Claudio was an amazing guide. This tour was simply amazing. Claudio’s family owns this factory so you learn so much and see much more than you might with other tours. We saw cheese being made. We met the cows on the dairy where they get the milk. Our tour ended with a wonderful treat of Reggiano cheese, meats fresh ricotta and wine. A MUST DO TRIP!!

Best food of our trip
I was a bit hesitant about booking this and "wasting" beach time but am so glad we did it. We are a family of 5. We ordered the vegetarian cooking class. We were welcomed by Androniki and her husband and her lovely neighbour who was also there to help translate even though Androniki's English is excellent. While we were preparing the food (stuffed vegetables, cheese, tzatziki etc.) her husband kept coming in with delicious food prepared in the outdoor oven. There were delicious pies and fried potato chips with oregano. The meal we ate there was the best we had eaten in Crete. They insisted on packing up the leftovers for us to take with us. We also went round the beautiful garden and Androniki explained about all the herbs and plants.By the time we left we felt they were like family. If you don't want to prepare the food yourselves you can just go there for the best meal you will eat on the island. It's an easy drive from Chania.
The Best Meal in Italy
Although everything we ate while traveling in Italy was yummy, this was the very best! Deborah is a wonderful hostess and cook. Forgive me, I am uncertain of names but, Deborah’s sister, daughter, husband and cousin all helped to make it a perfect evening. Music, delicious food, wonderful wines and warm, gracious lovely people made this a night to remember. If you are going to Rome, put this on you ‘must do’ list.
Such a fun experience while my 13 year old son and I were visiting Venice. We requested a vegetarian dish, and made the most absolutely delicious pasta! Thank you!!
Tita Emmie’s is amazing!
Went as a solo guest about a week ago. First, off it was clean and very beautifully furnished. Right from when I walked in, I felt at home. To keep the cleanliness of the house, there was a small bin with single use sandals for all guests. I sat down and was greeted by a warm, inviting table full of happy guests. It was everyone’s first time but I knew by the end of the evening that it wouldn’t be their last. Each dish was incredibly flavorful and exquisite. I don’t want to get into too much detail about what I had so as to not ruin the fun, but rest assured you’ll leave full and smacking your lips!! The atmosphere was just the right type for this sort of event as it was conducive to talking and enjoying a relaxing meal. Strongly recommended!!
I’m a sucker for food that comes with a good experience. Tita Emmies does not disappoint! They welcome you into their home & give you a detailed look at their process, so that you truly understand what you’re eating. Their bold flavors that compliment each other will have you always wanting more, while pairing their dishes with the right beverage (mind blowing). If you’re looking to step out of your comfort zone and try something new, this is it. Sink your teeth into their Big Pappa Burger & you’ll never go back to regular buns again. Damn, now I want one 😭

Delicious Class with Antonio
My mom, sister and I enjoyed the evening with Chef Antonio. It was a rainy night in Bologna and we took our taxi outside the city walls to a small 6th floor apartment. We were not sure what to expect with the location, but after a few minutes, Chef Antonio made us feel comfortable. We learned to make ragu, two types of pasta and enjoyed water (wine was offered). I should have taken notes for the ragu recipe, but will email Chef Antonio directly. It was a delicious evening spent with great conversation and hands on learning.

An Amazing Evening
I booked this up for my 3 American girlfriends who had just flown in from USA on a first time visit to Europe and myself whilst we were spending a few days in Barcelona before continuing our get together in other parts of Spain & elsewhere. This was the perfect evening. Monica was the consummate “hostess with the mostess” we had a thoroughly enjoyable evening meeting a couple of other diners, good food, great conversation as well as learning a lot about the local history in an inviting environment. All round wonderful evening which I’d highly recommend and most definitely repeat!

