025
- 594mariabelenc0 contributionsExceptional Girona and Costa Brava Experience with Aleix! We had an amazing experience exploring Girona and Costa Brava with Aleix as our guide. He was incredibly funny, full of energy, and made the whole tour so enjoyable. Aleix gave us fantastic recommendations for local restaurants and food, which added so much to the trip. His passion for the region was contagious, and his insights into the area’s history and culture were fascinating. Highly recommend touring with Aleix!Written 16 January 2025

- cameronwP5661AZ0 contributionsHighlight of our Trip!I went on a Viking cruise with my family with stops in Italy, France, and Spain. This tour was by far the highlight of our trip. The guide, Matt, catered every second of the trip to perfection. He was able to accomplish everything that was promised despite our cruise ship being behind schedule. The tour started by driving to Montserrat while Matt provided the history of the area and pointed out all of the sights to see along the way. Upon arrival, we were given a tour of the area and asked about the exact activities that our group wanted to do. Matt provided the best options and let us decide what to do. We chose to hike up to the cross with amazing views all the way to the ocean, see the church with monks, and ride the Funicular up the mountain. The timing couldn't have been better and our tour of the church concluded just as a service was beginning. We then drove back to Barcelona to see many of the sights around the town. Matt made us feel like VIPs with his amazing parking skills that minimized walking time between attractions. The best part was our arrival at Sagrada familia at our EXACT ticket time for entry. Not a second was wasted. We were able to see all of the amazing sights within the church including the museum in the basement. The entire trip was amazing and I dont think it could be planned better if you tried.Written 16 January 2025
- 725ghitaf0 contributionsA wonderful tour with StephanieStephanie was the BEST guide one could hope for! My parents and I were very lucky since we were the only ones signing on the tour that day (Sunday) so we had a private tour with Stephanie who is very knowledgeable about the history of Barcelona. She shared a lot of historical anecdotes and fun facts about the city from its Roman era to nowadays while visiting the old town. We then visited Mount Pjuig where we had a panoramic view of the city as well as the Olympic stadium before heading towards Barcelona's port. We then had a lunch break in a nice restaurant recommended by Stephanie before we visited la Sagrada Familia and Park Güell in the afternoon without any wait thanks to our "skip the line" tickets which were booked by the tour. Transport was taken care of as well. To conclude, Stephanie was a wonderful guide. She was very flexible, took tons of pictures for us and even provided us with some restaurant recommendations for the rest of our stay. Higly recommended tour!Written 16 January 2025
- D5666MVnancyw0 contributionsWonderful tour of Girona & Costa BravaAleix was such a wonderful tour guide! He is fun & personable and had a lot of great local information to share about Girona & the other small towns we visited. It was so nice to see the country side and the more remote places outside of Barcelona and the beautiful seaside community of Costa Brava. Highly recommend this tour with Aleix!Written 15 January 2025

My daughter 10.5 and I went on this trip yesterday. Our group was so lovely and our tour guide Manu was so positive and great. All three towns and the picturesque stop were fabulous. Vic was cold so dress warm. Any town in the morning starts off colder than Barcelona and then by your second stop you don’t need to layer abd we sat outside for lunch comfortably. He had a restaurant he loved for paella that was closed for the holiday but we had great fish, ice cream, some paella, veggies and fruit at the buffet before bisalu and all drinks were included including sangria and my daughter sat with two lovely women in their 20s who were fantastic with her. Manu didn’t pressure anyone to eat in the same place and just wanted us to be happy. We are Jewish so seeing the mikvah was really important to us so we walked up the back end and could see through the window the oldest mikvah preserved from the 400s. You could spend all day walking through the streets of besalu. The Jewish preservations were smaller there than girona but there is one narrow street and preserved house abd some remains from the synagogue. After seeing the mikvah and his summary of how that defines a neighborhood helped clench my daughters appreciation for our history. The second medieval town was out of a story book too Paso?!?!
The van was very comfortable and we had such a great day. We could have spent another hour just taking in everything but the trip itself did not move too fast .. we felt like we enjoyed it all. It’s just everything you see is so amazing. You can see the Pyrenese from a distance. We did girona the day prior on our own via train which was a nice intro before seeing Besalú as well. The churches in Vic are stunning. The churches in besalu were not reconstructed from the earlier erra to the same extent and were amazing as you can appreciate their simplicity and the ways they were constructed.

Organized a private tour with Miquel after hearing from a colleague about their great experience. He showed us a wonderful time covering Montserrat, Castellfollit de la Roca, Belsalu, and Tossa de Mar. He brings great energy and is thoroughly informative, attentive and entertaining.
Even with the traffic and motorcycles, his driving would be something his wife would be proud of!
Miquel - thanks again for a great day. We hope to be back in Barcelona again and will definitely look you up!

The experience was decent overall. We had good company and saw areas outside of the city we wouldn't have otherwise been able to see and learn about. The reason for 3 stars is because we had a hard time understanding our guide's historical knowledge at points, the drive was WARM (I was sweating in the back seat with others) and because we arrived back in Barcelona much later than expected, making our evening plans more challenging.

We had an awesome time with our family of 10. Miguel is a terrific guide with an excellent sense of humor. He was extremely knowledgable about the area and was able describe how these towns were populated and its significance to the Catalonia area. In Vic, Miguel took us to a small bakery for some delicious breakfast and stopped by a local restaurant for lunch in Besalu that served some awesome tapas and paella. Miguel was also an very good driver taking use from our Airbnb to all 3 towns. I would like recommend booking Miguel for your guided tour of Barcelona.

Our guide Xavi was very informative and tailored the visits to the three towns to what we were interested in. With the exception of Besalú, which is visited by many tour buses, we spent our day wandering the quiet Medieval streets on our own. Xavi took us to a quaint tapería in Santo Pau where we had an enjoyable local lunch based on his suggestions. This was a wonderful day spent in some charming locations.

Best tour locations and guide Miquel we have had. The unbelievable medieval villiages bit wow... time relaxing at the best small fishing village on the Mediterranean we've been to without crowds, loads of blue windless skies to enhance the day. Thank you for this memory Miquel. The Hendersons

Please for your best time in Barcelona.. beat the crowds head out to 3 amazing medieval villages and countryside with this tour.
Our guide Miquel made sure everything was comfortably timed to enjoy everywhere went.
Ending the day with an incredible meal at the beach in the most amazing village. It reminded me of Santorini, Capri, and Cinque terre... this is called Calella de Palafrugell. Sincerely The Emmons

BOOK Miquel (“Mike”) for your next tour of Spain thank you for a memorable and thoughtful Medieval touring experience. Your firm grasp of the history of the region, well thought out schedule and carefree lightheartedness made our tour memorable. Your restaurant recommendations were the best two meals of your stay. We are a group of 12 set to travel to Barcelona in November 2019. I am uncertain how many of us would be doing this tour, however, can you accommodate large groups? What type of vehicles do you use for this tour? Thanks
