- bobN9404VA0 contributionsGreat experianceThe guide was very friendly and knowlegable as was very helpful with us having a 2 year old and having to stop for toilet breaksWritten 16 September 2024
- M4408EZamyk0 contributionsVery necessary while in Santiago ❤️Lidia was AMAZING!! She wasn’t even supposed to do it but our other guide had trouble, so she came instead. She was fabulous and so knowledgeable! Lovely!Written 22 June 2024
- OnAir430026011470 contributionsMust do experience.A great tour full of insights about some famous and no so famous women in Galizia. The time went by so quick and was really recommend it as a fun time before going to dinner or to rest. And for all ages. Our guide was Raquel.Written 17 May 2024
- yearningtraveller0 contributionsWorth doingExcellent Brazilian guide who had lived here for 15 years. Great sense of humour and very good story teller of the extensive historyWritten 14 May 2024
- BCInteriorWanderers0 contributionsBetter than Hop-on Hop-off bus (which we also like!)This walking tour could not have been better from our perspective. While the weather was cool & wet, the Guide ("Adrian") was flexible and maximized outside commentaries when sun shone and kept us entertained, educated and dry when it began raining again. We learned a lot about the local (and international) history of Compostela/Andelusia and very much enjoyed the whole experience! Muchas gracias y obrigado. Ed & JoAnnWritten 24 March 2024
- clays-buster0 contributionsMade the best of a rainy day.Adrian was great. Even though it was pouring rain and he had a small group he provided a great overview with enthusiasm and knowledge.Written 9 March 2024
- susanf8210 contributionsHistory and HillsWhilst on a Christmas & New Year cruise we stopped at Vigo for a walking tour. What an interesting place Vigo was, especially with all its Christmas street decorations. To enjoy the trip make sure you visit the old town with its interesting architecture and quaint alleyways. Be prepared for the steep streets in some parts of town, beautiful parks and fabulous views of the harbor and surrounding bay areas. Just a shame we wasn’t there when it got dark as I suspect it was an amazing experience. We’ll definitely be going back as there was so much more to see.Written 6 March 2024
- Gerry1983k0 contributionsCity tourVery informative trip. We really enjoyed it. Irene was full of interesting knowledge. Definitely do this!Written 2 November 2023
- heleno3450 contributionsKnowledgeable and friendly guide braving the elements! Our guide was super helpful and managed to hold us and the tour together in driving rain - no easy feat! Learned heaps about Santiago de Compostela and the Camino, and enjoyed the experience. Great way to get orientated to the city, highly recommended.Written 26 October 2023
- B9875KHgeorgem0 contributionsBetter meeting point description needed.Meeting place on Trip Advisor portal needs greater specificity. It simply says “Praza do Obraidoro”. That plaza in front of the Santiago Cathedral is huge! It was raining, there were other tours, some were starting across the plaza where there is a covered gallery of a government building. I suggest something like: “Meet your Optimus Travel guide (carrying an orange umbrella) in front of the Catedral Museum door in Praza do Obraidoro” The tour itself was terrific!Written 20 October 2023
- hylkjes0 contributionsGood informartive tour.Very interesting. The tour leader (Incitio ?) told a lot about the history of Santiago de Compostela and the beginning of the pelgrimages.Written 30 September 2023
- Andrew Z0 contributionsWonderful history .The old town is beautiful. Our tour guide shared the wonderful history of the city and cathedral. The view from the park near the end was wonderful.Written 26 September 2023
- sweety19600 contributionsCaminoNice old town but very busy in high season. Great restaurants nearby. We took the train tour around town. Was very disappointed as we spent ages around the University which was boring. Not enough history on the town.Written 12 September 2023
- LKPSussex_England0 contributionsWould highly recommendAdrian was really lovely and informative and we really enjoyed the tour. There was lots to see around the Old Town and Cathedral and then we walked to where the market wasWritten 10 September 2023
- 949elliotm0 contributionsGreat tour of Santiago old townOur guide was really knowledgable and told us a lot about the history of Santiago de Compostela and how that is reflected in its architecture. She spoke very good English, and she spoke loudly and clearly despite the noise around the cathedral. She also gave us some handy recommendations for food - Restaurante San Jaime was very good!Written 31 July 2023

I recommend a trip to Santiago de Compostela to anyone visiting Galicia, perhaps avoiding the busiest periods to enjoy every corner freely.

The tour starts al 16.00 every day in English. You have to make the previous reservation. You have several parkings very close to the Catedral (San Clemente, La Salle, Galicia Square...)