Gracious Hospitality & Beautiful Scenery
The cooking class with Androniki and her family and friends was the highlight of our trip to Crete.
I discovered her class from a 2017 Condé Nast article called “The Quieter Side is Crete.” She was responsive and very helpful when we requested to book via email.
My mom and I wanted to take part in the cooking while my husband and dad looked forward to taking part in eating of the cooking. Androniki said that was no problem. My dad and husband enjoyed sitting on their beautiful shaded patio and talking with Androniki’s husband as well as watching us cook. Androniki’s husband brought us several types of pies (homemade cheese, Horta, etc) made from her handmade phyllo. Sooo good!
The class itself was perfect. She did a lot of preparation before we arrived to ensure it went smoothly. No stress at all and she is very easy going. It was very pleasant to learn all about the Cretan dishes from her. We made so many different things!! Dolmades, Gemista, Meatballs in an avgolemino sauce, homemade sheep’s milk cheese, tsatsiki, and moussaka (her family recipe). THEN her husband brought out even more food that he had been preparing in their gorgeous traditional outdoor oven - pork shank with potatoes - and Greek salad. It was a FEAST! We all gathered around their outdoor dining area to eat. The best part of the class was truly their company, including a neighbor that joined us for the day.
If you love food and good company - you will love spending your day with them!!

Was very fortunate to have two guides on this tour, one whom was learning. Fulvio has a great humour and knowledge of Palermo. Was a great way to spend a few hours and walking around with a local I got to see much of the city in a small amount of time, so much walking and the food... so much food. Had a great time and would recommend to anyone who wants to experience the best street food in the world* (*as voted 2019) and see much of Palermo.
Feel like an Israeli at home
We enjoyed our dinner at Anat's home very much, and we learned a lot about jewish tradition. The food was absolute marvelous and we are looking forward to receive the recipes from Anat, so we can try to bring a little of Israeli tradition to our home.

My best friend and I had an incredible time spending our final day of vacation with Sonia and her lovely family. The pick-up and transport was easy and Sonia's excellent English made everything run very smoothly. The estate was massive and we enjoyed walking through the trees, trying fresh almonds, listening to the process of growth & development, etc of the pistachios. The afternoon was very comfortable and relaxing sitting near the pool, soaking up the sun, having great conversation, and eating one of the best meals of our trip. Sonia's family does not speak much English, so a lot of translation happens but regardless, it was great!
Wonderful dinner and experience after the US Open
Our group of 11 experienced a wonderful dinner with Johnny and Julia in their home in Brroklyn. Johnny's family is from Honduras and all 6 courses were inspired by this. From the margaritas, to the yuca con chicharron, the corn tamale and awesome sopa de mariscos, everything was spectacular and the atmosphere was like a family meal. We highly recommend this experience and it was our 4th EatWith dinner and might have been our best so far. Thanks for a great evening Julia and Johnny.
Excellent Evening With Wonderful Hosts
Its not often you get to visit someones home and gate crash their family dinner, exposing you to recipes, strangers and traditions you would not normally see. Curious about the tradition of Shabbat Dinner and having come from a long line of family that is wedded to their Sunday lunch I was curious to understand the similarities and differences between the two (faith aside).
A quick google of 'What to expect at a Shabbat dinner' left me somewhat informed but each home and family is different so it was just a rough guide. For the avoidance of doubt, do dress up, taking a gift is optional and if you get lost Anat or a family member will answer their phone.
On shabbat their is no public transport so your options are to cycle, take a Gett or a shared taxi to their home. Anat can also arrange a taxi for you but our taxi back this cost 3 times the Gett fare so I would stick to the Gett option if you can.
Once there, follow the open the doors across the foyer and up to the first floor, knock loudly (over the hubbub of guests and preparation) and you will be given a very warm welcome and a drink. From there food, wine, conversation and hospitality are flowing non stop.
Expect a wide range of people to attend (on our night Chinese, Austrian, German, Australian and UK, Jewish and non Jewish) plus some of Anat's family and friends. The meal does start with a prayer and mid courses we all got to introduce ourselves. There was also a balcony where the smokers in the group were allowed to pop out and light up during the evening.
Anat and her family were perfect hosts happy to discuss the food, their lives, their faith and a wide variety of topics raised by guests.
The experience can also be booked as a private dinner and would be a great way for visiting Jewish families to host their local family or friends on a Friday night than the hotel buffet style alternative.
The food was really good and if you take a fancy to a specific dish you could always come back for cookery classes that Anat also runs.
This experience really challenged my approach to restaurant eating and I would highly recommend not only this specific experience but also Eat With as a whole.
